I think that we need to establish whether or not he is able to run any ROMS in MAME at all with the Hantarex Polo connected. We will also need to know at what resolution is he trying to run it, etc. The arcade monitors usually require a lower res (max 640x480 at 15khz) and it is possible he may need a 3rd party software (for some reason the name Soft Res comes to mind) if the video card does not natively provide for it.

My Dell is a Q6600. Very reliable quad core machine. This is my main PC/HTPC for GameEx running Windows 7 Pro x64 with 8 GB of RAM. Wouldn't mind another one for running as a dedicated unit for either cab or HTPC.

You can also delete BlueBox Theme V2 and use mine instead! LOL!

You can remove PSD and XCF files. You can also delete background and foreground image files you do not need (they may be from custom menus that the author created for their own use or for systems you are not supporting in your own configuration). Same goes for logo files. To be honest, since I find myself continually tinkering and adjusting things, I usually keep the PSD and XCF files at least, and purge the custom or system backgrounds/foregrounds that I am not using or will not use.

DJ - nVidia has some cards out that also carry sound through HDMI. Getting to be pretty much standard. I have a Galaxy GeForce GT 440 with 1GB DDR3 on PCIe that does this. Cool card actually since it supports HMDI vid/sound, DVI out, and VGA out.

Very good! I would recommend completing a comprehensive logo pack. Create a Logo Pack folder, then, for ease, you can have them categorized under folders as you have them grouped now (Social Media, Internet Music, etc.) within the Logo Pack folder. Once complete, zip the Logo Pack folder - this will compress all the files in the folders together in the one zip file. You can then contact Tom and let him know that you would like to upload a comprehensive logo pack for inclusion on the main site under the Media & Images section. He will send you instructions on how to send to him. This way, all can have access at a centralized location!

@Krake - I think you are well on your way and thanks for the compliment! I knew you had it in ya, you just needed to be denied a little! As my ex-mother-in-law was fond of saying.. "It's better to want than to have." My ex-wife hated it but I knew what she meant. It means through want or desire, we are more appreciative when we achieve something through our own efforts and we are diminished when we are just given something. As for one at a time or in a pack, I think a pack is the way to go and preserve the legacy that you created for all to enjoy so long as there is a GameEx around. Occasional sneak peeks are cool, however!

@Krake - I see you are a fan of the reflections! Looks pretty good so far! I have probably tinkered with Paint.NET sometime in the past. You will have to tell us a little about what it is capable of!

I can accept that - I can come across a little SA once in a while, but I try to watch it as there is a greater audience that we want to attract to these forums and this software. We also do not have the benefit of seeing one's devilish smirk or winking and nudging from the other side of the keyboard. But dangit, dude, give us a.) A chance to respond. You may be right in that we are not running the same setup or even the same emulators/systems as you, b.) To say we are slow on the help to me is a slap in the face. There is nothing in being an Elite, Moderator, or Admin that guarantees any forum member instant or 24 hour or less response. I think it's fair to say that we generally do so with a great many issues because we have a desire to help and learn ourselves. Pretty good work, Han! So that the purpose of this thread doesn't get off-topic much further, I ask that discussions of game pad functionality, etc. be taken to another, more appropriate thread. I understand that we all get side-tracked and segue to another topic quite easily. That being said, there is really only this thread speaking to the topic of image and theme editing specifically and a great many addressing hardware and emulators. Thanks!
