  1. Are you using the command line version or mame32 or mame64 (GUI versions in 32-bit or 64-bit flavors respectively)?
  2. I hope you meant mollified... LOL! Nullified would mean she ceases to exist or null has some 'splainin' to do!
  3. That was my initial goal, but, as finances tightened and other things in our life began taking a higher priority, I was lucky "Mrs. Claus" got me an X-Arcade Tankstick for Christmas. That being said, she was warm to the idea of a hybrid HTPC-gaming platform. It will still take some time to get all of the requisite components in place, but I think it will end up better in the long run. Besides, since the same display will also be home to the 360, she will get use of it to play Dead Island or team with my for some Guitar Hero! I love my wife!
  4. Glad to see you about and that you found a job you can enjoy! Looking forward to your themes and seeing you about more!
  5. Not being able to see your mame.ini file, gonna guess that you may not have told MAME in your setup options the file path to your bezels. Can you confirm this?
  6. The correct path is \GameEx\MEDIA\BEZELV2 and you have to name the bezel mame.png for it to show. If you want to rotate the images that show, you can use a program by Tempest called The Randomizer to do so.
  7. Found this.. thought it was cool!
  8. I think a map that drills down to the postal code level would be the most I would recommend. EmuMovies has one that maps based upon the city/stat/country you input as part of your profile.
  9. Be sure to place an entry in the Theme Competition!
  10. There are some things that are better left in the past. Besides, that Jeri Curl stuff is flammable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feW9WPUnB8s
  11. I have to say that I like the triple monitors housing the various displays of text and graphics - very classy!
  12. Thanks for reporting this. I have flagged this thread for Tom's attention to review.
  13. I guess we can all get hung up on semantics a times. I know in being a tech myself that certain buzzwords carry a distinct meaning to me. Fix\Patch - Corrects an acknowledged short-coming, error, or malfunction within software. Workaround - Not a solution to an error or short-coming within software. Usually involves taking steps outside of the documented norm to resume intended function. Enhancement - Adds increased or additional functionality to an existing feature set. Feature - A documented capability for software or hardware. Update - Somewhat vague. Can be any of the above with exception of workaround. In supporting software, since not all programs (including GameEx ) can do all things, you could possibly consider it a feature that it allows for certain workarounds to occur until such time that an acknowledged enhancement is included in a future update to fix a perceived error or shortcoming.
  14. Thanks for sharing. So pretty much an individualized setup since Catalyst Control Panel can only be used if you have an ATI GPU installed. I would imagine it possible with nVidia's CP, but it seems like too much going around one's arse to get to one's elbow for my tastes. Maybe Tom will come up with a simpler unified solution for utilizing more than 2 monitors.
  15. Awesome, now I ask in the name of all that is Holy and for the benefit of the other users that may be interested - how did you make it work?
  16. Hi Tim - welcome to the forums. I have noticed a few posts where you have asked for assistance but it doesn't seem that you are doing much searching through the forums before asking for assistance. I found this link to a post regarding running Karafun through GameEx as an emulator instead of the built-in karaoke feature in about half the time that it took for me type this reply. While we don't mind lending assistance and welcome new users with open arms, we like to encourage a little "self-service" of the available knowledge. If you get stuck along the way, we are here. Likely, this is as far as the integration with Karafun is to likely get as GameEx offers the feature already.
  17. Thanks guys!
  18. It definitely adds more bulk and time to the theme. I will likely just include the schematics for the systems that I use/plan to use which will not be enough for those that emulate every system known to mankind. Sorry to have hijacked the thread and you don't have to add anything to your already cool contribution! BTW you need to submit a theme based upon your design elements for this pack - seriously!
  19. Great job, Ray! For a first time theme I would have to say you knocked this one out of the park! Upload it as Tom has suggested! I am also going to move this to thread to the User Projects forum!
  20. Well, if dependent upon the home-loop back to display on a second monitor, well, you are limited to the one address (this is an internet protocol issue and there is only one IP address for such). Again, a feature request and something that would require a major rewrite of the display engine or expansion of the plug-in system. Will have to see what Tom or Headkaze have to say.
  21. I have been creating logo files for the Apple-Bandai Pippin for a while. Not sure if there are any emulators in active production for it (other than maybe MESS).
  22. I just hope Rio does a better show than they did at the close of the 2012 Olympics. I mean, WTF where those chicks wearing? Looked like neon conestoga wagon wheels landed on their heads! The only thing I got from the whole production was Pele.
  23. Thanks! I speak typonese fluently!
  24. Happy birthday! If not for my internet access being spotty at best today, I would have been glad to have roasted you. Actually, roasting may not be what I would have had in mind. Basting & broiling sounds better. Yeah, with plenty of garlic and butter - go all Paula Dean on your behind! I hope your day was a great one!
  25. I think to achieve what you are seeking would go outside the intent of GameExtender, which is also setup to send data to view/control via a smartphone, etc. As Adultery noted, this is a client/server application. When dealing with sending data to 127.0.0.1 (home loop back) there is only one address. I believe that a totally separate display module would have to be developed to utilize multiple monitor selections that exceed 2. Not that it is impossible, but likely improbable from a GameExtender perspective.
