I'm sorry I don't know, but when viewing visualisations GameEx is using windows media player, elsewhere it's not.

I think all this might be down to the new graphics engine in MAME. What versions are you using?

Not sure why your getting the error, but what your seeing is the nag screen, you have to wait several seconds without pressing anything then GameEx will start.

Hi, did you change the actual Windows XP theme, not the GameEx one? You may have to hold the exit control for a few seconds to make it exit. Hey, I am using an AutoIt3 script to do everything. I'm not controlling the mouse and clicks in GameEx, thats way overkill for this. I got your emails. Thanks for that, might be useful in the future.

That's default behaviour.

The standard DivX player does this. I would uninstall it and install FFDSHOW. http://ffdshow.sf.net

If the path has spaces in it you may need to put it in quotes, that's probably the issue. Tom.

Try running GameEx in 16-bit colour.

Hi, The rotation only works when the resolution is 800X600 or lower. I am guessing that's your problem. Let use knnow.

Its because GameEx can find that file. Specify a full path to it. And your not running the latest version. 6.28 fixed GameEx not showing a friendly message.

Yeah with decent hardware and the right drivers I got GameEx flying on Win98SE too. Certainly OK for only playing MAME with GameEx, way too dated for anything else though.

I havent tried XP Lite but the problem with it is that if you ever decide you need something you removed you have to start over. I would just look at look turning off the gui, disabling services, and make sure you have no other little helper (apparantly) applications running at startup. You could also inadvertably remove a service or library that GameEx or other programs need to run.

The wrong clicking is either down to the theme you are using, ie bigger/smaller window title bars, or possibly resolution. I bet its your XP theme though. Take a look at that.

I have not tested GameEx on windows 2000 for a while, but it used to and should run fine. Although my advise would be to stick with XP, but optimise it heavily and remove/disable the extra crap you don't need.

You should get the latest version as there was a bug that made GameEx show that error instead of a friendly one. Anyway post your log, that should shed some light.

Look at "Launch On Startup Dont Wait" Under "Tweaks/Performance" in the config app.

Can you post your log. Also ensure your running the latest version. I think a few folks had this problem with 6.20

I've mainly put it up in the past because of exchange rate rises, but I finally decided now to trying to accept the payments in pounds sterling which is my local currency. Assuming this does not put people off in the states from paying I don't expect this now to change for the forseable future. The Minimize box has been there for a long time, but glad you discovered it
