  1. ALMOST there! Had some issues with Secure Boot and the Bazzite-Deck installer not completing the install. It was copying the Live version to the M.2 rather than completing the task and converting to a normal root environment. But, that part is done (Thanks, Gemini AI!) and now working on getting a controller to work wirelessly. The Atari controllers are great so long as they are connected via wire. I want wireless and they are flaky AF in AtariOS, much more so in Bazzite, so Xbox controller it will be!
  2. Much closer to the water table. Most would be inside swimming pools!
  3. Thanks for the update. Since this has been identified as a PBXRecorder issue, the author of PBXRecorder has not been active here since 2021 (no compatibility updates likely), it is not a PinballX issue, workaround (use previous Nvidia driver) and alternative solution (Database Manager) have been provided, I will close this thread. Should you decide to pursue using Database Manager and require assistance, please open a new thread with attached support files regarding.
  4. Few basements to be found in Florida! My office space is a major wreck and in dire need of attention before I am evicted from the dining room! LOL!
  5. So all sorted and resolved?
  6. Not sure that troubleshooting PBXRecorder output is going to happen - sorry. I am sure that there is plenty of help with any issues you may run into using Database Manager.
  7. Didn't Styx once sing "Nothing ever goes as planned..."? I am experiencing a little delay as I had hopes of at least getting Bazzite installed before the repasting session later today or tomorrow following the arrival of the PTM-7950 and Upsiren paste. Apparently my WD Blue M.2 SATA SSD is dead, so having to replace it. When I first bought it through Amazon, it was $99.00. Now it is $199.00! Since I do not want to spend quite that much, I opted for TEAMGROUP MS30 1TB M.2 SATA SSD for about $147.00. It will also arrive sometime today. My first clue that something was amiss was that the Bazzite installer did not notice the M.2 as available. I looked in BIOS and nothing there. Some searching on the innerwebs noted that both the BIOS and Bazzite install process may not see the drive if it has allocated space. I then loaded Windows 11 from my WD external drive and it did not show via the Disk Creation and Formatting app or DISKPART! Oy Vay!
  8. atarivcs_bazzite_compatibility_report-20260607.csv The attached CSV file is one I tasked Gemini AI to produce to narrow down my collection of games for use with this VCS/Bazzite build. Since this is going to be primarily a "Steam Machine", I can easily sort for best estimated FPS, Proton compatibility, and exclude any that do not provide gamepad support or are less than 35 FPS if I choose.
  9. UPDATE - I have decided to dedicate the M.2 drive for the latest Bazzite Deck version. But as I want to get this build FINALLY over the finish line and functional in the living room with minimal maintenance, I will be removing the janky thermal pad from the APU and replacing it with a PTM-7950. I will also replace the pads on the VRMs with Upsiren thermal paste. Stay tuned...
  10. I am looking at adding a budget AM4 DDR54-based CPU/motherboard combo so I will have a rig for testing newer GPUs, RAM, etc.
  11. I don't know if you mean to or not, but the tone of your responses comes across as if you don't feel that Tom (and the rest of the team) is doing enough to try to fix this issue to meet your expectations. I hope that I am wrong and misreading the intent of your posts. Scutters is correct. PBXRecorder was created by gtxjoe as a community tool, not Tom, and is not a core PinballX feature. Its last published version (1.6) dates back to 2017, and there has been no active development or compatibility updates for modern VPX, B2S, or Windows changes. PBXRecorder is not part of PinballX development and receives no fixes or compatibility patches. Scutters provided an alternative solution and it may be worth your while to give it a try.
  12. Yup! It's a Linux distro, based upon Debian if I am not mistaken. But wait! There's more! Introducing, The Commodore 64 Ultimate!
  13. Commodore OS Vision 3.1 - have you seen it?
  14. Added some ABS fan guards to protect my shakey fingers from the whirring blades of digit evisceration!
  15. If only I had the room... and the money!
  16. Thanks! When not in use, I will probably source a dust cover from the kitchen appliance section for when it is not in use.

This will allow me to quickly test GPUs, fans, SSDs, etc. The 2.5"‑to‑3.5" SATA Drive Bay Adapter allows for quick swap of 2.5" SSDs and HDDs - no screws required! The Radiator Mount Bracket allows for attaching the case fans which are connected to SATA power. While these will run with no fan controls from the motherboard, this arrangement takes a fan header cable out of the mix, simplifying cable management. Fan speeds at max will help with GPU cooling during stress tests. The Thermaltake 12V RGB + Fan Hub is connected to the Test Bench reset button to cycle RGB color and RGB on/off. In addition to minimizing cable management, the Corsair RM850 850W Modular ATX PSU will allow me to add/remove PCIe power cables as needed, depending on the GPU's requirements, while providing more than enough power overhead.
  18. Thanks, @tabascoman77for yet another guide! Moving to the "FAQs, Guides, & Other Useful Information" for posterity!
  19. I don't dare entertain the idea of trying one again. It would be like I never stopped and I wouldn't.
  20. Sourced and uploaded to FTP 72 more. That will be it for me for a while!
  21. So is this fixed? What was the final, working command line? Also, the XML should probably be named ScummVM.XML to avoid confusion with the game names - I know. The name doesn't really matter, but in naming for all other systems, the system name has been the emulator name. And my CDO says so.
  22. With the correct parameters in the Emulator (Other System) slot and configuration of your setup it shouldn't be needed. PinballX will read your ScummVM.xml file and pass it along. Have you loaded any games into Game Manager to create the XML file?
  23. Glad you got it sorted and all working well! Thanks for reporting back!
  24. A carton of Marlboros costs around $100 USD. When I quit, they were about $30! Taxes are outrageous for tobacco products. But the tax on your health is even more so. To paraphrase the idiom, "An ounce of prevention is worth pounds of cure" to one's health & life expectancy.
  25. Will need the pinballx.ini as well for your command-line entries.
