  1. Hi All, GameEx was doing it's autoupdate as it normally does (fabulous) but after running came back with: Error: 76 - Could not find a part of the path "C:\Program Files\GameEx\PlugIns". It worked moments earlier & I did nothing else to my PC. Any suggestions on how to best fix? Thanks!
  2. Will, I'm no expert, but wanted to write about my experience with this in case it helps. I had the same problem with AMD dual core. When you talk @ the AMD Dual core optimizer, I assume you're trying one of the optimized builds at http://redump.emubase.de/mame.php ? I tried both of the AMD optimized builds (Athlon XP & 64), and the Athlon XP worked just fine. Perfection - no more stuttering frames or sound. I don't know that this build leverages the full processor cycles for 2 threads, but it seems to perform as well or better than my p4 3GHz w/ HT with MAME. I read several posts elsewhere in the MAME community with advice on changing drivers, turning off the "cool 'n quiet" technology, etc. Using the Athlon optimised build was the only solution that worked straight away. Good Luck!
  3. Is there something I need to do to prompt GameEx to recapture the video screen snaps? When I go back to the create video snaps, it gives me the same message as before that it will capture video for every game. I assumed it would start over, but maybe it only captures the ones that are missing? I'd like to add video snaps for the neo-geo games that didn't get captured the 1st time around (because of the mame version as mentioned above), and would like to replace a few where no in-game video was captured because the game required input before it would move on (i.e. some of the midway games like NBA Jam, where it just shows the OS/Rom-check start-up screen). Thanks Tom! GameEx is by far the best & easist to use Front Ends & operating environment out there. I registered my copy yesterday am
  4. I was able to make the snaps & GameEx & the video snaps work great! I do have one problem. I was running a newer version of Mame32 which I've since found out would not run any of the Metal Slug series, so when snap generator ran through those, I didn't get any video snaps of those games. I've since pointed GameEx to different version of Mame32, & all the games work fine now. but I don't have the video snaps for those that I missed. Is there a way to generate video snaps for just a few games without having to go back through all of the other games in the Mame set? Thanks!
