null - All, I have created a backdrop element that I will be including with my theme based upon the XArcade Tankstick to augment this great controller image kit! I have also created a generic "PCB schematic" to go along with it.

I know I am going to sound like my parents and grandparents by saying this, but since the government has stepped in and says we can't dole out corporal punishment to our children, they no longer have fear of consequences. I am not suggesting beating a kid with the buckle end of a strap or anything like that, but sometimes you have to get to the "seat" of the matter to get their attention. After a certain age, it doesn't work as well so taking away things or making them work it off is the next step. Even then, there are those that have a skewed moral compass that will never point north.

I believe BFMulator runs as any other emu will through GameEx - pretty well actually.

At 14-15 years of age, the apology should come from the kids. When I was growing up and I did something bad (i.e. winging some discarded Carpenters LPs like frisbees only to have one of them break and stick in the vinyl roof of a neighbor's Caddy ) we had to do something to help that person out to repay our debts. When I was able to stand (about a week later after my dad's punishment wore off), I had to help them with chores around the house, emptying and scrubbing out their garbage pales, vacuuming out the car I assaulted, etc. for a few weeks. I am sure the labor I performed did not cover the cost of repairing that vinyl roof, but the lesson I learned was priceless.

90% of problems in my life outside of my control have to do with family (close and extended). Sorry to hear that it turned out that way. I don't know how your insurance will work with regards to the laptop, but, if possible, you may be able to save the HDD and either recover anything you need for backup and format over it and use it as an external backup drive (enclosures are cheap and plentiful). I am glad that they were able to recover most of it for you. I think the little buggers need a stint working some community service some place that will stick in their memories for a long, long time.

Glad you got this issue resolved. I edited the title accordingly and also reflected in the title the true cause of the issue since it was a corrupt data.mdb file and not the video card as originally suspected.

Sad none the less that someone works hard for something they desire and others don't or hardly work at all and take what they desire. Wait! That sounds like a politician!

I believe that Tempest's Skinny Match (Check the User Projects Forum for this and other great plugins and apps from our users) would be the first tool I would recommend. You may find that you will need to edit a few file names manually, but it is a tool that I swear by and have never had to swear at.

Add to that any power requirements (and they do draw power, even on the cheaper pads with no lights) and you dwindle down from theory even more. Modern PCs get around the IRQ issues much easier than legacy devices. USB hubs can take on up to around 147 devices via a single port through daisy chaining multiple hubs, however, I would hate to see the throughput numbers on such an arrangement.

Is this the only document you have created with PDF Converter Pro that you have tried to open from within the eBook reader? I have run into problems with other conversion programs in the past. If not,. please test this out on a smaller file and see if you run into the same issue. If so, you may want to try CutePDF.

Have completed 90% of the core logos total and about 30% completion of Console logo conversion. Still quite a ways to go with Manufacturer, Handheld, and PC System logos. Well did they get the buggerers and the laptop?

Most of that is in your GameEx.ini file. Some things, such as Favorites, reside in the data.mdb, however, if the file is corrupt, those are gone anyways.

I thought about that and will provide the .xcf and.psd files in case someone is really interested in using the original, but I think that this one, once you have a chance to see it in action, will make you forget the original pretty quickly. Ultimately, while I try to keep the end-user in mind, I have to be happy with what I am doing for myself! If the end-user likes it after it is released, then awesome! If not, they will move on to something else, or, even better yet, create something of their own! I like that idea even better. OK, gonna release a POS theme now just to encourage someone to do me one better! The difference is between the selector bar in the post with the two images for the white vs. blue tint in the logo file and the post following Adultery's response.

One more thing for you to try. Move the data.mdb file elsewhere, then download the latest version of GamEx and install from the .exe. This should rebuild the data.mdb file. If you have a problem after that, then we are not likely looking at a corrupt data.mdb file but a component that is required to read it.

Alrighty then - now with a new selector bar. It has a slight flickering florescent bulb like effect as the gradient shifts up and down vertically.

The data.mdb file should be replaced. You should have another data.mdb file in the \gameex\data\backup folder. Copy that one to the \gameex\data\ folder and attempt to run GameEx again. Let us know if that resolves the problem.

OK, I get it, you and a few others are not fans of the bar. I have been considering some other ideas for it if that helps ease your mind a little! LOL! So what do you think about the changes to the logo and the background?

Have to agree with Adultery on this one regarding the error not being an issue with graphics rendering, however, I would also recommend going to the video card manufacturer's website and verifying that you have the latest driver for your card.

Alright, I modified the post here and added a second capture with the blue tinted "glare" layer- I think the blue tint makes for a marked improvement over the first and gels better with the theme. Your thoughts?

Thanks, guys! I am still experimenting with the layers for the foreground/background images as well as with the logo images themselves. While I like the gloss/glare effect over the logos along with the slight transparency, I am considering re-working it to be more inline (slight bluish tint) with the rest of the theme. This will delay the release, but I want to get it as right as possible. I have a ways to go on the logos and will probably send out some requests for logos for some of the older PC systems and handhelds in the very near future. I still intend to release the logo packs at the same time I release the theme.

Not a problem! That is the direction I was leading you by asking for the affected ROM names. Glad you were able to solve it!

OK, will probably need to know the names of the ROMs in question as well.
