  1. LAV codecs will allow you to play videos of the backglass files in PinballX rather than using the actual B2S backglass file. .. but it sounds like you want to use (or at least try using) the actual B2S file in PinballX. When PinballX is running (and you have a table selected that you have a B2S file for) can you check if B2S is started as a process in taskmanager
  2. FWIW... Kiss 2015 works for me with PinballX 6.58 and VPX 10.7.4 with FlexDMD, coins can be accepted, game starts, and exits ok back to PinballX. Something else is happening on your setup @TT11, so the log and ini files would be needed to investigate. log.txt
  3. Main download updated. Includes all the above images and Dark Chaos
  4. I reported it on Submit a file for malware analysis - Microsoft Security Intelligence. Not sure it'll work but nothing else i can do. Thanks for retesting guys!.. No more changes planned (really this time ) so i'll post the app update shortly. Edit - And done. V1.5 posted.
  5. Not sure what i can do about that especially when it's ok for @Mike_da_Spike But here it is again after a recompile and rezip
  6. Thanks for testing guys! But apologies.. with the barrel / cylinder being used more i thought i'd better make it as good as i could after finding a couple of quirks, so i tweaked a couple of things. Static pngs to show the difference. The 3D edge being applied was still slightly spherical Before Now (you have to look closely but the 3D edge turned slightly in towards the middle of the image) Some over distortion could still occur squashing the top and bottom of the image, and stretching the middle Using a new test image to show the difference Test image Before Now Some cylindrical distortion will still be present, but it is now reduced. Depending on the source images and settings used theses changes might not be significant, and will be more evident on some images than on others. Here's a test version with these changes (just the exe to replace). Let me know what you think @Draco1962. I can undo the changes if you prefer the previous effect. Note - these changes only affect images produced using the Cylinder option, so won't affect the underlay images you make @Mike_da_Spike
  7. It should have been there in the last version (just well disguised!). Bottom right of the window; I was wrong when i said there were no more changes planned. No more functional changes but i did need to update libraries, .net version etc. So here's a version with everything updated, V1.5.0 If everything's ok with this i'll post it as a proper update later in the week. So please give it a whirl when you get chance @Draco1962
  8. Do you have PinballX set to start with windows?.. if so check the properties of the PinballX shortcut file in C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup - is it pointing to the install on C:\ rather than the old D:\ install?
  9. Did you try any of the solutions in the original thread (https://forums.gameex.com/forums/topic/31149-resolved-some-back-glasses-for-visual-pinball-are-not-loading-when-run-from-pinball-x/), different backglass B2S files, script chnages or the B2SWindowPunch utility? If it's a new install did you also install the LAV codecs? - https://forums.gameex.com/forums/files/file/2451-lav-video-codecs/ Older versions of PinballX are available on the main download page by using the 'see changelog' option But please attach your pinballx.ini and log.txt files as requested first in case there is something else happening (i suspect an older version of PinballX will not resolve either of your issues anyway)
  10. It sounds like a focus issue, the normal fix for VPX would be to use exclusive fullscreen in the video options there - but i'm not sure if VP9.95 even had that option. You are running an old version of PinballX though (PinballX - Version 4.13 x64) so there is a chance that the latest version also resolves the issue. What it does definitely have though is an option in settings not to hide the mouse cursor and that might ease the pain a little. So please update PinballX and retest.
  11. Thanks, nice that you tested that the original overlay in a larger picture functionality is still working
  12. Not sure how i broke that!. Is there any chance the console image you're overlaying onto is 2000*2000 or something?. If not can you zip up & post the source images you're using and i'll have a proper look.
  13. Another test version; Doesn't add any new functionality, but i've attempted to smooth out some of the noise you could get as images passed the East & West horizons which becomes more obvious when using the 3D Depth option. Not sure if it's really visible here but this is before (watch as the first T passes the NW horizon) and now Click on the images to preview. Hopefully that's the last planned change! Edit - oops, i forgot, there was one functional change - you can now select cylinder output in the gui (option at bottom right of the form)
  14. Yep, or, depending on your artistic license remove the red circle from the logo? (in that case anyway)
  15. Is that 'cyclindrical distortion'? (https://i.redd.it/mu7gtyz5835e1.jpeg) not sure i can do anything about that. The distortion is just more obvious with a circle drawn on a cylinder. From that link;
  16. That is one option, how worthwhile it'd be depends how often you'd be changing between spheres and cylinders (i wasn't expecting it'd be that often!). But it would work, just have one spinball directory and one spinbarrel (? ) directory. And sorry, there's no plans at all for a full set of spinning D&D style dice options! It might be, but then i may as well just add the option to the gui instead (but i'm viewing the cylinder option as extended rather than core functionality for now - maybe i'll review if the cylinder option proves popular!)
  17. No!. But i had another look and made some progress (i just had to remove a couple of sin multipliers ) New test version; Using my usual test images; New Options Draw Cylinder As this breaks some of the existing functionality (the resulting image isn't round - so the overlays won't work etc) i've made it an advanced option and it can only be enabled by editing the ini file rather than with a GUI option. To enable it in the Output section of the ini file (Config_ImageToSpinBall.ini) add DrawCylinder=True [Output] DrawCylinder=True Make sure any edits to the ini file are made when the app isn't running. Then with these settings; Will produce; (note that i also wouldn't recommend changing the rotation axis to anything other than 0,90,270,360 when using the cylinder output as the image can get trimmed) 3D Depth Adds depth to the spinning image (needs transparent areas in the source image so will not work if underlay colour is selected). Can be seen in cylinder apng above but with these settings (and the cylinder option in the ini set to False or removed); Will give;
  18. Pretty tricky! All the pixels are drawn individually based on some clever maths to sphereise the image. It would need an entirely new algorithm for a cylinder.
  19. Cool! I might see if i can come up with an optional 3D depth effect on the spinning logo - but i have no idea at the moment how i'd do that!
  20. Thanks. The clue's in the log file; unable to open image 'D:\Spinball\Resources\TarcisioOverNoGlass.png': No such file or directory did you delete that file at some stage? Anyway, here's a copy, just extract and drop it in the resources folder. TarcisioOverNoGlass.zip
  21. Yes, it's probably a combination of the light overlay and the image compression. Try with image compression turned off. That i can't reproduce. Can you post your settings and the Log_ImageToSpinBall.txt file.
  22. No problem, my day or two wasn't really meant literally. I know you have other stuff on as well (as the cold!). Take your time, no rush.
  23. Agree, darker solid is better than semi trans. For a multicoloured logo darker shades of the colours. Here's a test version (exe only, just copy over the top of your existing exe); There's two new options. 'Draw Full Spin' and 'Darken Factor (%)'. Use these to control if the 'rear' of the spinning is shown and what colour level is used (anywhere from black to no darkening). Here's my test settings; And my test images; Changing the 'Darken Factor' 100% 75% 50% 25% Think the animations will preview ok if you click on them (they're actual apng's, not converted to gifs) Hope that gives an idea of how it can work. Let me know if you get any issues, otherwise i'll post an official update in a day or two.
  24. Just a note for anyone having issues with Pbx Recorder and/or the native PinballX media recording functions; PinballX Database Manager has it's own recording options built on windows media foundation rather than ffmpeg and you may want to try it as an alternative - see https://forums.gameex.com/forums/topic/23840-app-pinballx-database-manager-2503170-supports-touch-play-as-well/page/15/#findComment-223806
  25. Actually, i can do it without too much overhead on the processing What colour would you expect/want the reverse side of the spinning graphic to be.. black, semi transparent or a darker version of whatever the RGB values are? Examples to consider with a red Test logo spinning around a green square. Note that there is a difference with transparency, it just doesn't show well on the forum background.
