  1. No issues with downloading and this version is working fine for me as well
  2. I think all is working for me as well
  3. Version 25.04.15 is just released The Spaghetti Release is Here! We’re excited to announce the latest update, crafted by me and my brilliant collaborator, @scutters. This release marks a major step in enhancing user experience. Typically, we name each version based on its development phase, but this time, we called it the 'Spaghetti Release', a name that reflects the tangled evolution of our codebase over the past five years. As new features piled on, some functions began duplicating tasks, leading to performance slowdowns, increased flickering, and an overall less responsive interface. For this update, we analyzed frequently called functions to identify inefficiencies and streamline execution. By optimizing function calls and eliminating redundancies, we’ve significantly reduced flickering, improved responsiveness, and enhanced overall performance, without compromising on stability or functionality. While the new features may seem subtle, the true achievement is the smoother, more refined user experience. This update is a testament to how careful code optimizations can untangle complexity and make a meaningful difference. Every release gets us closer to perfection, and the Spaghetti Release proves that even messy code can be transformed into something efficient and elegant! A huge thank you to @scutters, as always, a release without him wouldn’t be a release! Shoutout to @robertms for testing and providing valuable feedback that helped us fix key issues. Just like Mario and Luigi, we cleaned up the spaghetti mess, only this time, it’s in the code instead of the Mushroom Kingdom!
  4. Looks like my visual player isn't finished loading the table completely. Is that something I can extend for a couple of seconds ? So it switch seamless again ?.
  5. And when or how does PBX 'decide' to switch from the video player to the visual pinball player? Is there a timer or process that is monitored?
  6. The loading videos are not new. I just checked it and it appears that, for instance, the Terminator video is from last year and the file size is only 400 KB. Terminator 3 (Stern 2003)_Bigus(MOD)1.0.MP4 Terminator 3 (Stern 2003)_Bigus(MOD)1.0.MP4.zip
  7. Enhancing my space with a little extra character. I picked up this neon-style LED board, not just for the aesthetics, but for the atmosphere. Over the years, I've learned that a well-crafted environment makes all the difference. It’s not just about the rig; it’s about creating a space that truly feels like a trusted enviorment.
  8. If it is a focus issue, there a compiled tool on github, that can maybe help : https://github.com/MikedaSpike/Bring-VPX-to-Front just launch the executable once and tool should focus visual pinball.. Btw. Your logfile that you posted was a log from pinballx that is pretty old. Did you already upgrade pinballx as well ? oeps @scuttersalready mentioned this
  9. @TT11are you using DOF with the dof plugin as well ? Maybe I have another issue than you have
  10. Each of those systems initiates a launcher program; however, VP is the only emulator I'm using that using loading videos before transitioning to the emulator itself. I've disabled all plugins, but doesn't make a difference. It appears that vpinmame previously displayed DMD frames before transitioning to VPX. Perhaps vpx 10.8 is slower, causing a delay in frame display on the DMD. But don't know how pinvallx de idea when to switch to vpx.
  11. I've been encountering an issue with the transition from PinballX to Visual Pinball, where the screen briefly turns black during launch. While this doesn't happen every single time, it occurs most of the time, making the transition look rough and inconsistent. After investigating, I noticed that VPinMAME does not appear to be fully loaded when PinballX switches to Visual Pinball. This may be causing the black screen delay before the table actually loads. Normally, when using Scutter’s Loading Image Changer plugin, the transition looked much smoother. The playfield loading video was displayed during loading, and once Visual Pinball was fully ready, the system switched over seamlessly. To illustrate this issue, I’ve attached three videos that show how the DMD is not displaying anything when PinballX transitions to Visual Pinball which properly causes the black screen It's not the small black screen when launching the table, but the part after the loading video is gone and showed Visual Pinball I don't know when this occurred for the first time and with what PinballX version this started. I'm using the final version of Visual Pinball 64 bit. and use the DX version (only GL for VR) tested with Full screen exclusive, and window mode and doesn't make difference log.txt PinballX.ini
  12. I noticed that indeed a slight performance increase between Full Exclusive mode and Full Screen Window (but get less FPS when switching to Windowed) But I noticed that there was a big delay when turning of the Swisslixards DOF plugin. If I enabled the DOF plugin it takes around 16 seconds when closing VPX and get back to PBX (and VPX doesn't get closed correctly, so it needed to be killed ?) : 07:28:44.04 10-4-2025: Exit System Control Pressed 07:28:44.63 10-4-2025: Found Visual Pinball editor window 07:28:52.85 10-4-2025: Killing process 07:28:52.85 10-4-2025: Process Closed 07:28:57.40 10-4-2025: Getting high score 07:28:57.50 10-4-2025: Writing high score 07:29:02.73 10-4-2025: Created DirectX BackGlass Window 07:29:02.76 10-4-2025: Created DirectX Topper Window When turning off the plugin, it takes around 4 seconds to close VPX and return to PBX (process doesn't need to be killed): 06:42:48.82 10-4-2025: Exit System Control Pressed 06:42:50.14 10-4-2025: Found Visual Pinball editor window 06:42:51.38 10-4-2025: Process Closed 06:42:52.45 10-4-2025: Getting high score 06:42:52.57 10-4-2025: Writing high score 06:42:52.74 10-4-2025: Created DirectX BackGlass Window 06:42:52.76 10-4-2025: Created DirectX Topper Window The one thing 1 noticed @Tom Speirs When DOF plugin is enabled, I launch a table and check the Taskmanager. I see that Vpinball64.exe is runing. When pressing the quit button, the screen becomes black, Vpinball64.exe is running, but become in not responding. But closes in a few seconds. But it takes another 6 seconds, before PinballX is showing something. This is the log from that when pressing ESC : 08:05:38.27 10-4-2025: Exit System Control Pressed 08:05:40.45 10-4-2025: Found Visual Pinball editor window 08:05:48.72 10-4-2025: Killing process 08:05:48.72 10-4-2025: Process Closed 08:05:53.50 10-4-2025: Getting high score 08:05:53.61 10-4-2025: Writing high score 08:05:58.82 10-4-2025: Created DirectX BackGlass Window 08:05:58.84 10-4-2025: Created DirectX Topper Window Not sure what is happening between 8:05:53 and 8:05:58, but it looks like it is doing nothing. but is I said, only happening when the DOF plugin is enabled.
  13. Please attach your log file after reproducing the issue. Also add your pinballX.ini and a link to the table. Are you using FlexDMD for UltraDMD?
  14. Maybe an option to export and import the config files would be handy?
  15. To be honest, I've never played with more than one player, so I've never tested it. The assumption was that `-hotseat_2` would start a two-player game, as this was the case with FX3 and FX as well.
  16. I really love them, but I get a little dizzy if they are on the arcade. Nice job !
  17. It means that there is something wrong It looks like that the option --virtual-hide-grip is not a valide parameter if you remove this, it would do something So this will be your command : dmdext.exe mirror --source=screen --position=93 46 328 83 --destination=virtual --virtual-stay-on-top --virtual-position=1084 530 656 166 For me it would show this : with CTRL+C in the command box, you will stop dmdext. if this command is working and show something, You should change it
  18. Thanks. I thik I see the issue. remove the -applaunch 2337640 from your pinbalLX settings : this is when you don't use the launcher. the launcher has it one parameter : So I think it send twice an 'applaunch' parameter to the steam exe
  19. Remove all text before dmdext.exe in your command prompt. The part befor dmdext. Exe means, launch a new command box and close when finished.
  20. Your parameter includes an underscore after "table," which, according to the documentation, is not coreect.
  21. Your screenshot doesn't show that you have a pinballm launcher.. And your ini file has a differrent name than your exe. Please check https://github.com/joyrider3774/PinballX_Launcher_app for the work of the launcher. Please attach your pinballx after reproducing your issue, so we can see what pinballx is doing
  22. If you run the following command in a command box, and no errors are shown, the virtual position is likely incorrect. start "" /min dmdext.exe mirror --source=screen --position=93 46 328 83 --destination=virtual --virtual-stay-on-top --virtual-hide-grip --virtual-position=1084 530 656 166 is Pinball Wicked closed after you changed the 'process to monitor' ?
  23. Be aware that pinball wicked isn't made for multi monitor setup, but @joyrider3774did a good job to make it workable. First: do you see a dmd on your playfield? Make sure it is on the playgoeld. Second, within the batchfile "pinball wicked launch before.bat' the last lines is dmdext.exe. this is freezy's dmdext.exe. you can download from github. Make sure the coordinates of the dmd in game are correct with "--source=screen --position=93 46 328 83". This could be differrent if monitor resolutions are differrent. Also check the destination coordinates : "--virtual-position=1084 530 656 166". What I should do is to run the command just in Windows and check if it won't errors. You can also see if the dmd is mirroring on the 2nd monitor Try to set the "process to monitor" to 'PinballWicked-Win32-Shipping.exe' this is the exe from steam, and I use that. Not sure. Didn't check for a while. If the program needs to rotate 90 or 270 degrees, you can also use a 90 or 270 loading image and use @scuttersde-randomizer plugin :https://forums.gameex.com/forums/topic/23127-plugin-pinballx-loading-video-image-changer-de-randomiser-v2/ I hope it helps
  24. When encountering this issue, please try saving your log file; it might help determine the cause of the slowness. I've only observed slow performance with VPX 10.8 and haven't yet had the opportunity to investigate further.
