  1. what version did you upgrade from? Also, try this exe and let me know. GameEx.zip
  2. what version did you upgrade from?
  3. Thats the Home key. Does that make any sense? Could you try an older version of MAME quite a few versions back, and what version are you using? Maybe its that.
  4. Please post the log with the screensaver not working.
  5. Can you post the log after it happens. Cheers.
  6. To be honest with you GameEx does not generate nearly enough cash for me to be able to hire programmers to work on the main core. I do pay for work though from time to time, so it would be better to pay someone to do the tv support, unfortunatly there not many programmers out there that I could get to do it. I did actually try to get some help on it, so its down to me for the moment. In addition TV support in GameEx is never going to be as good as MCE or Vista, so that kind of demotivates me quite a lot. Wheras some of the other things GameEx does can't really be beaten at the moment in my opinion.
  7. There's nothing I am aware of. I think the majority of folks have no issues. I have no ideas why its not working for you, and its nothing to do with the command line, it's generally very stable software as most folks here will tell you, more stable than a lot of software. All I can suggest, is if your that keen to run GameEx you try reinstalling windows and starting from scratch with the latests versions and drivers. By the way, that command in the log is kind of pseudo, to test the Game on its own look at the run last game link in the program group. GameEx creates a batch file .bat everytime it runs something and runs the .bat file (I dont think your realised that HK).
  8. Hi, Its probably a while off yet, but I dont want to commit to anything, although I don't think it will be this year. I have made some progress, and have some code working that records and timeshifts s-video input. I just don't seem to have so much time lately, but I am actively working on other things in GameEx, and theres still frequent releases.
  9. GameEx will need some coding changes to work with the new arcadeVGA card and a medium res monitor. If someone has this setup with the new card, I will work with them to get this working in GameEx, if anyone wants to help. I personally am unable to test a medium res monitor with the older card, so don't know what will work. Are you able to test it yourself with the older card.
  10. Yeah new one for me too, especially with a GIG.

  12. Wow, I completely missed that post. I am actually quite pleased with myself that GameEx is already extensible enough to do this as it is, but Ill add some better support for this stuff so it does not require much setup. Of course we could just add this to the FAQ, but nobody reads it anyway Thanks again mate, you are the dogs bollocks!
  13. Thanks a lot Headkaze. In the words of Britney "You did it again" lol. Would it be ok to integrate this into GameEx and the GameEx install so the folks can just use it as a setting rather than have to configure it? I hope so, let me know. Cheers. Tom
  14. There not nightmares there fun challenges. lol! Its funny, you are really useful now, but I so remember your early posts. Take a look at them to see how far you've come
  15. Hi, no.2 will be in the next release. Cheers. Tom Yes, my plan is to search everything (if configured to do so which will be optional), and list the results by type, so jukebox, videos, mame or emulator system.
  16. No, its my bad, it doesn't work, I've just stapled a post-it to my head to remind me to remove the option.
  17. Yep, we've been so lucky in that respect, I'm so pleased the way everything has worked out with the forum, and I can't thank all you guys enough for helping new folks around here. I really hope you don't mind me spending a little less time on support and instead just trying to enhance the software itself. Anyway just wanted to say it does not go unoticed and I do appreciate it.

Theres no easy way, there stored in a custom text data file here: c:\program files\gameex\data\gamelist.txt I can't offer much more help on that for now.

No easy way for my MAME Screensaver app, you'd need to do this on the file level, and just make sure the folder only cotained the correct games. That app does not support favorites.
  20. Go into Advanced Configuration and GameExtender (might be next page), and you can set a message and user name.
  21. 15th October, 2006 - GameEx 7.00 If you downloaded 6.97 or 6.98 you should get this version due to exception checking being left turned off Fixes Bezel feature Setup Wizard 1.5 by Ben Baker: -Added HTML Applications/External Apps/Radio Stations & News Feeds -Added the rest of the Daphne setup for each game -Added a new feature at the end of the Wizard called 'Verify Setup'
  22. You all need to get 6.99, 6.97 and .98 are going to have crash issues. HK: Can you also check youve not got an existing bezel there.
  23. Can you change the mamefilesize in gameex.ini under [internal] ,launch gameex, post your log, and check you have bezelversion=2 in gameex.ini under [internal] Thanks.

    DVD on disk

Its designed to work with plain DVD files, vob, ifo and not ISO's.
  25. There still seems to be issues with auto update. You need to do a manual install to get the bezel v2 files You dont need to update the list, thats just because GameEx now checks for a change in mame version, and as theres no history for the mame version for your install prior to this release it prompts. The exception problem is fixed in 6.99 now available. Thanks. Tom
