  1. Thanks for finding that elusive reference! This is done via modification of the gameex.ini file: - Open your gameex.ini file in a text editor (Suggestion: Notepad++ works best, especially for editing xml and html formatted files. And it's FREE!) - Find the [General] section -add a line ShowGenres=False - Save the file then launch Let us know how that works for you.
  2. Can you link to the forum post where you saw this? Can you link to the post where this was said to have been implemented? Thanks!
  3. Have you asked Terry Red here? https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=51600
  4. Agreed, not a valid link. Use http://www.gameex.info/forums/files/file/527-pinballx/ to access/download the latest PinballX installer.
  5. Before I tinker again just want to be clear: - OK to change integrated MAME settings ONLY via Setup Wizard - Do NOT change anything else (i.e., Themes, add emulators, etc.) At present and from what I observed in the package, GameEx and AE are sharing the gameex.ini file - is that a correct assumption?
  6. Instructions on how to open LAV Filters here. Locate the Video Settings and match the Output formats as Tom noted on the other post. Hopefully that will work for you.
  7. Can you attach copies of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files please? Thanks!
  8. I did exactly what I understood you to say and went through the Setup Wizard and do not see anything out of sorts for my setup. I ran the GameEx Arcade Edition.exe and the following occurred: Apparently, I am missing something but no clue what if following your instructions to launch one of the three executibles. GameEx.ini log.txt Player.log
  9. Glad to be of help and thanks for reporting back!
  10. Hi Tom - can you provide some brief instructions on how to configure and launch the GameEx Multiplatform Unity Alpha? Thanks!
  11. Will take a look at it as soon as I can. Thanks! P.S. Do you see this as a replacement for existing .NET Framework based GameEx and Arcade Edition?
  12. I thought it did. Confused cabinet support I guess. 🤪
  13. Since integrated Pinball M is not supported at present - please submit an entry here to request the feature:
  14. Just getting around to reviewing your files (thanks for attaching them BTW). I am not seeing any errors being reported. Is this a new install? I ask as you indicated that it worked in the past but isn't now.
  15. When reporting an issue and to ensure a prompt response, please be aware of the subform you are starting a new thread (you launched this in the PinballX > General subforum), Also, please attach copies (no copy & paste of text please) of your latest gameex.ini and log.txt files for review. Thanks!
  16. Very possible that you've created additional conflict by not a.) Installing a newer instance "over the top" of the existing or b.) not performing a backup of your gameex.ini file and performing a proper uninstall of GameEx, restart Windows then reinstall, followed by copying your gameex.ini over the one created during the fresh installation. My suggestion would be to follow the actions for item b.). which will hopefully straighten out in registry or other conflicts and result in only one installation of GameEx.
  17. GAMES: Asteroids: Recharged, Berzerk: Recharged, Centipede: Recharged SYSTEM: ROG Ally Extreme w/ 4TB M.2 2280 mod (Windows 11 Home) These are but three of the Atari: Recharged series that have been released over the last few years. Great sound, game play is great, although I will say that the graphics start to all seem the same from one game to the next due to the vector treatment for all games in the series, even titles that were not originally vector graphics. No problems or need to configure the built-in controls.
  18. Love the fresh takes on the playfield and backglass vids and table audio - many throwbacks to my lifetime playlists!
  19. Clever use for the Topper - I can see where having it allow for transparency would open up more options such as this. BTW - Nice rig! Would love to see a write-up or build diary here if you have the time or inclination: https://forums.gameex.com/forums/forum/41-gamer-rigs/
  20. I get that there is a workaround but if there is an error prompt it is prudent to try to replicate the error and the variables as best as possible to replicate it so that the app author can review and fix it if possible. Of course, in retrospect it probably doesn't matter since the app author hasn't been in the forum for a few years,, so carry on! Nothing to see here...
  21. Can you provide the exact prompt you are receiving about a codec? Might shed some light towards a solution.
  22. Do you get the same "Skipping" error prompt when you attempt to launch the game directly via Stella?
  23. GAME: Symphony SYSTEM: ROG Ally Extreme w/ 4TB M.2 2280 mod (Windows 11 Pro) "A mysterious entity is absorbing and corrupting your music before your very eyes. You must battle through your own song collection and fight to reclaim your music!" A vertical "shmup" with increasing levels of complexity, ship upgrades, etc. as you fight for your music as the "Entity" attempts to enslave it to create his "Symphony of Souls!" I've had this one for quite a while and it plays very well with my own MP3s on the line! Another "out of the box" game that leverages the Xbox gamepad schema very well.
  24. Derp! You noted that in your original post. Being that I do not have your setup with the Arcade VGA GPU, monitor, or OS, I cannot replicate the issue. Since we are well past 15.10, it is possible that library updates and enchancements to GameEx may not cleanly support your kit. Tom would have the defnitive answer to that.
