  1. I believe that the spin axis is hard-coded within GameEx, so anything to allow for adjustments of this would require a feature request.. It might be possible to adjust the view so that image spins at a different angle relative to the axis within models prior to conversion.
  2. That being the case, then you need to make a feature request.
  3. ...and pick up your socks.. DAMMIT!
  4. All - I hope you don't mind, but I split out the posts that were within Couselev's Steam Guide thread into their own topic. I feel that the work and discussion here warranted it's own focus separate from the fine work Couselev created. Carry on, Sirs.
  5. You can set that for each emulator in the Advanced Emulator configuration in Setup Wizard. There is an option to point to whatever image you wish to use for those not found. You have to do this for each emulator.
  6. It should be fine, however, if not, please post in a new thread any issues you encounter - thanks!
  7. I would recommend reading through the pinned thread for the 3D Models for GameEx as there are some very specific steps that must be followed to convert from the Sketchup format to .x file format. Some models simply will not convert or convert nicely.
  8. Thanks!
  9. You should be able to use GIMP or Photoshop to save in whatever format is needed. I would download GIMP, load the image, then save it again.
  10. Because ours are bigger!
  11. I think you will find that most with cabs will use a combination of a Control Panel for arcade favorites and game pads for consoles and handheld emulated games and those PC games that support them.

    Hello

    Welcome!
  13. Venomouse - you may want to grab a copy of this image so that you can have it as a reference for the various aspect ratios and the corresponding pixel sizes attributed to each. When creating an image for display, should you create one larger than your screen displays, that will be no problem provided that your image's aspect ratio is the same as your screen's maximum. An example would be working with a 1920 x1200 image and displaying on a 1680 x1050 screen. Since the proportions of height vs width are the same, there will be no distortion when the image is shrunk as both share the same aspect ratio of 16:10. The same would hold true if you reverse the example pixel sizes - creating a 1680 x 1050 image and upscaling to a 1920 x 1200. The proportions (height vs width) are still the same. The caveat to upconverting is that, unless the image is scalable (i.e. a scalable vector graphics - SVG - format) you will encounter pixlation of the image.
  14. Both are still supported, even for the data.mdb/data.db3 files. This is not likely to change anytime in the near future. I would imagine that, eventually, a move totally away from .mdb will occur.
  15. Tom made the change to SQLLite from Access so that the data would work cross-platform. GameEx has a MAC OSX version that is compatible through WINE.
  16. Necromancyr - No defensiveness was given or intended, seriously. However, I will exhibit some now. I, along with others in the forums, have been more than helpful and reasonable in attempting to assist you in answering your questions. When you get a response that is counter to what you feel things should be, you complain or respond with a snarky comment. I have overlooked much, but it almost always ends up the same with you. Constructive criticism is welcome and requests are great. I have never suggested for you to "like it and shutup." I will suggest, however, that you show me, as well as others, a little more respect.
  17. The fact that you have one emulator front end basically supporting the functionality through it for another emulator front end is actually pretty cool. I think it may be a bit much to ask for GameEx to do it all. At least you have a few options with which you may work. I don't know of any other front end that gives as much support to another's functionality. I know that there may be some changes eventually that may allow for a little more flexibility, but the details are few at the moment as there are more important things to address - so stay tuned!
  18. Happy B-day and thanks, Tom!
  19. That is pretty cool.. would it be enabled via Setup Wizard in the same location as Ultrastick support?
  20. I have it on my FB page as well. I did a little GIMP magic to make it appear he was talking to Mini-Obama sitting on the chair. Of course, the kid doesn't want to hear the truth and is showing some 'tude. I, for one, will vote for "time out" for him on November 6th!
  21. There is Tempest's Randomizer plugin that works well for this request.
  22. Not skinable except for theme font. You can disable that via the Setup Wizard. Tom added, with cooperation of Emu Movies, the ability to automatically scan and download the image paths to download missing ROM titles and snaps free of charge up to the max daily limt for a free account.
  23. Hi Sledge! Welcome to the forum! That is way cool! You may want to make a post within the Features & Enhancements Requests thread as well. In the mean time, I have sent a PM to the GameEx authors so that they are aware of this request as I am sure it will generate some interest in the community.
