  1. Please attach copies of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files when requesting assistance for an issue. Also, be aware of where your are posting threads for assistance to ensure proper visibility and assistance.
  2. How? This helps others with the same issue. Thanks!
  3. Check your log.txt file on that PC for the Arcade Edition version. It may be a deprecated setting of it ever was an option.
  4. I do not recall that ever being an option in Arcade Edition. Are you maybe thinking of the options under Display > Interface Mode, of whic there are Normal, GameLauncher, and GameLauncher - MAME available?
  5. I merged your thread with the existing Theme Editor Questions thread. Unfortunately there is not a comprehensive guide on how to use it and much of my experience has been trial & error to the point of bypassing using it altogether and creating my themes by replacing existing images and/or video backgrounds as needed. If you can provide more information as to which themes you are referencing I or someone else might be able to assist you in an answer.
  6. In order to adequately support your implementation of PinballX you need to upgrade to the latest as many bug fixes and enhancements have been put in place. Please consider upgrading before you continue.
  7. If you don't mind then, please reverse your workaround changes, launch GameEx, and attach updated copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files for review. This may be a Tom thing to help resolve but having these will be a good place to start. Thanks!
  8. Do you want to try to address the primary issue (integrated MAME support favorites and repeated update list) vs. the issue impacting your MAME workaround?
  9. Please attach copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files when reporting an issue. Thank you.
  10. You're welcome! Glad that worked out for you!
  11. Have you had any luck finding a solution? From my research and based upon the error you are reporting, if you are attempting to launch the games via WinKawaks and MAME and not able to via GameEx, then it is probable that there is an issue with the BIOS and/or ROM set you are using. You noted that there is no problem running the games outside of GameEx however which is puzzling.
  12. Thanks for finding that elusive reference! This is done via modification of the gameex.ini file: - Open your gameex.ini file in a text editor (Suggestion: Notepad++ works best, especially for editing xml and html formatted files. And it's FREE!) - Find the [General] section -add a line ShowGenres=False - Save the file then launch Let us know how that works for you.
  13. Can you link to the forum post where you saw this? Can you link to the post where this was said to have been implemented? Thanks!
  14. Have you asked Terry Red here? https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=51600
  15. Agreed, not a valid link. Use http://www.gameex.info/forums/files/file/527-pinballx/ to access/download the latest PinballX installer.
  16. Before I tinker again just want to be clear: - OK to change integrated MAME settings ONLY via Setup Wizard - Do NOT change anything else (i.e., Themes, add emulators, etc.) At present and from what I observed in the package, GameEx and AE are sharing the gameex.ini file - is that a correct assumption?
  17. Instructions on how to open LAV Filters here. Locate the Video Settings and match the Output formats as Tom noted on the other post. Hopefully that will work for you.
  18. Can you attach copies of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files please? Thanks!
  19. I did exactly what I understood you to say and went through the Setup Wizard and do not see anything out of sorts for my setup. I ran the GameEx Arcade Edition.exe and the following occurred: Apparently, I am missing something but no clue what if following your instructions to launch one of the three executibles. GameEx.ini log.txt Player.log
  20. Glad to be of help and thanks for reporting back!
  21. Hi Tom - can you provide some brief instructions on how to configure and launch the GameEx Multiplatform Unity Alpha? Thanks!
  22. Will take a look at it as soon as I can. Thanks! P.S. Do you see this as a replacement for existing .NET Framework based GameEx and Arcade Edition?
  23. I thought it did. Confused cabinet support I guess. 🤪
  24. Since integrated Pinball M is not supported at present - please submit an entry here to request the feature:
  25. Just getting around to reviewing your files (thanks for attaching them BTW). I am not seeing any errors being reported. Is this a new install? I ask as you indicated that it worked in the past but isn't now.
