Think this is an issue for real dmd users (i'm not one).. See this similar post; Try turning off dmd videos in game scipt and/or pup
-
No problem. Thanks for letting us know that it worked. The fix will be included in the next release, so will leave the test version as an attachment for any other users who may come across the issue before then.

Version is fine. As you're a real dmd user all i can suggest is checking this post https://vpinball.com/forums/topic/harry-potter-the-goblet-of-fire/page/3/#post-162377, maybe the note at the bottom from @BrandonLaw is relevant to your scenario. Why you would only see the issue in PinballX i don't know.

I can't check my HP pinup config now, but can you post a screenshot of your settings for this pack?. Just wondering if you have a 'force back' option set where others have 'force on' or something in pinup. (also confirm your pinup version)
-
I was sure that must have been it, hmm.. Can you try the Media Audit function - does that exit in the same way immediately after starting? Thanks. Edit - Can you also give this test version a go too? (just replace the exe file).

@Sponyx Thanks for the files. Can you launch the app and select VP Table Info straight away and see if you get the same result? if you do then press the same VP Table Info button a second time. Let us know what happens, and attach the log file again if no success. (i suspect you previously closed a child form in the app using the Esc key and then when you pressed VP Table Info we actually picked up on that key press again - in which case we have a small bug to fix, but this test should prove it isn't something else) Thanks

Not seen that issue. What version of PinballX are you on?, there was a fix a while back to set pinballx backglass to the back (after the B2S exe for VP got updated as part of pinup)

I'll investigate my end more later. If no-one else is having the issue then i guess my cache may not have cleared fully. Thanks for that Update; Getting an Avast URL:Blacklist message in Edge. Cleared all caches and retried, same result. Reported as potential false positive to Avast and they have responded "Our virus specialists have been working on this problem and they informed me that this detection is correct.". So i'll steer clear for now. @Mike_da_Spike, not logged in on vpinball to let randr know - but im sure he'll be aware.
-
Might still be an issue. Cleared site cache in chrome but Avast still spits out a warning and blocks it on login attempt;

You'll probably need to attach your pinballx.ini and log.txt files (after an attempt to launch that table) But to answer the question i do have that table and it works ok for me. I'd double check your vpx file name matches the entry in game manager / database xml. Edit - and as a shameless plug, you might want to try pinballx database manager instead of game manager https://www.gameex.info/forums/files/file/2499-pinballx-database-manager/

Or maybe not! I'm old school, you can't beat a manual
-
New monitor fitted, runs landscape (not landscape flipped) - playfield recording is now flipped correctly after capture.
-
No problem, not much to see really though except it's not rotated 180deg. Here you go; The Simpsons Pinball Party (Stern 2003).zip
-
Apologies Tom. I am an idiot!. The playfield screen is currently landscape flipped in windows (so standing in front of cab taskbar runs down left hand side of the screen, but the actual screen bottom is on the right). I think i did it like that because standing on the left of the cab is easier, but for connectivity it made sense to mount the playfield screen the other way round. Sorry about the misinformation. Not sure how many permutations of possible cab setups you can cater for in pinballx. I will see if i can correct my ways with the new screen, if i can then hopefully it'll resolve the playfield recording. Awesome! Thanks Tom

Ok, thanks for looking. Guess it's another gremlin in my system somewhere Anything you can do about the backglass recording fullscreen rather than using offsets/width? (think this may have come up before on the forum somewhere)
-
Thanks Tom, Tried the new version (with 5sec videos); With no hide backglass set, same result,. No BG video, PF not rotated. LogNoHideBG.txt With BG set to hide, the backglass is recorded (but is fullscreen so doesn't take into account pinballx width/offset values). PF is still not rotated. logHideBG.txt
-
Backglass is just standard landscape set up, no rotation (unless you mean picking that up instead of playfield monitor settings for video creation - which i guess would make sense) Tried 20sec video creation. Same result so can rule that out.
-
Strange.. well, i am hopefully upgrading the playfield monitor in the next couple of days (if i can get it to fit!) - that might fix it / reset the windows config. Do you want me to try and pull anything out of the registry before that? Edit - this might be a factor, currently windows has playfield as screen 2, backglass screen 1,DMD screen 3. PinballX has playfield screen 0, backglass screen 1, dmd screen 2. So maybe it's the playfield <-> backglass numbering reversal that's throwing it all out. Think that happened when i changed GPU.
-
Cheers guys.. I'll try with a 20sec record option to see if that changes anything. Playfield is landscape, rotated 270deg (same as pinballx config).
-
I'll admit it's taking me a while to break old habits and move away from PBX Recorder to use the inbuilt PBX version. Anyway finally got round to using it on the cab, the playfield video shows upside down in the front end (i.e. not rotated 180 deg), but that might be because a step is missed as no backglass video is created either. I'm guessing it might have something to do with with my now non standard backglass setup (not using the full screen, so width and x offset adjusted to use the right hand two thirds of the backglass screen https://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/25049-guide-playfield-mirrored-to-backglass/?do=findComment&comment=197414) Usual log and ini attached. PinballX.ini log.txt (as a side note you can see i've manually edited the ini to record only 5sec videos which isn't available in Settings directly, maybe some shorter time options would be useful to have in there, i don't think many people will use the option to record 4min videos!)

From what you've said it sounds like you're seeing your new lists twice?. Did you create custom lists (the ini files) and also custom lists of the same name (with .xml extension in the same database folder)?. Screen shots of PinballX lists and the database folder contents will help. The ' tables' text is probably being appended by PinballX, Settings.exe -> Text -> Tables Edit - copied original response from the other post that didn't have log attached. That shows only filter lists loaded, not custom db's too.

Please attach your pinballx\config\pinballx.ini file. It sound like in settings.exe under display settings you have 'Use Direct B2S in Front End' set to Yes for the VPX backglass images. For the list you want to select the All Tables menu option.

These might fill a few holes with pngs until the swf issue is resolved https://mega.nz/folder/p3hREDgB#pEWMJvVQ7t3Sv_TmrxdU-w/folder/ozxWFLrT (no idea whose mega share that is) Edit - also a couple of alternative links on here https://montetoncab.fr/les-medias-pincab/ (and don't forget in database manager you can add mega links for media and then download it and import it directly for tables!)
