  1. I shouldnt think so but have not tried it.
  2. 2nd December 2006. There's been reports of issues with the latest ATI drivers. This seem to affect the following features/settings in GameEx 3D menu transitions (Display settings) Alpha Blend videos (Multimedia/HTPC settings) Slidewhow/Picture transitions/fades (Multimedia/HTPC settings) It appears to be related to the windows AlphaBlend API call.
  3. For 1. Set the Flat menus option.
  4. I don't have other remotes so don't know for sure, although GameEx should be able to take standard mouse and keyboard. I am happy to and would really like to implement support for other controllers if people can work with me on it. Thanks. Tom
  5. Can you tell me whaat the drivers are so if others have issues?
  6. In regard to the photo slideshow, this was reported before and was down to new video drivers. Have you insttalled some, and if so which ones? Emph, Are you still getting that problem with GX changing the bezel version? Can you tell me which version and build of MAME your using, if possible post a link.
  7. Emph, so when doing a manual install and it defaults to swedish, because you are swedish what language do you then select, custom?
  8. If GameEx is running horizontally then horizontal, if its running vertically then vertical - basically automatic.
  9. I am pretty certain we are going to have quite a few more GameEx users this holiday season and winter, what with people having time off, and the weather being awful. That may mean I may end up doing more coding, and less outdoor pursuits. Anyway I would like to remind new users we have a fantastic community here, with so many contributions including graphics designes for themes, other web sites for help, twaeakers, config writers and hopefully some coders with the new plugin system. GameEx is very much improved by contributions by the folks here, and I do my best to make sure pretty much anything logical and worthwhile gets fixed or implemented in GameEx, as time permits. So - Feature requests are still actively encouraged (even if your freeloading , and get involved - code some plugins, post some configs, create some themes, or whatever floats your boat. I also wanted to mention there's a competition over at www.retroblast.com to win some free registered versions. Also thank you so much for all the contributions and helping this community thrive, gees its busy here sometimes! Happy holidays (I know a bit early) Tom GameEx Author.
  10. Hi There, I'm not too sure about your emulator issues, as I don't run any of those, the main thing to check is you have the map keys setting on so gameex can catch the escape key. However the reason for writing, I'm really interested to hear how GameEx generally runs on your machine as its obviously a little low end and I was really curious how the performance was etc. I always like to know stuff like that. Thanks. Tom
  11. You need to do a manual install from the web site.
  12. http://www.retroblast.com/reviews/GameEx_F...1292006-02.html Please, spread the word!
  13. No problem, it's not an obvious thing I should add that to the FAQ. Enjoy GameEx!
  14. OK, I take this back, I gave in and installed it as I don't want an unsecure system going forward. It's actually pretty good, and you can enable and put the menus back, and you can still open a page in a new window. I've had no hard errors as of yet, although keep moving the mouse to the wrong place to click things, but I just need to get used to it. I admit when I am wrong
  15. Yeah thanks, this must be because Auto Update now runs to completion, before it was broken and would always roll back the install, so probably was not updating the ini setting for language. Can you tell me - if you do a manual install, is Swedish the default language it trys to select?
  16. Try this: Go into advanced MAME configuration. Turn off verify roms then turn on only existing. Then Update the list again.
  17. As far as I know, nothing has changed in respect to this. Although the auto update is now fixed so maybe that's why. Did you auto update or not?
  18. GameEx does not really do anything that could affect that, it has to be the drivers, I can't see how uninstalling it will help. If you mean fresh install of windows, then just back up your whole gamee directory and install over the top. I've yet to see a problem where the only solution was to uninstall GameEx.
  19. I did test it and its still working fine for me, did you change any drivers or display settings in GameEx?
  20. The setting I was referring to is under Multimedia/HTPC.
  21. hmm, nothings changed there. That fading can be slow on some systems, it always has been. You can turn off the alpha blending (fading).
  22. No, thank YOU for your help. Would you mind doing a bit more testing for me, just so we know for sure?
  23. The error seems to be a display issue with directdraw, so it would indicate a Vista or gfx driver issue as far as I can see.
  24. Issue should be fixed now going forward from 7.05.
  25. Are you using the DirectX renderer for Zinc? Are you sure this is to do with the new version???
