also make sure you added your tables to the visual pinball x system and not visual pinball system it's obvious but you never know also verify you did not use alternateexe in xml i doubt it but again you never know
-
Don't know if flyers exist for pinball fx2/3. For the williams ones you can take the flyers from visual pinball. Original tables you could create your own and share or let us know if you find something
-
I explained how i did it here
-
i already answered that Page 1: [TableName].SWF or [Table Description].SWFPage2 : [TableName] 1.SWF or [Table Description] 1.SWFPage3 : [TableName] 2.SWF or [Table Description] 2.SWF
-
don't know not sure is possible have not verified perhaps this is correct folder PinballX\Media\Startup Videos. But next time open NEW topic in GENERAL section if you are asking different things to keep topics on TOPIC
-
You do it with flipper buttons. But you need Pinball X Frontend version 4.08 minimum (so update pinball x frontend first) in old versions it was not working
-
Press the instructions key in pinball x or press select key and choose instructions in menu. If instructions exist and they are named correctly the menu entry should show up. If your asking how to name them: Page 1: [TableName].SWF or [Table Description].SWF Page2 : [TableName] 1.SWF or [Table Description] 1.SWF Page3 : [TableName] 2.SWF or [Table Description] 2.SWF etc
-
so that's the reason i can not create them for those 3 table they just don't exist no pdf no instruction swf cards
-
they don't exist yet, if you had read the message i had posted in other topic about the instruction cards you know i got the instruction pdf files from here https://www.pinballfx.com/?page_id=7527 but williams pinball volume 5 pdf's don't exist yet so i could not create them as soon as they exist i will create them but for now you'll have to wait

Pinball FX3 instruction guides / cards
joyrider3774 replied to joyrider3774's topic in PinballX Media Projects
For future reference here's how i created them. I'm not sure how @Carny_Priest initally created the SWF files for pinball fx2 but i used the xpdf command line tools (more specifically pdftopng.exe) to convert each page of the PDF to a PNG image with font aliasing enabled. Then i renamed each png file to match either tablename or table description following the format pinballx accepts to use multipage instruction cards because pdftopng does not name the png's in the format pinballx excpects. I was not going to rename over 700 png files manually so have i created a small program in delphi to rename to files in batch for me to the name pinballx expects. Then i used swftools which contains a pngtoswf.exe file to convert the png's to an swf file. The reason i convert the png's to SWF afterwards is because pinballx otherwise stretches the png images to your monitor resolution and this looked funky / distored the pages. Initially i had tried to use ffmpeg but it introduced too many artifacts for some reason probably due to higher compression of the SWF files and it just did not look good. The output from pngtoswf.exe was just much better quality. I tested them on my pinball cabinet and they seem to look good even the images on some pages. I mostly automated everything using batchfiles in a few steps. It took me a while to figure all this out and create the delphi renaming program but it worked out great. -
you can always click on store on the top menu and then orders to see if you had payed anything in the past. Given it remembers every other that is
-
Basic users can't access ftp. Maybe you had payed for a one year membership in the past and it recently expired ? i have not been a member for long but thats how i see how it was. Not sure anything recently changed concerning that. I payed for lifetime access to be sure

Multipage / file instruction cards ? how to display next file
joyrider3774 replied to joyrider3774's topic in General
thanks tom, i quickly tested and it seems to be working fine now as far as i can tell -
Hey guys, Since multipage instruction cards are working i tried to get a complete set for pinball fx3 but carnypriest seems to have created those PDF to SWF guide conversions of ShoryukenToTheChin for pinball FX2 and there did not exist any for pinball fx3. I noticed ShoryukenToTheChin still creates guides for pinball FX3 and releases them in PDF (see here https://www.pinballfx.com/?page_id=7527 ). So i spend half a day figuring out how to get from PDF to SWF where each page is one SWF file. I figured it out eventually and i have created all missing instruction guide cards for pinball fx3. The only ones missing are for williams pinball volume 5 but there don't exist such guides yet for those tables. you can download those guides from ftp on this location "/-PinballX-/Other Uploads/Joyrider3774/Pinball FX3/Instruction Cards" the other instruction cards made by carny priest are available here "/-PinballX-/Media/Instruction Cards/#open6l" these are the ones i created each file consists of multiple SWF files one for each page to show as instruction cards. it i have named some like game name and some like the descriptions i use (because REDCUP1 etc is not clear what it means) if they do not match with you, you'll have to rename the extracted swf files manually to match your database Adventure Land Pinball.zip Back to the future.zip BALLY_Attack_from_Mars.zip BALLY_BlackRose.zip BALLY_Champion_Pub.zip BALLY_Creature_from_the_Black_Lagoon.zip BALLY_Party_Zone.zip BALLY_Safe_Cracker.zip BALLY_TheatreOfMagic.zip E.T..zip jaws.zip Son of Zeus.zip Star Wars - Ahch-To Island.zip Star Wars - Battle of Mimban.zip Star Wars - Calrissian Chronicles.zip Star Wars - Solo.zip Star Wars - The Last Jedi.zip UNIVERSAL_Jurassic_Park.zip UNIVERSAL_Jurassic_Theme_Park.zip UNIVERSAL_Jurassic_World.zip WMS_Fish_Tales.zip WMS_Getaway.zip WMS_Hurricane.zip WMS_Junkyard.zip WMS_Medieval_Madness.zip WMS_Monster_Bash.zip WMS_Roadshow.zip WMS_White_Water.zip

are you using the systems menu ? if so select pinball FX3 system. If not you see all tables and it should be listed. given you have enabled / setup the pinball fx3 system that is
-
you have to run the problematic table / make the problem happen and then upload the log.Txt that log just seems to be a log of starting / quiting pinballx. Aslo you do own the tables right ?

Multipage / file instruction cards ? how to display next file
joyrider3774 replied to joyrider3774's topic in General
@Tom Speirs just tried 4.07 multipage instructions are working (thanks for this) however it seems to have introduced a small new problem / bug. it seems we can press the start / play key to hide instructions and see the backglass again however if have a table with only one instruction file (not sure if it happens with multipage also i do not have a list yet where i have multiple tables where one has a multipage instructions) and we do not do press the play button first to hide the instruction and we press PAGE LEFT / PAGE RIGHT (nudge) key to skip to next table (by skipping letters which seems to work) it will hide the intructions and goto next table in alphabet but if we press left / right (flipper )key after that moment to skip to next table it will either display the instructions again (for current table) and if there are no instruction for current table pressing left / right (flipper) key does nothing. Only when pressing the play key first to hide the instructions the left / right (flipper) keys work normally again edit: maybe it should do the same as with flyers ? like disable PAGE LEFT / PAGE RIGHT key and use LEFT / RIGHT key to skip to prev / next page until instructions are hidden (by play key again) so only enable page LEFT / RIGHT key and do not allow PAGE RIGHT / PAGE LEFT if instructions are shown to skip tables in alphabet as it seems to introduce problems edit2: single page or multipage instruction makes no difference the problem described happens in both situations (seems to me page right / page left (nudge) buttons just seems to be disabled while displaying instructions (until instructions are hidden again) that would solve the problem -
Pinball FX3 not display on top when launching from PinballX
joyrider3774 replied to godschoice's topic in General
Are you using windows 10 1909 i have seen somone else mention this on facebook group since updating to 1909 -
not sure i don't download future pinball but you can match content using game manager (if you entered login data in settings.exe) but i'm not sure if it has future pinball stuff. you mostly have to rename yourselve to match whats inside your database. Over the years there have been many table releases and not everyone names are the same when they upload on ftp so there is no easy way to do it perhaps using game manager but it is possible most content is vpx. Should check the others section as well there are some video's here /-PinballX-/Other Uploads/TerryRed/Future Pinball (Updated with Topper Files) and docklets here /-PinballX-/Other Uploads/DownloadSnaps/Future Pinball Docklets/ thats all i could find future pinball related, not in the main sections
-
one more thing @slashguns04 don't forget to enter your login details inside pinball x settings for gameex online so you can search for downloads from within game manager and use non lite content

Mega Docklets for visual pinball i could not find

btw even if you have access you can use http://ftpbrowse.gameex.com/ in google searches just type what you are looking for followed by the addres or even inurl:address then if it finds somethings you browse to it using ftp that way you can for example find which users in others section have uploaded fx3 / fx2 stuff for example to find pinball fx3 stuff if the folder is named "pinball fx3" you search for https://www.google.com/search?q=pinball+fx3+inurl%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fftpbrowse.gameex.com%2F&oq=pinball+fx3+inurl%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fftpbrowse.gameex.com%2F look at the address and browse to it using filezilla client to same directory
-
http://ftpbrowse.gameex.com/ is the read only preview of the ftp. You need to use a ftp client like filezilla
