  1. If you go with a wall mount, all you would need to do then is the base - set it up with a quad stick arrangement - schweet!
  2. I briefly played around with it by editing it to a V3 theme. I did notice a little bit of a delay at first but subsequent loads seem to be quicker (cached maybe?). Since I do most of my item placement editing with Theme Editor, I will stick with V4 as I like the recent color key changes Tom made with it.
  3. Very cool theme, vsilvalopes!
  4. I'd buy it if I had an iPhone, however, if it becomes available as an Android app, while I don't have an Android phone either, I know quite a few that do and will be glad to spread the word!
  5. KustomKId - Have you tried changing the version # in the gameex.ini? I am not sure what negative results would come of it (other than the theme editor only recognizes Version 2 or 4 themes to open directly, otherwise you have to convert an existing 1 or 3 theme to a 2 or 4 to open that way.
  6. I thought that Zinc did Namco Sytsem 11 & 12?
  7. How does it run outside of GameEx? 128MB graphics adapter and 512MB RAM may be a little on the slight side. Will have to take a closer look at the log and ini files when I get home but from what I can see for now, doesn't seem that unusual.
  8. Currently the ratings are only enabled for version1 and 3 themes. Would be nice to be able to have it available for V4 themes *hint - hint* with an option to turn on or suppress them in all themes (same as enable/disable for scroller). Thanks Tom for the update, as always!
  9. Nice start, Brit! I will be glad once I can start my cab project (well, I guess I have already "started" learning what I can about GameEx and the various emus so when it comes time to set up it won't take as long to get the basics squared away so I can focus in on the details).
  10. Can you give a little more info? If running on a Celeron, I assume you are running XP. Is the video card integrated in the motherboard or separate and, if so, how much video RAM? Posting your gameex.ini file and log file (after running game) might be helpful as well.
  11. Awesome job, guys!
  12. Snap naming conventions should follow the same as the ROMs in order to be found. Make sure that the paths are setup for each in GameEx. Should be minimal issue.
  13. I use a Logitech Dual Action keypad and have no problems using their software with GameEx and MAME or any of the emus I have tinkered with to date (and it is free).
  14. That's OK, thanks for letting us know what was the cause and that you were able to determine the cause! - we will mark this as [RESOLVED]
  15. Does that mean this is [RESOLVED] due to PICNIC (Problem In Chair Not In Computer)?
  16. No buttons? Dude. Get those buttons!

  17. I think you will like Win 7 better - I know that I do, although if I build the cab that I have been threatening to do, I will probably go with XP due to the PC that I will be using. It will be dedicated to arcade and pinball only so that will be fine. I will save the console and handheld emulation (along with arcade and pinball) for the HTPC.
  18. Eventually I will ask the same question again - you know this, right?
  19. Since I don't use a CP (yet!) not sure if I can help you with remapping, but I am sure there has to be some way to map a control to act as a "page up - page down."
  20. There are some basic tutorials on the link Dan provided along with FAQs (always a good place to start when looking at new software ). As you tinker, there are some links you may wish to explore on my sig thanks to a few of our gurus that will get ya going in no time. You can use the Advanced Configuration (part of your GameEx install) to point to your various folders for snaps, marquees, ROMs, etc. Play around and get stuck, let us know what is going on and be prepared for one of the best supported front-ends and application forums you will ever encounter!
  21. Please post a copy of your log file (under \gameex\log ) and copy your gameex.ini file into a notepad and save as a text file and attach it in reply to this message. Since this is the first we have heard of this we need these files to diagnose your issue. If you need further assistance, click on the Tempest link in my sig. Thanks!
  22. How's that cab coming along - pics and video please!

    Logos

I understand as I have in my logo pack many that I will probably never use but others may. One thing to consider is if you are creating a custom .psd (for Phot Shop) or .xcf (for GIMP) file if you have a unique button style that accompanies your logos. That way, the users can create more as they need them.
  24. I thought I would share this with everyone. It is an online utility called the Atari 2600 Label Maker. I created a new avatar that resembles the Atari 2600 cartridge labels. This could also be used for an Atari 2600-based theme where the logo and misc files are created to look like the Atari 2600 Carts! I promised my wife I would take a break from creating new themes, but I am a creative sod and this is so damned tempting... Ninja Theme Making Mode: ON
  25. Glad to be of help - I do that sometimes!
