I think your ISP is caching it. Lets try and trick them into not doing that Can you please replace hideos.exe with the attached and let me know if it fixed it. Thanks a lot for your help. http://tomspeirs.com/gameex/download/hideos.zip

Can you check the time of the file.

I think the download must be getting cached. Although it shoulnd't be. What is the modified date of the file? Are you using a proxy server? Who is your ISP? Tom.
  8. Its normal. GameEx does a lot more than what MAME32 does when updating.

Yeah, I think it must be getting a corrupt a download for some reason. Can you check what version number it says you have. It downloads it to here: C:\Program Files\GameEx\DATA\AutoUpdate Can you check that file? Thanks, Tom
  10. Thanks for letting me know. I've fixed the missing games, and just released 6.16.
  11. 23rd May, 2006 - GameEx 6.15 Updated Model 2 emulator script Should fix all known issues with Model 2 support If not please report on the forum Rotation hotkey checks to make sure not version 2 theme Screensaver/attract mode a little more responsive to key presses http://gameex.net
  12. Yes, it is and its working fine for me. Maybe it's the timing, and you pressed it too soon or too late. Is it consistently doing it?
  13. That's the proper British-English spelling for it. My vote is to keep it
  14. 22nd May, 2006 - New Themes Two new themes by Amos on the downloads page Check em out!
  15. GameEx supports it and always has, we were talking about emulators.
  16. Well good to have you back. Ill take a look whe I get a chance. How do you exit MAME?
  17. Can you try 6.14. I think I already fixed that.
  18. OK, I'll put it back. Yes, wont rotate above 1024 X 576, which means 800 X 600 for most folks.
  19. It checks for DVD codecs.
  20. Here's the latest version exe patched to not remove the default anti-aliasing setting in XP in 16-bit colour. Just extract to GameEx folder. Yes it was stopping cleartype, its overriding the default XP setting for font smoothing. Previous to the latest version it was not doing this. You should see loads of atifacts with the antialiasing - black edges, blue dots etc. http://tomspeirs.com/gameex/download/gameex.zip (Cant seem to add attachments on the forum at the moment for some reason, Im looking into it)
  21. Here is an updated autoit script. Can I have some folks test it and report please. Extract to GameEx dir. Cheers. http://tomspeirs.com/gameex/download/m2loader.zip
  22. Do you have a radio station playing when launching games? That could be the issue, since you last upgraded, Gameex reloads the stream, as some streams got lost previously when they were just paused. I bet that's it. What you been upto anyway, I was wondering what happened to you? I miss the "Impressed with some questions" thread! Just taking the piss and kidding!
  23. The Anti Aliasing was never supposed to be in affect when using 16-Bit Colour, and Vertical mode always runs in 16-Bit Colour. There was a bug though in GameEx where it would still be antialised if Windows XP default font setting was for smoothing. I fixed it in the last release. What sort of display are you running on? Font Antialising generally looks awful in 16-bit colour in GameEx, and tons of artifacts. I'm a little confused how you think it could be better how it was?
  24. I wouldn't buy one in the hope of improving gaming. All emulators that I know of will run stretched and some emulators won't even run at a widescreen resolution, as the original games weren't designed for widescreen. You may find the odd commercial PC game with widescreen support, but not many, although I am out of touch.
  25. Its on my list, and has been since the first post. Cheers.
