  1. C'mon chaskas... This ain't your first jaunt around the block. Launch a game it's stuck on and then show us the log please.
  2. That an LCD? That's sweet!
  3. I doubt it. Probably need at least a dual core and 1 GB video RAM to make them playable but I'm not sure.
  4. Happy birthday Alpha! We miss ya bud!
  5. Yes that's OK.
  6. I don't think there's much to it really... but again I'm only just peeking at the SDK.
  7. Yeah you always need the parent ROM for them to run if that's what you're getting at. Like sfiiib requires the sfiii rom also.
  8. You can set a control panel image to show before the game starts. or you can look at the snap in-game using the '0' key. Is this what you're looking to do?
  9. I think its the insert coin key (5)?
  10. Ahh I wasn't thinking about HTPCs. Very good idea. No starbuck, this will be for GameEx menu navigation only. Aditionally I might have to ask Tom for a favor to make it work. I'm not sure yet.
  11. Hey everyone! I just picked up the Kinect SDK from DreamSpark while I was in there getting Server 2012 Datacenter, and have been poking around in the code. If I decide (and that's a maybe) to use the SDK to make an unofficial plugin for controlling GameEx's menu with it, would anyone be interested in using it? I'm not making any promises here, but it looks like I can probably achieve this pretty easily, but the plugin would have to be downloaded manually due to licensing restrictions. Thoughts / concerns / suggestions?
  12. If you do pitch it I want the X-Arcade stick (which of course I'd happily pay for), but don't parcel it out unless you have to (certainly not on my account). Lmk.
  13. Bwahahahahaha! You have way too much time on your hands null!
  14. Haha! Wtf?? Happy birthday!
  15. I like having them all play (I have found quite a few gems I wouldn't have found otherwise this way). After 5 days straight there can be 10 or more of these. Its a minor annoyance but an annoyance none the less.
  16. I just wanna jump in and say thanks for the props on the plugin. Users like you are the reason I enjoy making plugins in the first place. I'm flattered and honored that you find it useful. Glad you got it working koop! Have fun playing!
  17. A little more involved: ATTRACT MESSAGE: ATTRACT MODE! PRESS A KEY TO EXIT![-LF-][GAMENAME][-LF-][DEVELOPER] ([YEAR]) RESULT: EDIT: Without my toolbar blocking the view.
  18. Thanks to Tom's BIG 13.00 update, I added some functionality to the Attract Mode label! You can add variables to the Attract Mode message now. Here's an example: Attract Message: [GAMENAME]: DEMO MODE! Displays: Now that looks really cool IMHO.
  19. I also have this problem. I was thinking about trying to close it programatically if I can get the window handle but that'll only be in Game Info.
  20. Hmm. Try and re-download your MAME source code and compile it again. I've never seen this error personally.
  21. Boo shaaaa! Can't wait to play with the Screensaver Game Run event!! Thanks for the props everyone! And thanks Tom for a great plugin framework!!
  22. Nope you're right. MAME uses RAW input. I compile my own version for Xpadder support. I think Ben added a switch for this to his MAME compiler though.
  23. Run GameEx and post your log. It may be of some help here. Will definitely tell us if you have the right FW installed or not.
  24. Its stuck trying to load the game font. Not sure why that would be? Maybe you don't have that font installed in your machine?
  25. He's gotta have .NET 2.0 for GameEx to work at all. Its built on that framework. So it must be there if its working normally. Which means the InterOp must be based on FW 2.0, right? Maybe not but I don't think a 4.0 lib would work in a 2.0 environment. But I could be wrong.
