  1. Thanks. Can you run GameEx, Exit. Then Run again, exit and post the log. It does not seem to be loading the title font from cache, and thats taking an extra 3.5 seconds. Thanks.
  2. Can you do me a favour and post your log please? Thanks. Tom.
  3. I've got no complaints
  4. Hold down "CTRL/Button 1" and "right" to alpha page.
  5. Check your gameex directory to make sure you have NO files ending in exe.config.
  6. Improved startup/initialisation speed.

You shouldnt lose favorites, maybe it was because you upgraded from a really old version. I think I can do you request, can you send or get to me the favorites.ini file so I have something to work with. Cheers. Tom
  8. Need to know what it is mate. Also did you see the FAQ item about files ending in exe.config?
  9. Got my delivery an hour ago and just discovered all the drivers are in Beta. I have the latest and supported kit. What a bag of bollocks. EDIT: Does VISTA RTM X64 include NFORCE4, Creative X-FI and Hauppage PVR drivers??? I really don't want to install it if Media Ceter aint gonna work.
  10. Can you post a screenshot and let me know what font options your using. I can't remember if I changed the list number positiong in this version or not. I dont think I did.
  11. My copies should be arriving today. There will be the ability to have "similar" themes to Vista media center, with V3 themes that I'm working on. There's no need for a seperate version. If theres any remaining issues running GameEx on Vista, I should hopefully be able to fix them soon, but as far as I know it runs fine.
  12. No, its fine. MS dont list it sometimes for some reason, but its same as XP.
  13. I think this issue is fixed in the latest version of GameEx.
  14. I'm pleased to present the first GameEx release of 2007. There has been a lot of fixes and optimisations and the entire project has been upgraded to .net framework 2.0. Because of .net 2.0, auto update will not work until you upgrade manually to this version of future versions. You obviously need .net 2.0 installed but the setup will automatically download it for you. The main new features and enhancments are as follows: Setup wizard now features a search for setting feature.Includes Ben Bakers LCD/LED PluginPlugin system 1.3 with included .net 2.0 source code templatesSpeech plugin now speaks game descriptionsNew plugn - random arcade soundFor registered users theres a PDF game manual viewer for MAME and emulatorsNew setting to disable the game information page at the emulator levelNew setting to have gameex not hide the windows taskbarPicture and slideshows now show the GameEx toolbar when the mouse is activeThe progress dialog bar when playing videos and dvds now takes up less screen spaceGameEx should startup and run fasterFixes menu crash issue with certain themesFixes games not launching when game information page is disabled in certain configurationsFixes display issues with certain fontsThere's more but that's the main changesComing soon is search functionality and a new additional theme/interface style. I would like to again thank Ben Baker for his continued help and support.
  15. It is fixed in the new drivers, but only for newer cards. For older cards you still need the older drivers. According to the NVIDIA site, the newer drivers since around when they released the buggered version have no updates for older cards anyway. So stick to the working drivers.
  16. The only ever time I use the floppy drive is when I need to install a disk driver when installing windows. I think with Vista you dont even need one for that now. I normally disable it on most my systems too, but best way is just turn it off in the BIOS.
  17. Its not possible, sorry, all you can do is configure it the same, which is what that option does. Thanks.
  18. 80% although I consider myself a modeator too Thanks for that, nice littl diversion on a sunday morning EDIT: So dont feel too bad if you did not get a 100%! lol.
  19. Yeah, GameEx and the config use that at startup. GameEx is compiled under .net 1.1 (next version will be 2.0) so that means it will always run under 1.1 if its installed. If 1.1 is not installed it will run under 2.0. Upcoming release will run under 2.0 only.
  20. Really have no idea, and I have looked at it. Sorry. Does not seem to do it here.
  21. You guys are starting to know more than me now, I couldnt for the life of me think what that could be
  22. Its working as it should. I consider these games not working. As far as I am concerned imperfect means they work with just a few minor discrepencies No sound means they dont work to me. Vanilla MAME ie the game xml output also considers these games not working, and thats what GameEx looks at.
  23. There is no setting to prevent this currently but I'll look at adding it in the next version so GameE is Meedio friendly.
  24. GameEx is not to be bundled with ROM's
  25. By the way it does send multiple inputs too. If you want a private Beta of the next version just drop me an email. .net 2.0 plugins are supported, and theres quite a few enhancments to the plugin system. Tom.
