Font and license included. Please give it a try. I've spent a LOT of time on building this, and today this is the theme that I use myself on my HTPC! I've put a lot of love on it, so please enjoy ! For the real feeling of my theme I recommend using it with the music "Vintage Warmer, from Nathan Brody" this is the menu song for the game Grid from Codemasters. I wish to dedicate this to my beautiful wife!
  6. Also of note: I will have these themes added to the main entry thread before the contest is closed up for judging (I see I have a lot of work ahead of me with this flurry of entries). All you GameEx members feel free to try the entries out and "like" your favorites (you can vote on as many themes as you want). Your feedback will be considered! Thanks to all of you that participated I'm really looking forward to playing around with all of the entries. Not to mention that GameEx has a bunch of new looks to make it oh so much more fun! You're all winners in my book!
  7. Thanks Tom!
  8. Congrats to our latest MOM... HanSolo77! Ever since we started to honor the Member of the Month here at GameEx, it's becoming increasingly more difficult to select someone to honor. It's not because there aren't enough good members around to select someone, but quite the opposite! There are so many great members here, that it's hard to pick just one. I mean, I know that being a MOM is really more like being an intern, except it's harder to deliver the coffee. That doesn't mean we don't appreciate you all for everything you do that makes GameEx a mainstay for many. With that being said, it's rare that someone just comes right to the top and no one gives it a second thought. This is definitely one of those occasions. Does that mean the nomination is overdue? Yes, probably. Maybe that's why I was flattered to be offered the opportunity to make this announcement. If you've been around for a while, you know hansolo77 pretty well by now. Maybe you've taken a quick jab at him? Perhaps know his story, and how much he's overcome in his personal life to just be here? Or maybe you recall his work on getting some of the more obscure systems working and left his work for everyone to enjoy. He's always been there for help with testing when I've needed him, and I rarely hear him ask for much (if anything at all) in return. let alone offer help and insight to those who happen by. Very few people in life come along with such a helpful disposition and such brilliant advice. We're thankful to have one around. So without any further delay, we salute you hansolo77. Keep on keepin' on. Congrats buddy, you really deserve this honor.
  9. I was just going to ask what rom set that map file is based on... no-intro support only? Never knew it was even there!
  10. Thanks Tom and you're welcome everyone!
  11. Thanks everyone! Gonna hit up the sushi place and catch a movie with the wifey, then back to work tomorrow.
  12. The mind is the first thing to go around here! LOL!
  13. D'oh! Forgot about that (and I even worked on it! Lol!)
  14. Playing around a bit... Pressing SHIFT+SPACE will bring up the new Control Panel view during your game. You can specify your theme's CP background image in the theme's XML, and the viewer allows you to set a default panel to show if you don't have one specifically for that game (the name of the image must match the ROM name of course). The display stays up for 15 seconds, or until you hit SHIFT+SPACE again. Here's a shot of mine: Essentially I suppose you could put any image in there and it'll do the same thing, but it was really made for your controls screen. I'm thinking of adding a text reader form too for FAQs and whatnot. Maybe.
  15. There's also a plugin for Xpadder.
  16. Happy birthday!
  17. No reason you couldn't buy the registry key and email it to your friend... As long as it's paid for I don't see any reason why that wouldn't be OK. Thanks for the kind words, we work hard to make GameEx easier, but users like you make it shine.
  18. The diamond plate is great! Thanks for that link, I have negative space all along the bottom of my cab (it was a reclaimed cabinet) and the wood shows through the black right at the bottom edge. That would be the perfect finishing touch!
  19. You're sure its the right key? Its not the same as the activation key.
  20. Thanks buddy! Wanna start the new year on a good note.
  21. Updated to 1.0.4: Added string splitting to the "REPLACE" box Use ';' to seperate multiple replacement searches Added remove/replace/crop edits to MAP file importing routine Added some missing regions to the list format handlers You can get it from the built-in online update check or download it here.
  22. Updated to 1.0.5: Fixed a bug when login mode was selected Speed up for process launching A few code tweaks and optimizations
  23. Updated to 1.1.5: I probably wouldn't have put this out as an official version since it was only a couple minor bug fixes and I tuned up the LFM module for error reporting. I noticed the old version that comes with GameEx keeps being overwritten with 1.1.1 (which breaks compatibility with the monitor assignment fix I initiated in 1.1.2) when Tom updates GameEx, so before I had him add this into the GameEx install I wanted to make sure your build was current. This will be it for a while. Holidays, school, etc... Not gonna have much time to work on it (and what time I do have will go into adding the control panel viewer). Happy holidays!
  24. What codec?
  25. I got it today and the dl was fine for me.
