On older machines there are also some issues with onboard video setups as well. I think you got a double-whammy with the subsequent DirectX changes and driver compatibility. Sounds as if you have things under control now!

Not sure about Command Line support for WMP, but worth a go since WMP is an integral part of Windows Media Center for which GameEx can act as a plugin.

Shouldn't that be "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"? You show "[ROMPATH\]\[ROMFILE]" with the \ after ROMPATH in the brackets.

I have encountered errors when closing a theme (but not theme editor) and trying to reload the theme. Usually resolves by closing out and loading anew.

Please try running dxdiag and to test your PCs handling of DriectX. If you are getting these kind of results with the original driver and also the older driver, then the issue is likely not a driver issue and may be a matter of device failure in progress which will mean replacement of the graphics adapter.

@dudunkle - You may want to look at portions of this discussion thread. You will find a .pdf file for installing Daphne. I found it very useful in setting up my games.

If you want to try the pinball again, I think you would much prefer Future Pinball. I found it much easier to setup and without having to run any special loaders, etc.

The latest Direct3D will be included with the 9.0c version of DirectX as it is part of the DirectX API. I do not believe that you have the most recent driver for your card and OS and would recommend installing the nVidia Version 93.71 driver.

Bumping thread - will provide screen images if needed but do not feel that it will prove anything other than provide a pretty picture! This occurs regardless of if custom menus are enabled or not.

It's almost here... just a few minor tweaks and revisions! The one with the Jukebox Visualization is mainly to highlight a simple trick of applying a bevel to the volume images, then horizontally flipping the image onto itself, creating a somewhat "3-D" effect.

Have you checked for any firmware updates? It is possible mine has an updated firmware version. Also, you didn't note whether or not you tested it at your brothers or elsewhere to see if there was any change.

Not sure how big the ellipse is for the weather but keep in mind that wherever you place it to account for the size of the temperature and the icon for the conditions (the icons measure 93 x 93). That being said, positioning of the Weather element via Theme Editor will be crucial so that you can "contain" the temp and icon within your ellipse. I am not 100% if this image scales depending upon the amount of space allotted for the element in Theme Editor or "just is." Other than that - looking great!

Keep in mind that MAMEDev started making quite a few changes to the core on or about 0.142u3 build so I would not be surprised if you are seeing some new behaviors.

Can't confirm anything with Netflix as I am not a subscriber. If the issue you are having is with streaming, have you checked with your ISP? Also, if you are renting a modem from your ISP, it is possible it may not be functioning right.. hard to say.

Ours is the BD-C6500 - sorry to hear you have had so many problems with yours.

Hi Arjen - can you do me a favor and go into the \gameex\DATA\ directory and delete all files with cache in them? Then start GameEx again (it will rebuild the cache files). I want to see if it resolves the issue or continues. If it continues, download GameEx 12.06 from the website and do a regular install. Don't worry, it will not overwrite your configuration (but would not hurt to backup your gameex.ini and custommenu.ini files if using custom menus to be safe). Please let us know your progress one way or the other. Thanks! Mike

That sux. Our kids bought us a Samsung BluRay player and a 48 inch Samsung LCD for Christmas and they work great together and have yet to encounter any issues. If anything, it has outperformed our expectations. Have watched several video formats and mp3s at various bitrates without a hitch. The only time we had an error with a disk was a Redbox rental that was smudged and had a nice scratch in it. Was able to clean the disk and lost a few minutes of movie advancing to the next chapter and continued playing.

Not sure what level of support if any is provided for it. I would imagine that unless you had ROMs compatible with that latest build there could be other issues. It is unclear what OS and MAME version/build we are dealing with. Andy - can you provide a copy of your log.txt file and also let us know what version/service pack you are running for Windows, also what MAME version/build?
