  1. There still seems to be issues with auto update. You need to do a manual install to get the bezel v2 files You dont need to update the list, thats just because GameEx now checks for a change in mame version, and as theres no history for the mame version for your install prior to this release it prompts. The exception problem is fixed in 6.99 now available. Thanks. Tom
  2. Sorry about that, I left exception checking turned off by mistake. Go grab 6.99 now available.

  4. Hi, its a limitation of sorts, it does not create sound. Thanks, Tom.
  5. In advanced Configuration for the emulators change the show desktop setting. Alternatively make sure the emus are set to run full screen. Its mentioned in the FAQ/DOCS.
  6. It's in the docs and FAQ, its been asked loads of times, but no worries. You need to turn off the use Bezel setting under Basic MAME settings.
  7. No, sorry. Custom menus are still planned though in the future.

  11. 3rd October, 2006 - GameEx 6.91 Updates and enhancments to the GameEx setup wizard. Many thanks to everyone in the community who has provided feedback on the new addition so far. As well as thanking Headkaze again, I wanted to mention what I neglected to last time and that is a huge thanks to Adultry for providing all the emulator configurations.
  12. Yeah, I've got a problem with my host, and am in the process of moving to a dedicated server. Sorry its not working for you. You may have to uncheck the button to download default themes.
  13. Only 1 7-zip is unzipped at any one time, so it shouldnt be an issue. Next time you launch a 7z for that system it will delete the old ones contents.
  14. Because of various changes and fixes in this version, I recommend a manual download and install is done. So I've temporarily disabled auto update, just for now. Tom
  15. Can you try deleting EMU_2.map from the data directory? I think its some cache settings in the ini file that I was using on my system.

No you shouldnt have to: If your moving to a new system do the following: 1. Backup the entire c:\program files\gameex folder 2. Copy to the same place on the new system. 3. Install GameEx to the same location on the new system. 4. Ensure you install any emulators to the same location on the new system if possible. Although should not be needed for MAME.
  19. 1st October, 2006 - GameEx 6.90 Introducing the GameEx Setup Wizard! A new innovation in gaming frontends - The GameEx setup wizard allows wizard style configuration, download, setup of GameEx, MAME, emulators and all your media needs. This makes the setup of GameEx even easier than it ever it was. Now the gaming frontend with the most complex backend and amount of features, is probably now the easiest to setup and use. The GameEx setup wizard is entirely the work of Ben Baker (AKA Headkaze). You should get this version of GameEx as soon as you can. Please give feedback and ask questions about this new addition to GameEx on the GameEx forums. My thanks, gratitude and admiration go out to Ben.
  20. 1st October, 2006 - GameEx 6.81 The rom filter setting now works with emulators setup with GoodMerge 7-zip. You don't need to set the rom filter as *.7z, if you do it will list all unzipped contents, same as *.* So you can set it to what to filter on the unzipped contents such as *.bin. Fixes CD-Player and CD-Ripper due to a missing file in the install Most recently played emu games shown at the top of the list now show database info at the top of the screen if available Create emulator snaps now works when emulators are setup as goodmerge 7-zips Fixes to auto updater which will take affect for future versions I recommend doing a manual download and install from the GameEx web site for this version if updating
  21. I have checked the code, I can't see anything, although in the latest version release today I made GameEx use even less cpu. All its really doing when a game is launched normally is checking for ended process the mce process or key and joystick presses. Please do post back. Thanks, Tom
  22. On most controllers its player 1 start button. You shouldnt have to do remapping.
