  1. This is pretty much the same stuff they pulled on the Atari 8-bit scene when they all but pulled out of the US market totally with the exception of lukewarm support for the Atari ST. Of course, they blamed piracy for the demise of 8-bit support but anyone that lived through and sees the history of the 80's knows that they failed to innovate until too late and the arcade console market crashed.
  2. That is sweet! Will be good to create some custom snaps to fill in some gaps!
  3. This has been corrected and you can download now from http://www.gameex.com/themes/Hexed.zip . Thanks!
  4. Wait for it and they will issue the same drive under the Maxtor name (or have they deep-sixed that brand since acquiring it?).
  5. Points well made. If this could be setup as noted and with features that could be easily and simply enabled/disabled through the Setup Wizard I have no issues with it at all!
  6. To be honest, I don't think that I would want to have everything viewed on one page, especially a large document! To be honest, I think that the design is less troublesome than adding such an option unless it could be setup to only view one page at a time fit to the screen. Another way around this is to download either the Nook or Kindle PC apps and load the manuals or other PDF docs into them. I have the apps setup to run as PC applications through GameEx and you can view one page at a time there with the entire page on in the view.
  7. Yes! +1 to Adultery's suggestion. Free ribeyes, too, please!
  8. For those that downloaded my theme, thanks! I omitted two foreground files you may wish to have. I am working to get the theme file corrected but, in the mean time, attached are the video and You Tube foreground files, Unzip them to your themes\Hexed\Media directory overwriting the files that are there. My apologies for any confusion! videobak and youtubebak_foreground.zip
  9. "Honey? Where is my super suit?" LOL!
  10. That is the "stock" visualization Aorta that comes with GameEx Jukebox.
  11. I would make sure you have the latest Adobe Reader installed. I then open a document and maximize it to fullscreen outside of GameEx. Next time I look for the same or other pdfs inside of GameEx and open, they seem to open fullscreen for me. Not sure if this is a fluke but seems that there is memory for the last time it was opened. Let us know if that helps.
  12. I have mine set to only use MAME and only from my favorites. Works best IMO.
  13. Hexed Theme is now released - read about it here!

  15. I don't think your landlord would agree with that sentiment!
  16. Would be cool to have an Android Emulator for running the Android games on the PC and through GameEx.
  17. Looks interesting and may take a closer look at it when I get a cab going.
  18. From time to time members of the GameEx forums are recognized for their hard work and contributions to the community, leadership, and making GameEx a better program. It is with great pride that I have been given the opportunity to recognize one of our users that has contributed greatly to GameEx and the GameEx community. This user is known for assisting Tom with corrections and additions to the Italian translations to various parts of GameEx and supporting applications. He is well-respected by the forum community at-large, having provided cheerful assistance to those new and old alike. He is always willing to lend a hand in updating the community with emulation news and, yet, does not come across as brash or boastful, but as humble and appreciative. Now that I have succeeded in putting half of you to sleep, please wake up and welcome AlphaUMi as our newest Elite Member! There is no secret handshake to teach you, nor a special decoder ring (I already asked once and was denied). Just the fellowship and recognition that is well deserved for your contributions! Congratulations, AlphaUmi !
  19. I found this article on ExtremeTech.com to be very interesting and thought it may be useful to those wanting to run Android apps on their Windows PCs. I have included a PDF for the same article if you want to have offline instructions available. Additionally, there is another program that should be released soon called Bluestacks that is not free, but looks promising for running a seamless application on the PC using a hypervisor (really a fancy word for a localised application-specific virtual machine). It will not be free, but may be less painful to setup and maintain than steps using the Android SDK as noted in the ExtremeTech article. Extremetech - Run Android Apps on Your PC.pdf
  20. Myg - Please provide a copy of your gameex.ini by zipping it and attaching it in reply. It is located in the \Gameex\Config folder. We may also need a copy of your log.txt file after you attempt to run an FLV video in GameEx. The How to ask for Help link in my signature gives some suggestions on what we may need in order to help you quicker. Thanks!
  21. It's possible that something did not write correctly to the gameex.ini when the update occurred.
  22. OK, uncheck Custom Menus ENabled in the Custom Menus app, then open Setup Wizard and verify if "Put MAME on Start Page" is enabled in the Advanced MAME settings "Menu Under Games."
  23. Open the Custom Menus application and make sure the Enable Custom Menus check box is checked.

  25. 12.07 went out today I believe (had a prompt to update at any rate).
