  1. No, it only shows one snap, video or menu item image at a time. You can show the other game artwork, but its done by accessing the menus. GameEx has a multidemensional interface unlike the other front ends.
  2. I had a good few when I was a kid. I was particluarly keen on the Coleco ones. They were arcade games and designed and looked like the original arcade cabinet with the artwork etc, but ovbiously small. I had Donkey Kong and Pacman. Galaxians was another one available, and not sure but think maybe Frogger. Of course theyd be worth something now too I guess. Although my mum though them out at some stage! The best handheld I ever saw was Defender. It was sega gamegear/lynx style in shape, but I remember my friend having it. The thing with it, was it was incredibly playable. To me at the time, near on as good as the arcade. Thanks a lot for sharing that Night, and Smiff you need to chill a bit about off topic posts . They have the Donkey Kong I had on there. Also about 3 others I remember playing as a kid. Spent a transatlantic flight playing Dungeons & Dragons' and totally forgot that I used to have Galaxy Wars. Right I've finished work for the day I think!
  3. Hi, forget about offline list. Go here: http://localarcade.com/screenshotarchive/
  4. I think we are talking about PC Games. ie strategy and gun games. You set it for an emulator or an extermal application.
  5. I can see Joy Division playing there. Good call;)
  6. 9th July, 2006 - GameEx 6.45 New setting for Amos Make toolbar text white
  7. I agree with the comments. To me this constitues art.
  8. 9th July, 2006 - GameEx 6.43 For registered users - Mouse Emulation Control games, applications and emulators that require a mouse with a gamepad and arcade controls
  9. I'd be more than willing, and would really appreciate the contribution.
  10. I agree they don't really have a leg to stand on or defence at all, but that's my decision for now.
  11. I don't recall that being an error, that just means GameEx wont launch Media Center on exit. You need to post the log file in order for me to figure out why it errors. Tom.

Bump again. Anyone else having issues with DVD's since recent versions? Its all working fine for me.
  13. To fix the flickering, go to display settings, and either set the setting to not change resolution, or set a different one. For the update crash, I can tell you it can take a really long time to update the list. It may be your not waiting long enough. Otherwise yourll need to post the GameEx log for me to look at.
  14. The latest version install should not require the .net framework 1.1 or 1.0. I'm guessing here though your installing the latest version over an older version, and the older version had some configuration files that would cause this to happen. Either uninstall and delete the gameex directory and do a fresh install, or delete all the files in the GameEx directory that have the extension ".exe.config" I'm like 99.9% sure that is the issue.
  15. GameEx should display the image at the right size, but it does not correct the aspect ratio for emulated games. I wonder if its because the horizontal and vertical size is the same. Obviously an image at 259X259 is not at the correct aspect ratio for any sized display.
  16. The Gamebase team told me they did not want me to do it as it breaks there license agreement, you can view the thread here. http://www.gamebase64.com/forum/viewtopic....65bca00771c0386 I believe there is nothing they could do if I did implement support, but I'm sticking to there wishes for now.

hmm. Should have been fixed in 6.42 (released Yesterday). Can you confirm your deffinitly running that version, and also what OS your running. Thanks, Tom.
  21. There was a bug with autoupdate in earlier versions. Just do a manual install from the GameEx web site. Thanks.
  22. I dont think its to do with GameEx, did you update your version of MAME? I've not looked into the new rendering features in MAME, maybe that's causing it, but if your using the ArcadeVGA settings you can change the resolution vector games run at. Basically what's happpening there running at a resolution or rate which is not compatible with your monitor. If your not using the ArcadeVGA settings, somehow yourll need to tell Vector games to run at a different resolution in MAME.

    LCD Plugin

Hi Mike, its actually supported LCD output for some time, but the the last few updates enhanced it quite a bit. It is completely seperate from MAME, and you can read how to set it all up here: http://tomspeirs.com/gameEx/docs_LCD.htm I dont have any experience with the screens, but using LCD Smartie which is what GameEx uses to output to a display you can fully test it out, and LCD Smartie is good software which is compatible with most LCD displays. You can of course use a whole monitor for output too with GameExtender.
  24. OK I wished you happy holidays, but stop the winghing. We have to pay $1.88 a LITRE, a packet of cigarettes costs $9 bucks, and a pint about $5 You think you have it so bad, theres so much traffic here you can be in a traffic jam at 3am, and there's so many speed cameras you can loose your license in one trip.
