Is there any plans on having a 2013 or 2014 theme competiton? I would like to see what some people come up with.

My problem is that I hate windows. I would really hate to dualboot just for the purpose of gameex. oh well I may have too

Are you saying that GameEx will not run in virtualbox?

Ok, so I updated gameex version and it now loads. Tom if ok with you, I would like to use this thread to post any other problem I encounter. Then once it works, I would create a blog post of another post that gives step by step on how to install and configure

So I setup the game extender server and from another computer I am going to the webpage but its blinking like crazy. Any thoughts on what I need to do to get it to work? I am not sure the gameexternder has its own log. Thanks Running on Windows 7 64 bit, 8 GB of ram

So I am trying to get GameEx to install in Linux and when the installer comes up, it is telling me that I need to install MAC 2.8. What is this app so I can try to get this to work? Thanks.

Interesting, I do not see where my mame.ini file is. Wonder why I do not have one. Could it be cause I am using gameex?

So there are 5 files in there. hotrod,hotrodse,scorpionxg,slikstik, and xarcade. Looking in them all I am not seeing one that match what CPWizard is showing for the buttons. Am I confused on what cpwizard is using to know what keyboard keys go with which button?

I am wondering if mame stores it in some type of database.

How do I know which ctrlr is being used? I have tried to match my buttons up to mame and when I change the keycodes, blue lines come to point to other buttons. Thoughts

So GameEx is working great but I am curious on where the favorites are being stored? In the setup I set the Favorites file location but the file is 0kb. I attached my GameEx. I think I am ready at this point to build my own theme and wonder how I can preview my theme while creating it? Do I have to open gameex and check it or is there another way? Thanks

I would just think it would be cool if I had a friend over and he asked me, oh do you have this game or that, I could pull up a webpage and show him. I think in the data folder I saw something like a gamelist but unsure.

I would like to write a plugin that pulls the games that GameEx has and put them in xml format. My main object is to write a hook that a website can pull data from gameex to build on your own mame site. Also I would like to write something so I could write a mobile application to launch games. I am thinking of so many ideas on what I could do once I could get a web interface to interact with GameEX. Thoughts
