  1. I had the exact same problem with my tankstick. After upgrading past Mame32 version 118 or later, the x-arcade never worked quite right. I triple checked that all my settings were correct within Mame32, but I would go into a game and the Player 1 controller never mapped correctly. Player 2 only mapped a few of the correct keys. What I ended up doing was deleting all the other controller CFG files contained within CTRLR directory and downloaded the version of MAME32 Plus! that x-arcade gives away on their website (see URL below). Within this zip file was an updated xarcade.cfg (dated 10/24/07) newer than the one they offer as a direct download. http://www.x-arcade.com/service/ServiceFil...20Plus!.zip I dropped this updated cfg into the CTRLR (so that it was the ONLY file contained within the CTRLR directory) and re-launched MAME32 (I am running .122 u6). Everything worked after that point. I am not sure what changed within the CFG file (it is a just a few K smaller), but it solved my problem. X-Arcade needs to update their CFG file (direct download) to this new version. It would save all of us a lot of wasted time and effort. Pancho
  2. I am currently running a fresh install of Vista Ultimate RTM and GameEx 7.05. I have the latest Nvidia drivers installed (96.85) and GameEx works just fine either launched via MediaCenter or straight from the desktop. I can run/play MAME32 (110) games and ATARI 2600 games (Stella) without any issues. The problem occurs when I attempt to run another emulator (in my case GBA (VisualBoy) or Nintendo64(Project64). Gamex will attempt to load up the database of games and crash (I have attached the log). I can exit out of GameEx and manually run the emulators from the desktop. The issue seems to be the way GameEx recognizes these 2 emulators. My first shot at troubleshooting was to turn off the DATABASE option in the GameEX config and let the software manually scan the directory for roms. No luck there. What is even more strange is it appears that GameEx doesn't recognize the Database option as being turned off as I still receive the LOADING BARS when I select the emulator (see attached GBS config) before it crashes. I don't believe this is a Vista issue, but I am at a loss here. Can anyone assist? Thanks. Pancho GameEx_7.05_log.txt GBA_Emulator.txt
  3. I currently have GameEx (6.80) working perfectly with numerous Emu's (Atari, VisualBoy, etc.) without any problems. I also have it working just fine with Project64 1.6. However, once I launch a game in Project64, I am unable to exit out of the Emu without physically hitting ESC on a nearby keyboard. On every other Emu I could change the Exit key to match what I want to use it on X-Arcade Solo (the lower right Pinball flipper button - Which is set to the number 4 ). My GameEx config is below: [Emulator_1] Enabled=True STARTPAGENAME=Nintendo 64 Games TITLETEXT=N64 StartPageLogo=n64 ROMFilter=*.zip RomsInFolders=False RomPath=C:\MAME\NINTENDO64\roms SnapPath=C:\MAME\NINTENDO64\snaps TitlePath=C:\MAME\NINTENDO64\titles BoxPath=C:\MAME\NINTENDO64\boxart CartPath=C:\MAME\NINTENDO64\cartridges WorkingPath=C:\MAME\NINTENDO64 MapKeys=False WaitBeforeKeys= SendKeys= ReplaceDash=True ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=True RemoveBrackets=True ShowDesktop=False Debug=False MAPFile=n64x AlsoLaunch= Command=Project64.exe [ROMPath]\[RomFile] OLDatZip=C:\Program Files\OfflineList0.7\datas\n64_OL.zip LaunchBefore= LaunchAfter= configFile=Project 64 V2 ExcludedFiles= CustomBackground= PlayMusic= PCGame= DATABASE=N64 GamesIn7Zips= PlayInScreenSaver=True [GENERAL] DumbyValue= I am running Windows MCE and by enabling the config file to match the Project64 V2.ini file, I can also use the BACK button on the MCE remote as well as the ESC key on the keyboard, but what a pain. I have scoured these forums with users suggesting the AUTOHOTKEY program, but there has to be a simpler way. Does anyone have additional syntax that I could add to the Project64 V2 file to accomplish this simple task using the button on the X-arcade Solo Controller? Thanks again. Pancho
