  1. Unfortunatly I only have 1 logo approaching hi-res. It is attached. Might be good enough for you, not sure.
  2. Check the Media Center mode setting. What's it set at?
  3. Yes, you have to unsubcribe from all topics in addition. If its still not working after that let me know, as it might be a bug due to the version upgrade a month or so back.
  4. Please post your log, and why are you editing the ini file manually?
  5. Your likely missing the latest Neo Geo BIOS, and the games wont verify when updating the list (because you dont have the correct BIOS) You can force GameEx not to verify, by changing the setting under Advanced MAME settings in the config.
  6. It can take a while to do the verify in GameEx, but you can turn it off. Change the option under Advanced MAME settings in the configuration application.
  7. Yes you need to turn off - Send updates from board administrator
  8. You need to tell GameEx to run in 16-bit colour.
  9. Hi I wrote it for challenge and for fun, and because I wanted it. There was nothing out there like it back then when I first discovered windows Media Center. I was inspired by MCE and Game Launcher, but Gamelauncher didnt work with MCE. I looked at other front ends then including MAMEWah, but none were good enough for me. I am a programmer/systems architect/it consultant as a job and started working for myself end of last year (this was after GameEx was created). See http://www.spesoft.com I'm currently on my second cab, and on my third/fourth HTPC PC, currently running on a projector in my living room with about 90" display. Its not taking up all of my life, but a large part of it. Its not my full time job, just a sideline and hobby. It does make my life extremely busy when I have to do other work to make a living, but I enjoy what I do.
  10. 11th June, 2006 - GameEx 6.31 New feature - ability to export all favorites, most played, and external applications to windows media. The games run straight from MCE but using the GameEx engine to avoid audio and video conflicts, and allowing return to MCE when the green button is pressed and ability to exit with the remote. Registered version feature.
  11. This is all fixed in the latest release. Go grab it. Are there any other bugs I should know about? There always a priority for me. Thanks, Tom
  12. 10th June, 2006 - GameEx 6.30 More intuitive menu navigation. Two new settings (on by default) that change MAME and emulator games shown in the lists beginning with 'The' to be renamed as "'Game Name, The'. E.g "The Empire Strikes Back" get renamed for display to "Empire Strikes Back, The" and appears under E in the list instead of T. Fixex Most Played selecting wrong game. Fixes Favourites seclecting wrong game. Fixes Game Extender showing wrong images. Enjoy!
  13. Not for the intro video, but you can turn off the sound for the snap/preview videos via the "Audio in Snap AVi's" setting under Audio settings
  14. Thanks for brigning it to my attention, I'm sure its easy to fix. Hopefully Ill have a new release out shortly. Tom
  15. The Juekebox is turned off under audio setting - jukebox mode, and yes if all multimedia items are disabled the multimedia menu won't display. Cheers.
  16. Hi I just have my cab and PC connected to the same outlet in the wall. I jus turn off the switch. This is what I did. 1. Turned off write caching on all the drives (or set for quick removal), so it does not screw up windows too much. 2. Set the BIOS option on the PC, so when it looses power abnormally it will turn back on. Not that I recommend this solution, but it works for me. I just turn on/off one switch on the wall. If you do this though, make sure you exit GameEx before turning off so it can save any newly added favorites.
  17. 1. This is setup under multimeida/htpc, in the configuration and you either point to a full path for a video file or a directory to play a random video (AVI, MPEG, and WMV are supported). 2. Go into the news in the configuration and turn off the first setting. Fresh_Oil I dont believe its implemented that badly, it did used to be, but I don think so anymore. Maybe your using an old version or something, or last tried it with an old version. As Headkaze says it uses the WMP Engine (but not the object).
  18. This is going to be possible MAME in the not too distant future via Heaskazes theme editor.
  19. Hi, actually I wasn't aware of this issue, could you please explain again exectly what happens. Thanks.
  20. Hi, theres been a few discussions on it but its really not physically possible as far as I, or anyone can work out at the moment, so don't hold your breath. Tom.
  21. Try pressing up/down when accedently moving to the hor or exit button from either the game list or menus. Already done: Show Buttons setting.
  22. That functionality has been been there over a year. Look at the command line options on the docs page.
  23. Try this, and let me know what you think. GameEx 6.29 - EXE only It already does this, there called map files, and GameEx automatically creates them in the data directory. Copy the files and use the map file setting. GameEx.zip
  24. Looks like that was an illegal site, and that was not online TV, but videos. I'm sure you didnt realise so no worries.
  25. Hi, I am sure I got your message, dont know for sure though unless I know your email address. I have not got back to any of the proposed beta testers yet. I don't know much about online TV. It should be possible. If someone can post some good sites to look at where I can get a list of stations I'll look into it. Online TV is a great idea for sure. Thanks, Tom.
