[RESOLVED] Capturing Fx3 Playfield are rotated and streched
joyrider3774 replied to Mike_da_Spike's topic in General
i was not talking about rotate display in pinballx settings but cabinet options (if you have it unlocked) in pinball fx3 itselve (so ingame) i had to rotate the game there ingame but not sure it makes a difference in your case / problem the signature is a feature of gameex / pinballx online (https://online.gameex.com) i logged in using my account there and i let my pinballx go online when it's running so it uploads my collection to there (https://online.gameex.com/user.aspx?id=51842) and shows my last played game. Then once your logged in click on the game card like here and you can use it for a signature on forums. it has other options like controlling pinballx remotely or view the screen on the website (once pinballx is running). -
[RESOLVED] Capturing Fx3 Playfield are rotated and streched

i'm not sure if this helps but i use 2 instances of obs studio where i record 2 screens with (one per instance) and change settings and output path using same start / stop recording hotkey. Yesterday when i was recording my video's for pinball fx3 using it my video was also rotated and not showing full table. It was not exactly as in your screenshot but a bit different. Initially i was recording while i had rotated my screen using irotate to portrait mode before the game started so 1080x1920 but this was giving problems. If i did not put my screen in portrait mode but left it in landscape and used the cabinet mode ingame to rotate the screen the problem went away with me. But as said not sure if it's a similar problem or if it could help with your problem. The thing to note is even if the pinball fx3 rotated the screen the video ingame was still 1920x1080 while if i had rotated externally in windows it was 1080x1920. You could try playing with rotation of the screen either ingame or in windows before recording and see if it makes a difference (as it did with me in a negative way initially when recording with obs studio). It could also have been a problem from obs studio -

guys i have created and uploaded the table, dmd and backglass video's i use. all files are record at the same time so dmd matches playfield etc (can't remember for existing files) i also uploaded 2 versions of each table one with the alternate enhanced views and one without them. so if you want to switch to those versions rename the files and remove alternate from filename in dmd backglass and table video so they still belong together. Table video's are 1920x1080 DMD videos are 568x170 Backglass videos are 1024x768 do note the backglass videos contain a picture of the backglass with the dmd video inside it it are the same pictures is use for my steam game but i did not create all of them only a few and i reused backglass images. I use these on my 2 monitor cabinet, they are not good for a 3 monitor cabinet but as it includes the dmd but you can still use the seperate dmd and table video's. -

Glad you got it working. I remember one of the simulated machines as well from the time my mother was helping in a local pub. Btw i downloaded some extra tables and not all of them are useable in a cabinet because some tables don't run fullscreen and can not have a rotated playfield. Seems they are some older versions of tables i think. Btw you can press s on a keyboard when playing a table and pinballx will take screenshot of both backglass and playfield. -

Here's the full database but not sure if all 62 tables will work: BingoGameRoom.xml Here's a quick video of it in action on my cabinet -

EDIT: this is outdated bingo game room added support for pinballx please read https://www.joopriem.nl/apps/help/BingoGameroom/help2.php?gotoAndOpen=6 how to set it up --------------------------------------------- @ttrenkner i got it working on my setup. Here's a database example for pinballx it only contains 6 or 7 tables as i could not download more at once (it has a limit of 6 - 7 tables per day). BingoGameRoom.xml Here's the launch script. I included the executable as well as the autohotkey script. LaunchBingoGameRoom.zip The script assumes default install location for the program and tables being "C:\Program Files (x86)\MyBingoPrograms" if this is not your install location you need to edit the following line in the autohotkey script and then recompile the script (by installing autohotkey, right clicking on the file and choosing compile) MainDir := "C:\Program Files (x86)\MyBingoPrograms" The script also assumes your key configured to quit tables is ESC in pinballx if this is not your quit key you need to replace the line: esc:: with the key you are using leaving the two double points intact, you can look up your keys here https://autohotkey.com/docs/KeyList.htm I do have a problem but it's due to bingo game room itselve for some reason it does not automatically positon the backglass correcrly on my 2nd (backglass) screen i always have to activate the backglass goto preferences -> screens setup and choose save & exit to make it work. Have not figured out whats causing this with me. The other window ends up on my playfield well behind it. But this is not related to the launcher. The launcher basically runs [Table].exe in [TABLE] subdir in C:\Program Files (x86)\MyBingoPrograms and assumes all games use this same system (an exe per game using same name as the games subdir). Since i have not been able to get all the tables i can not say if this is the case all the time. It's a very simple script. The script also sends a return key after 2 seconds of launching the table exe to get rid of the nag screen it shows the 1st time you run a game. It is advice to run each table once to get rid of these nagscreens and perhaps you can remove the sending of the return key then. Unfortunatly i don't have enough keys on my cabinet to run this but i'm able to use basic functionality by remapping my keys for left flipper right flipper left and right magnasave to the left /right / up / down key's so the game accepts this as input for nudiging. as it does not allow shift or control keys so you have to remap them. I added my remapping script as an example here BingoGameRoomRemap.ahk this is how you set it up in other systems. if you want to use the keyboard remapping you have to add it in the launch before script which i did not do here only shows settings for the launcher. You also need to change the working path to your setup where (launchbingogameroom.exe launcher is) Hope it helps or at least can get you going. -

@ttrenkner if all games have their own executable and directory i think i can create a script to make it work with pinballx without the author having to change anything. am trying it now -

I looked some more at it it seems each table is situated in a seperate folder and is being launched using its own executable. so every table is a seperate program and you don't need gameroom.exe to launch the tables. It worked for me at least on my main pc. So there is a way to to make this work using a batch file or simple autohotkeyscript that would just launch the correct executable. basically the executables filename without extention would be the parameter and you just need to start filename.exe in subdirectory filename. I think you only need the gameroom binary then to setup your keys etc i'll have a play with it on my cabinet (even though i don't have enough keys). And will post the little script or batch file here -

basically what you need to ask the author if it does not exist yet. Is a way to launch a certain table / game using a command line parameter. looking at it i don't see such options and they all talk about usb serial connection to some micro controller to control it. Basically what you need is something like this "BingoGameroom.exe -Table BallyPalmSprings" So he needs to add Table parameter to launch the tables directly. I could not find this info on his site if it is supported or not so you might need to contact him about it. Using the tilt sensor i'm also not sure there are keyboard shortcuts for nudge left / right / top / bottom but can't say i see any joystick support and tilt sensors usually come up as a joystick device. IT might be able to work with joy2key but not sure how workable that is. I don't have enough buttons on my cabinet to be able to use this and nudge on my cabinet is something i have not been able to get working correctly (pincontrol v1) so not sure i can use it all -
@hawkeyez88 i just had it happen also having to press two times the quit button on my cabinet. Not sure whats going on. i'll see if i can simulate again and perhaps try to fix it but not sure i can could be something with the game or a script. Am looking into it (given i can keep repeating the problem). Edit: nope i was to fast to mention it. I also see the black screen but i just wait there. the launch after scripts are being run with me then and if i wait it will rotate screen back while its doing that the screen is black with me also. i don't have to press the quit button 2 times but do have to wait. Maybe some command is not executing ok with you but not sure wich

use imgur.com to upload pictures and then when it's uploaded get the url to picture itselve (you need to try sometimes two times to get real url) thats what i do usually.

not sure what you mean with double size dmd, you mean its too big & being cut off ? I don't have a pindmd i actually mirror the dmd on my backglass monitor so not sure about that. Also not sure why you have to press esc twice to get completely back to pinballx i only press my quit button once on my cabinet (mapped to esc) and it quits directly. Although i did not play it lately to see if something has changed. I do run my pinballx with administrator rights but i'm not sure that could have an influence with quiting things

actually there is a way for per table launch script. You just pass the tablename to a batch file as parameter and inside the batch file you verify for a certain value that is being passed as that parameter if so do something specific and in all other cases you do the usual things. i just tried it with this simple batch file example named batchtest.bat if "%~1"=="Apache! (Taito 1978).vpx" ( mspaint.exe ) else ( if "%~1"=="JP's Ghostbusters Slimer v1.2.1.vpx" ( notepad.exe ) else ( rem for all other tables write.exe ) ) rem line below is always being run echo "blah" if i run the apache table mspaint.exe is ran, if i run ghostbusters table notepad.exe is ran for all other tables write.exe is started and echo blah is always run So what you need to do is make sure pinsound can have multiple installation for your different versions, is replace mspaint.exe notepad.exe and the tablename strings for the specific tables with the pinsound command line and parameters of the version you want to run. On the place where echo "blah" is you set common programs that should be launched for all tables (so all things not pinsound) if you need to add more tables just add if / else clause before the last else statement and don't forget to add extra closing bracket / ident the else statement (ideniting is not needed but it will show you where you might have forgotten a bracket). if "%~1"=="Apache! (Taito 1978).vpx" ( mspaint.exe ) else ( if "%~1"=="JP's Ghostbusters Slimer v1.2.1.vpx" ( notepad.exe ) else ( if "%~1"=="another table.vpx" ( echo "ran another table.vpx" ) else ( rem for all other tables write.exe ) ) ) rem line below is always being run echo "blah" also echo "XXX" statements won't do anything when being run from pinballx (only in cmd they print the text). Rem statements are just remarks and you can remove those. so given this system and given you have found a way to install multiple pinsound versions in different folders or using different exe's in same folder you can start different pinsound versions based on table parameter passed to launch before script. Also don't forget to use double quotes for the parameter as shown in first screenshot

Hey guys, I created a compare video with old vs new backglasses of zaccaria. you need to view the video full screen at 1080p on a pc or you won't see the changes. For each backglass it displays half a second the old backglass then half a second the new backglass. So you can easily see the quality changes. I'm not sure the video will be viewable for some reason it said video does not exist when i'm logged in with my account while it does play in icognito mode and on my phone (which makes no sense).

guys, a bit later as promised but i updated everything on ftp. New playfield video for fire mountain remake 2019. I also redid all screenshots of the backglasses in 1600x1200 and 1920x1080. I kept the original screenshots and placed the new ones in a new folder. The reason for doing this is that some backglass pictures have been replaced with a different one. Farfalla is one such example, it's now less explicit but the original white dress one was censored i think anyway. (nipples removed), or just for reference or in case someone prefers the old ones or for compairing the old ones vs new ones

UPDATE 29/04/2019 Fire Mountain Remake 2019 playfield video + 1600x1200 backglass image + 1920x1080 backglass image uploaded to ftp all named fmountain2019.XXX (in the new directories see next item) Recreated all backglass screenshots in 1600x1200 and 1920x1080 resolution. Because the game had received an update with newer, higher resolution and sometimes replaced backglass images. These are located in seperate folders in "/-PinballX-/Other Uploads/Joyrider3774/Zaccaria Pinball/Backglass Images/New Version Res. 1600x1200 Aspect 4-3" and "/-PinballX-/Other Uploads/Joyrider3774/Zaccaria Pinball/Backglass Images/New Version Res. 1600x1200 Aspect 4-3". New backglass images for future tables will always be placed in these new locations i only kept the original ones in case someone prefers a previous version of the backglasses or just for reference. Farfalla is one example that has been replaced with a new backglass picture ingame and perhaps some others Database updated (on ftp)

No i just tested it with the circus table from what i see they don't fill the screen (higher resolution will not change that). The reason they do not fill is so it retains original aspect ratio i guess. The image displayed is just much sharper i tested quickly with circus table comparing the backglass picture with the backglass picture i have in pinballx which is 1600x1200 resolution. It's a lot sharper and cleaner no speckels but i did not test with other backglasses. this could mean i'll have to redo the backglass pictures for all tables. I'll try to do that tommow as well as i have to go now

yes i saw it but did not try yet and not sure it applies for me. There is also a new table out Fire Mountain Remake (2019) https://store.steampowered.com/app/1029680/Zaccaria_Pinball__Fire_Mountain_2019_Table/ this wheel is not originally made by me i only added the 2019 label. I think it was made by draco initially Database entry: <game name="fmountain2019"> <description>Fire Mountain Remake</description> <rom></rom> <manufacturer>Magic Pixel</manufacturer> <year>2019</year> <type>RM</type> <hidedmd>True</hidedmd> <hidetopper>True</hidetopper> <hidebackglass>True</hidebackglass> <enabled>True</enabled> <rating>0</rating> </game> I will create the playfield video and backglass screenshots tommorow as i don't have time this evening

@hawkeyez88 which ones you feel are missing ? as i got a full set now with the locations givens. Or do you mean they don't all use same layout (like images in wheels of backglass or playfield). My set is currently mixed, although i only have a very small amount table image ones -

joyrider3774 replied to Draco1962's topic in PinballX Media Projects
I uploaded them to the ftp here /-PinballX-/Other Uploads/Joyrider3774/Zaccaria Pinball/Wheel Images/Remakes the base images are the ones from draco. I also uploaded the templates for 2019 & 2020 (based on your templates). However in my labeled docklet wheel images i did move the template layer up so the year value would sit abit above the original logo and not over it. If you want to have the year label exactly on same position as your labeled wheels you should use the template i created and don't move the layer. In the templates for 2019 / 2020 they sit at same position as your 2018 label template so you can reuse that
