  1. I usually open GameEx windowed and Ctrl+PrtScrn, paste it into whatever image program I use (GIMP most of the time), save it and then attach to a post within the thread using the upload option in the full editor (under More Reply Options).
  2. I would like to suggest, whenever possible, if you are able to find a link for a request on the web, use the post editor to link to the media. This will help to save storage resources.
  3. I went ahead and pinned this topic so those with an interest can find it easy to post their Theme Contest submissions! I have hopes of seeing some new ones from Krakerman, kaceyrayclare, Vsilvalopes, Chazz, naborneo (Hint - Hint! Yeah, guys, I am calling ya out! ) and others real soon!
  4. Great! Let us know if you require any assistance or how it works out for you. The Gamebase projects are a little under discussed and documented in these parts and it is good to know if it is a worthwhile option to go that path as opposed to others.
  5. @csnells2000 - Were you able to resolve the errors based on the last response from Adultery? Please let us know one way or the other - thanks!
  6. @ IMBerzerk - Have you upgraded to 12.78 and, if so, has the issue you reported in this thread been resolved? If not, please submit a copy of your most recent log file following any error. Thanks!
  7. Have you looked into GambaseST? I understand it uses STeem and has everything in one nice package. Also, you have the option to enable Gamebase support via GameEx. I have not set this up myself, but I know that there are quite a few that use Gamebase setups for C64, Atari 8-bit and the like through GameEx with great results.
  8. @CT - Are any of your impacted emulators setup with launch before or after settings? @Adultery - will this have any impact on the plugin's behavior if so, or should the plugin override?
  9. Thanks both! Yeah, I got the 8-bit sounds sorted. Appreciate the assist!
  10. Reworked a few more logos...
  11. I have managed to procure some good 8-bit tunes and sfx for the theme. Since I am working on this theme and the logo pack concurrently, I have decided to rework the logo pack to an extent so that it will integrate a little better with the theme. It will mean a little longer working on the theme and a bit of a delay on the logo packs, but it will be worth the extra effort in pulling off a cohesive theme.
  12. Awesome job, Ray!
  13. OK, now can we stuff the Tempest in the teapot?
  14. Try Disney World.
  15. I found a copy from a Coleovision box here. Having not seen the ones you have found, not sure if it is even close.
  16. Hey Chaos - Would you mind sharing with us your emulator configs for both Left 4 Dead and Smash Crusade?
  17. I think I am going to have to "Tivo" the games myself. There are constant commercial interruptions and watching the video clips courtesy of NBC (Not British Chaps) are rife with them and are piss-poor edits with nasty cuts. At least I can FF through the commercials when I record on DVR.
  18. Will have to wait for the "Windoze" port for the app..
  19. Did you explore the options in the menu bar? I am at work so do not have the app to reference the exact location, but you should be able to locate it within one of the options to enable descriptions or somewhat similar verbiage.
  20. That is correct. Some of the themes are from another version so, in essence, you have to convert it to a supported version. In doing so, the defaults are set and have to be modified to enable or disable some features. To convert, you would have to "Start a new theme" and reference the theme you wish to modify. You will give the new theme a distinct name that is not the same as the original.
  21. First, if it is appearing in a theme, you should "Load an existing theme" as opposed to "Start a new theme." When you start a new theme, it does not retain all of the "parent" theme's default options. Locate that option in the same area you enable/disable Weather, Title, etc. in Theme Editor.
  22. You can disable the weather icon from showing up under Edit>Options and uncheck the Display Weather option. In a theme that does not have Image2 showing, it is best to use the Theme Editor and poke about a bit. I usually leave it enabled but shrink the size to 0 width/0 height and move the X and Y coordinates to a location outside of the resolution (ex: if 800x600 theme, may be at X 801 and Y601). To restore in those cases, you have to locate the Image2 entry within the theme editor or theme.ini and give the width/height larger than 0 and change the X and Y coordinates to a location within the theme's resolution. If via the theme.ini, be sure to save it then open in theme editor to confirm, then resave. The Start page should show by default, unless one is using Custom Menus. You cannot delete the top menu but you can place it outside of the theme's resolution as noted in my answer to #1. Some settings can be disabled via Setup Wizard if you do not want certain options visible. Not possible. No, however, several have requested this as an enhancement/feature request.

    Inkscape

That is my understanding as well, although I cannot speak from experience.
  24. I actually downloaded it and played a little - may end up using some effects generated. For the introsound.mp3 I want to use an actual 8-bit music file. Will continue to explore a bit to see what I come up with. I know that there are a few sites about where people have converted popular songs to an NES 8-bit sound, however, I am partial to Atari 8-bit POKEY tunes.
  25. OK, so far as the theme goes, getting into the home stretch. Since this has a bit of a retro feel to it, was thinking I need to use retro sounds as well. Anyone know a good source of free 8-bit sound clips?
