  1. The Pinball FX launcher, was originally create by @joyrider3774as Pinball FX didn't have direct launch support. As is stated on his github, the project is deprecated :https://github.com/joyrider3774/PinballFXLauncher If you want a game to launch which have direct table support, but you want to launch it with extra parameter, you can use @joyrider3774his PinballX launcher https://github.com/joyrider3774/PinballX_Launcher_app This program will add extra parameters before the game is launched. Created for Pinball FX, but can be used by Pinball FX, zaccaria Pinball and also Pinball wicked. Even every (steam?) App that can be launched with e tra parameters, like players and/or game type
  2. Fix it ? That's what I should do
  3. I have the same issue on my test system with a 3440x1440 ultra-wide screen. It's because the text is too wide for the boxes to be displayed, displayed by the Tohama font. edit : Change the (ttf) font by placing the ttf file in the media/font folder. I don't think you can adjust the font size. No, I tried, but it doesn't work. I only had this on my test machine and never really looked into it. Even with a tiny font and minimal text: @Tom Speirs it looks like text from next line is also in the first this is my exit screen and Return and EXIT are showed on line 1. candidate for a bug ?
  4. FX3 doesn't support MP4 files, so this doesn't make sense. Did you confirm when launching FX3 that there is no backglass? What do you see on backglass ? Always attach the files when changing something so we can see how PinballX is handling the changes.
  5. Besides your running an old version of PinballX (please update to get full support), you have setup pinballx correctly. I thought that you need to set in pinball fx3 the "backglass reposition" to off, to not use the backglass file. This should keep the animated backglass from pinballx to show during game play
  6. Can you post a log file and your settings file ?
  7. You should not add the mp4's to the zen fx3 game to show them, but leave the video playing from pinballX Think this will help : The option to enable video playback within the game can be configured through the game manager. I would prefer to use DataBaseManager 😎
  8. Version 25.09.04 is just released First off, a big thanks to @bushav for reporting a launch error (see Link to issue). The error message included: • “Object reference not set to an instance of an object” • “Conversion from type 'DBNull' to type 'String' is not valid” @scutters initially provided a quick workaround, and we've now updated the code to prevent this issue entirely. Background: The problem stemmed from reformatting the JSON output from the Visual Pinball Spreadsheet (VPS) to match DBM standards. This had worked fine for a long time, but a small change in VPS seems to have broken compatibility, affecting the 'Table Versions' form as well. As @scutters and I were still in summer holiday mode , this release includes just a few extra tweaks. On a rainy UK afternoon (when boredom struck), @scutters tackled the tiny font issue on the settings page. In the last release, many text labels appeared too small or were missing entirely. This was due to a font rendering change when we moved from .NET Framework 4.8 to .NET Core 8. Huge thanks to @scutters, fixing all those labels was a real pain in the ***! previous verion: new version: We also improved logging for connections to the GameEx website. Last month, we discovered the app couldn’t reach GameEx, which affected username checks (for FTP uploads) and version updates. We’ve now improved the return codes, and @Tom Speirs kindly made a fix on the website side. Thanks Tom for the quick response! Again, a big thanks for @bushav for reporting this bug !
  9. Not at a pc to check, but did you delete by anything the csv file we shipped with the installation ?
  10. Thanks @scuttersfor this extra feature. 3 versions of updates in 1 1/2 week ! And pretty good ones ! My plan is to update my cab this winter and completly setup VP and other systems from scratch on my new computer. And your new features would be used as well to create my overlay, and tarcisio wheels. Thanks for all your (hard) work on this !
  11. That's exactly the issue I wanted to point you to in the first place. And as scutters said, the buttons are seen as axes and not binary. See https://www.reddit.com/r/xbox/comments/qer8pv/xbox_controller_right_and_left_trigger_merged/ the tool I mentioned before should help you with it.
  12. I don't have an xbox one controller to check, but thought Tom is using Xinput so all buttons should work. Can you check if showjoypad.exe that is in @joyrider3774his PinballX launcher shows any button ? https://github.com/joyrider3774/PinballX_Launcher_app Anything saved in your pinballX.ini ? Sometimes this will help as well : https://github.com/csutorasa/XOutput
  13. I don't have a full XML for you, but the tableID's are listed here : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3024571947 maybe with this list, you can add them and post them to the community
  14. I’d like to request a feature that allows users to limit wheel animation to only the currently selected table. As someone recovering from a stroke, I’ve become more sensitive to visual stimuli. When all five wheels animate simultaneously, it becomes overwhelming and distracting for me. If only the wheel of the active table were animated, it would significantly reduce visual load while still preserving the dynamic feel of the game. I truly hope this can be considered. It would make a big difference for me, and possibly for others with similar sensitivities.
  15. it's better than my DEnglish ! (Dutch-English)😋. Even if I speak Dutch , people won't understand me 🤔
  16. You caught me red-handed! The documentation on the website is, shall we say... a charming relic from September 2022. It even proudly states: Which, let's be honest, sounds like it was written by someone who had one eye on the coffee machine. It really should say: Now, if you're on a quest to find the elusive latest manual, fear not ,it's hiding in plain sight. Here are three ways to track it down: 1. Start Menu : Right next to the DBM application. Like a loyal sidekick. 2. Main Screen of DBM : Click the little question mark icon. It’s not just decorative. 3. File Explorer: Navigate to the folder where you installed DBM. Inside, there’s a folder called Documentation with the latest manual waiting patiently. Hope that clears things up and thanks again for the kind words and for actually reading the manual (even the vintage edition )!
  17. To start, please post your log file after producing the issue and also post your PinballX.ini.
  18. Could you please provide a screenshot, as this is a feature I am unfamiliar with? Upon clicking the "Identify Screens" option, will the screen number be omitted from the display? Furthermore, could you share the updated pinballx.ini and log.txt files, as I am curious to verify the settings modifications requested by Scutters and confirm their accuracy, as implemented by Ted.
  19. No, working for me PinballX.ini
  20. Yes. As we made it easy to delete media in our tool, we only record missing media. Does nobody read a manual ? We spend most time on documentation but nobody is reading it. 😎 I am pleased to hear that everything has worked out well for you. The rotation feature seems to be the key to recording everything, including games, OpenGL, and DirectX, among other things. I would also like to extend my gratitude to our CEO of capturing these elements.@scutters
  21. According to the log file : 29.07.2025 19:40:05 : INFORMATION : MEDIA RECORDER : ACTIONLOG - Nothing found to record for table JP's Deadpool v55_VPX8. Skipping. So looks like you already have Video's for this media. If you want to re-capture them, delete them from the media boxes (right click and select delete) And checking the rest of the log , it looks like the correct screens are matched correctly (Dispaly #2 = playfield and Disaply#1 = backglass) 29.07.2025 19:38:39 : INFORMATION : LogScreenData : PinballX Screen Data 29.07.2025 19:38:39 : INFORMATION : LogScreenData : Playfield : X 0 Y 0 W 1920 H 1080 29.07.2025 19:38:39 : INFORMATION : LogScreenData : Backglass : X 1920 Y 0 W 1280 H 1024 29.07.2025 19:38:39 : INFORMATION : LogScreenData : Attached Screens 29.07.2025 19:38:39 : INFORMATION : LogScreenData : \\.\DISPLAY1 : X 1920 Y 0 W 1280 H 1024 29.07.2025 19:38:39 : INFORMATION : LogScreenData : \\.\DISPLAY2 : X 0 Y 0 W 1920 H 1080 this is the info from PinbalLX, so my assumption is that PinballX and DBM should record is correctly. Let me know if you delete the media and recreate them if DBM will record it correctly (and off course PinballX can be used as well )
  22. You mentioned DBM as well. If you go to Settings -> media recorder. If you scroll down to the bottom there's a TEST button to show the screens. Is that showing fine ? Can you post a log of DBM when recording as well ?
  23. DBM relies on the screens that are defined in PBX. Open settings.exe from your PinballX folder and you can switch the playfield and backglass monitor number.
