Try these parametrs : (Change the virtual if you have a real one, and use a pac key ) I trsted this months ago. There is a VPU thread, but could not find it

As @Draco1962said, did you check the documentation ? During launch of the fx3 table, you hide the backglass video. This should be undone if you want to show the bg video during game.

@duv67 Whats the status of your issue?

Not sure if it was alreasy asked/told, but are you running just the 32bit 10.7.x visual pinball or did you upgrade to 10.8 ?

Link on youtube can also be added. But if yiu record with obs studio (without sound), de videos will be compressed as well. In the bottum of the editor, there is an attach option and shows the 'max total size' to attach

If you activate the virtual DMD window with alt-tab. It is still a black screen ? Thats something I really don't understand. Can you make a video of it ? Where you activate and high lite the dmd ?

If you press alt+tab (keep pressing alt and maybe tab multiple times) do you see the dmd ?

I don't think you will encounter any issue anymore. PinballX has an user manual which explain everything you can configure. After you read that, you will be an expert in helping PinballX issues

If the cabinet is network connected, you can check/chnage remotely as well. If not, I would start the cabinet in safe mode and rename the pinballx.exe temporarily and restart in normal windows

I don't think the multiple instances will be found in the log

Pinballx set mouse pointer to a small dot, so you won't see it. This can be changed in settings.exe PinballX sets the startup in the users startup folder. Maybe somethong went wrong there. You can always try by renaming pinballx.exe to pinballx_2.exe so it wont start. Maybe the person who sold you the cab did something for loading pinballx as well. You say settings.exe doesn't work? Mine is launching most of the time minimized and I need to right click on the startmenu to open it. Don't uninstall it, but just try to fix your issue.

be aware that 10.8 is still in heavy development and changes almost every week. rev 1514 is pretty old as latest is already 1613 (so you run 100 version behind) Please provide your log.txt and pinballX.ini and also your database file with the alternate exe for your GNR table if GnR (or any other table) needs special settings, don't use alternate exe, but use the specific table options in VP

Maybe you can try this program. It is called 'Bring VP to front'. It was created for GL (VR) version, but working for DX version as well. Just launch it once and it will stay in your system try. You can open it bij clickingon the mous eon it and will show you a log screen (don't close it !). Now launch a VP table from PinballX and check if the focus is better BringVPtoFront.zip

If pinballx is crashing (alt-f4 is govong mouse back), and your mouse is 1 dot and taskbar is away, just laun pinballx again and close it. Mouse pointer is back and taskbar is back

My thought is that PinballX is crashing after it launch the fullscreen exclusive mode VPX. The one thing I see is that the full screen hack IS NOT SET in Pinballx.

Your log doesn't show that full screen hack is used. So think you missed something

You started to post it on monday. Their must be something changed Did you follow the steps I mentioned in https://forums.gameex.com/forums/topic/29056-perdendo-foco-visual-pinball/?do=findComment&comment=213303, because I dont see the fullscreen exclusive hack being activated. i have made a small tool to get focus on vpinball, but that was written for VP VR. It brings back focus to vp. But by default all should work without my 'helper' program
