Hi Notion, Welcome to the forum. I wanted to confirm currently this is not possible, but a few others have asked about this so I may implement it as a new feature.

In regards to the unhandled exception make sure your running the latest version.

Please post your log, and confirm which version of MAME your using. How are you trying to exit MAME?

Not sure yet, does that only happen when you try to create mame videos though, yes?

No worries, but its only supposed to do it if you change the MAME executable, not every single config change!

Hi and welcome. GameEx is supposed to be able to check if MCE is opened when running, if you have the settings enabled. You do sometimes get that error but then GameEx should close and relaunch MCE. Check the media center mode and the setting to check for MCE launch under tweaks/performance in the config app and let me know. Thanks, Tom.

Well, I just went to windows update as I know there about thirty million new security patches out, and its telling me IE7 is a high priority update. What's that about!? Way to roll out an app M$. Oh and if you've got a dodgy version of XP you can't download it, but if your legit and not too savvy your'll notice you have it now. Sorry but that just takes the piss to me, and is abuse of the update system. Any links anywhere to sites also thinking this is a bit off? I tried it on a new pc I setup for someone, seemed quite unstable to me, got an error and it crashed everytime I typed in yahoo.com into the address bar, unless I opened a new tab

The text animation is unrelated to the speed images appear, but you can speed up the showing of images under tweaks performance in the adv config app - Snap/Video delay.

Hi, There should be no problem saving the file, but how the key works depends on when you got it. Newer ones wont open unless gameex is installed. I think that may be where your getting confused. Newer ones also work on windows 98, but you have xp anyhow. If anyone has any kind of registration issues thats one thing I support directly one on one, so please email me if you still have problems. Hi Sam, HK is the one to answer this for you, what he (mostly him) and I are working on does potentially allow for other emulators, although of course we don't have the luxury of controls.ini.

Next to me HK has contributed the most, but everyone who contributes in any way gets a huge thanks from me. This community is great, and in my opinion an example of the internet working at its best. As always, if there's anything I can do to make it better please shout.

Did I forget to mention that the next version supports replicator hardware? HeadKaze is currently working on a plugin.

Hi Johny, can you confirm this is not something that used to work fine. I would also check video drivers, a defrag probably won't make a huge difference unless there incredibly fragged. Its odd as you say the menu transitions are slow too. This may be because GameEx is still playing the video although not displaying it (it does this until another item is selected). So I would check your FFDSHOW version, are you using the Sourceforge version from 2004 or a newer daily build. Try the latest daily build. Either that or your video drivers.

The Sound FX in GameEx have to be WAV's. Arcade Ambiance (Looping background sound) has to be a MP3.

Just to clear up a point, you don't need any codecs or ffdshow or MNGer to play MNG animations in GameEx, it has its own code to play MNG's. Im not sure why they are showing up black. Can you give some details on what happens when the create videos process is running, does the game show and do you see [Record Start]. Also I see your running an intermediate build of MAME, have you tried 0.108 normal release or 0.109. In addition are you running the latest version of GameEx. There was a fix to MAME videos a few versions back.

Actually GameEx can currently support up to about 300. There just not available in the configuration application. You can add them manually though in the ini file.
