  1. Strangely enough, there are multiple articles on the net, that describes that LAF videos are not played on the NVIDIA card and must switch to intel graphics. But for me it is just a the opposite. Anyway, it is working now when switching to the NVIDIA card. Solved ? IDK, I call it a workaround
  2. Check vpu and github. I encouter a lot of issues
  3. Then you don't have at the correct versions of freezy dmdext in your pinballx and vpinmame directory. Both must be at least 2.2.0. Others makes pinballx hung Another option is to use my plugin
  4. Yes, its a laptop with 2 video cards I've updated the nvidia card with latest driver from the NVIDIA application. The Intel card has the latest OEM driver. This version is 2 versions behind of the intel driver. But when I want to install the driver from intel, it warns me multiple times that I need the drover from the OEM and if I'm sure to proceed.
  5. I really hate Microsoft ! Thanks @scutters Strange way of settings PinballX to my NVIDIA graphics cards within Windows 11. So by default it is set to my internal video card. this should work as well, as my crappy PC (as scutters call it) is working on a less powerful GPU. I made a quick video and show that the videos are not displaying correctly and how to that PinbalLX is using the NVIDIA GPU instead of the Intel GPU (my laptop is installed with home edition and I set the display language to English, but for some reason, Microsoft mixed now English and Dutch language, so sorry for that) 2023-08-30 06-13-38.mp4 (yeah I know some videos of old tables are not correct yet ) @Tom Speirs Do you have any idea why I don't see the videos when PinballX is using my Intel Video card ? Do I miss any setting for that ? Latest video driver is installed
  6. This is properly caused by the real dmd driver (pinDMD.DLL). I think you also noticed that table launches takes longer to load as well. As a workaround I created a plugin a while ago that uses flexDMD instead of PinDMD (I have this issues for a very long time and Tom is working very hard to get it fixed) When testing with Freezy for his 2.1 release , I mentioned that DMDdevice caused crashes of PinballX. So in his later release he fixed the crashes and DMDdevice.dll can be used If you use 64 bit, copy DmdDevice64.dll and dmddevice.ini to the PinballX's installation folder (if you use 32bit, use DMDdevice.dll). To 'fool' PinbalLX to not use the PinDMD.dll, I set a not used com port in my pindmd.ini (I set it to com 5) Attached is my pinDMD.ini with set the real DMD to COM5. You can place this in your PinballX folder. This should fix your issue that PinballX is closing slowly and that tables are launching faster pinDMD.ini
  7. I've already put the laptop on high performance, to not get any stutters during game play. On battery and whe power connected. I will check further how to accomplish that it should use the rtx when pinballx is loaded. I see that nvidia overlay is starting when visual pinball or any steam game is started, but not when pinballx is starting. I followed the instructions from the manual ... lol ... I checked the video lav settings as well, tried some differrent hardware settings, but nothing worked. Strange part is that mpeg-4 codec is unchecked and greyed out. I will check the settings and compare it to cabinet as well No problem, black screen is my biggest issue Thanks for all your suggestions. I can try a couple of things tomorrow.
  8. No problem, thank for lettings us know you had an issue. It took @scutters and myself thexwhole night to fix it, but happy we have a satisfied end user 😂
  9. hey guys, I need some help from the experts I'm struggling for a couple of days with an issue on a new laptop. The videos I capture or download from FTP shows black when PinballX is running. When launching a table, an image from the video is taken and the pinballX logo is animated on top. I installed the LAV filters . I don't know how it works, but the laptops has 2 video cards. Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics Nvidia RTX 3050 When launching PinballX, I only see in the log file the Iris video card, not the rtx. Not sure if this is causing an issue. any suggestion would be appreciated ! Also not able to fix the Flash error. I deleted the file multiple times and reinstalled PinballX, but keeps giving the message in the log : "Error initializing flash engine. " log.txt PinballX.ini
  10. the issue should be fixed in release 23.8.29 thanks for reporting !
  11. Bug fix release. This release is a (minor) bugfix release which fixes 3 bugs. 1: In previous release @scutters and myself focused ourself on better performance. Some code was drastically modified which causes unexpected behaviour (Well ... for a person brain damage it should work ) When you rename the future pinball exe file, or the visual pinball exe file, it results in an error : ERROR INFO : clXMLfiles_SelectedIndexChanged Executable [<EXE FILE>] for directory [<Table Path> is unknown. Cannot check for new/deleted tables This is fixed now (thanks @echodun for reporting) 2: When Downloading instruction cards from FTP or Mega that has more than 1 entry, it resulted that the first file was deleted. DBM will show a red Information box if there are no valid files 3: Internal fix. When DBM is launch (and when the check box is checked in settings to check for updates), it will check if there is a new version available. When new version is available, it will grab the release notes to display this as well (and even translate it another language than English is selected) Last couple of releases the release notes where empty, because the website changes the layout. this is fixed and hopefully not an issue anymore in the future. Another thing I noticed : In last release we added support for Zen FX. Well, Zen released this week a new table. And what did I see when launching DBM : the new table was automaticlly added with all the information ! Thanks Fraesh for keeping the VPDB up to date that DBM is using. pretty need feature, right ? thanks to @scutters for getting DBM up to date as well
  12. Did you replaced the file in the installation folder of DBM ? This is just only the modified exe and need all the rest of the files as well. Its not an installer
  13. I did a quick fix as it is a bug (and we, scutters and I, are really sorry for that). Can you try with vpinball64.exe again an replace the DBM exe with the following : PinballX Database Manager.exe
  14. The exe file fkr 64 bit should be Vpinballx64.exe Althought this is a bug in DBM that was introduced in the last version. If you rename the exe it will be a workaround and bug will be fixed, so you can rename the vpinball.exe to any exe.
  15. As in mentioned in my previous post: please use the support thread for issues, as I cannot track issues here. VPinballX-x86.exe is not an original supported exe file. Starting from10.8 VPinballX.exe is 32 bit and VPinball64.exe is used for 64 bit of the DX version. If you put your issue on the support page along with your ini and log file, we will check it further and do a follow up on it
  16. This message appears when it cannot find a correct install of PinballX .Net core, PinballX Legacy or Touch-play. If a previous version of DBM is working fine, and a newer version is giving you issues you can always revert back and create an issue in the support thread
  17. Really, really, really nice works @scutters ! Now I can make some animated underlays like these: Or curved for cabinet mode : Thanks you, thank you, thank you !
  18. Can you post your log.txt and pinballx.ini as attachment after you reproduced your issue? Thank you
  19. Read the first post. It contains a link with the colored names in it. With this link : https://github.com/freezy/dmd-extensions#game-names Its for getting tpa, fx and fx3 games to get colorized
  20. What version you use of vpinmame, directb2s and visualnpinball ?
  21. Fx3 or fx ? On both the dmd is working perfectly in color with latest freezy. Table 139 is Kung fu Panda. It's indeed wtrong in the xml. I will upload a new xml when I'm at the pc (as I have wheel images, i didn't noticed it) And please post in English
  22. We can have a long argue about it, but we are just people that will try to help As the creator/founder/master/god himself said :
  23. It doesnt matter on why hardware screen the display is, but it should be the first screen on the left. My order is 2-1-3 as well, (2 = playfield, 1= backglass, 3 = dummy hdmi for toppr/vdmd etc) If really want to have playfield on nr 1, try using dc2.e e from 12noon (https://12noon.com/?page_id=641). With this you can create an xml from your configuration, and modify the with notepad. During launch of windows, import these settings and you always good. I used this on my previous cab to have consistent monitor setup as windows could swap something, but my new pc doesnt have any issue with it
  24. Its just the swap of position in the windows display settings. Not changing cables or what so ever.
