    Weird bug?

Sound's like an exception is happening, here's a debug version. Post the log after it happens. GameEx.zip
  2. No that's deffinitly not the case. The express edition is decent, much like most of the MS "Express" software.
  3. If you can post the log after a session where the speech stops working it would really help me out. Thanks
  4. No problem, let us know how you get on.
  5. Scroll down and......... [MOUSEMAPPING] # For registered users, the ability to control the mouse with a gamepad and/or directional keys. # For example for PC strategy games. # Apparantly this functionality is similar to the software Pinnacle profiler. Remember you can setup an emulator # as one PC game. Specify enabled, and mousespeed 0-20. 20 Being fastest. This setting overrides the directional # mapping for the above and buttons 1 and 2 Button 1/CTRL becomes left mouse. Button 2/ALT Right mouse
  6. You should see the addition of "PC Mouse V3.ini", no?
  7. Yeah, you probably need to do a manual install of GameEx from the website. Auto-Update has had issues for a while, although its fixed for next version.
  8. Just look at one of the existing configs. Just select one and click edit, its a setting in the emulator config. I'm pretty sure theres already one included with gameex for basic mouse control unless I neglected to include it in the install.
  9. If it stops working for anyone can you try and post the log to help me out? It works fine for me, just did a good test of attract mode still works fine for me. The speech plugin is really just so simple, it was only really developed for testing the functionality. I don't think I'll be expanding on it but will fix it if I can figure out any issues. The source code is included with GameEx in the plugins folder if anyone wants to take a look.

    Weird bug?

Is this for an emu or mame? I cant replicate this with the current version on my system. If you copied over your entire setup try deleting the map files in the data directory, so gameex can recreate the lists.
  11. OK, finally got it fixed for good now.
  12. Yeah, there still seems to be issues with it. I'm looking at it.
  13. Yes I will. Ruby, if your reading could you please tell me what exactly attract was doing, ie playing video, emulator or mame, and what you have it set it up to do. I've only tested with MAME.
  14. I was not aware it was not working with the latest versions. Since you did a manual update I guess no way to know.
  15. Yeah, I don't think its a really popular thing. I think its more for people with disabalities. I think when the technology improves, and it does not sound like a berzerk cab on steroids it will probably take off
  16. I guess it depends on three things. 1. Quality. 2. Permission. 3. And size. If there's a tick for all those, I'm all for it However they will remain Plugins, and not somehow get merged with the GameEx code, that's the whole point of this. Some may be included with the install though, and some may be integrated more closely meaining turned on by default and already configured. Who knows for sure, but I am very excited about the potential.
  17. I need to seriously clean them up, but I think its a good idea. I'll just add one for uploads, cant really support new .net programmers
  18. HK, do you want to add a pinned topic for this for both support and uploads?
  19. Thanks Ben. As he says folks
  20. 25th November, 2006 - GameEx 7.03 - This version of GameEx introduces a plugin system - There are three new plugins included and a new plugin manager application - There is a caller ID plugin and a password exit plugin both by Ben Baker - In addition a simple speech plugin which speaks the names of games is included - If you can code in .net you too can get involved, and this is something that I plan to extend to be able to allow complete modules to be coded for GameEx - A big thanks to Ben Baker who helped me imensly with all this and still is. Ben is also working on a LedWiz and LCD plugin that should be available shortly - For registered users there's enhanced internet radio with shoutcast browsing, 1000's of stations, and a favorites manager - GameEx setup wizard 1.52 by Ben Baker - Fixes prompting to update the game list everytime a configuration setting is changed - Fixes volume up for SlikStik users - Should hopefully fix create MAME videos for some users - The final stages of the GameEx install should now be quicker
  21. Yes, by creating an advanced emulator config.
  22. You may also be able to set them up as HTML applications in GameEx, although HK's find looks better.
  23. No way for now, although you can disable GameEx exiting with the Escape key. You can also turn off the map keys setting for the app or emu so it does not exit with escape.
  24. Glad you got it sorted. Just for folks info, answers to this and a lot of stuff are actually in the FAQ. Thanks, Tom
  25. Yeah, its spam, seem to be getting a real lot of it later. Seems to mostly go in the MAME Screensaver forum for some reason. It's a real pain because I have to take time to ban the users and delete the posts. Still, lifes still good
