Odd. You sure there isn't a video yet? Can you put your log and ini file after you select a table and pressed "v" ?
-
No. Sorry dmdext.exe with dll is needed for pinball wicket(mirror option). For visual pinball you only need dll and ini
-
I thought it was default, but cjeck your settings.exe Do you have ffmpeg.exe in your pinballx directory? Thats needed too Check the log after you pressed "v"
-
Vpinball doesn't use the dmdext Exe file. So yes. Put that in another directory with the dll and ini and you don't messup your vpx tables

Go back to the download site, click "changelog", select previous version and download -
Maybe a stupid question, but what is the benefit to use noxplayer instead of the windows versions ? Is the android version better ?

Bally - Champion Pub - animated backglass
Mike_da_Spike replied to ImagineVP's topic in PinballX Media Projects
Well. Within game manager you can also import them. De-select the "online" checkbox (sometimes a check and uncheck is needed), at the table select the backglass video, browse to the video the @ImagineVP created and it will be copied to the correct folder. If you want to use the video in game too, uncheck the "hide backglass" . This will not hide the backglass video during gameplay Hope it makes sense -
No problem Hope you got your power pc up and running soon.

This is the guide that helped me a lot. Including the videos. http://vpuniverse.com/forums/tutorials/article/5-complete-virtual-pinball-guide/ The versions mentioned are a bit outdated. Use latest versions. Start, if you want, with the visual pinball part. Thats the difficult part of all, but the most tables. First do the setup correctly: Map keys/buttons to what you want. Dont bother about exit. Pinballx will take care of that. Twice pressing Q is fine. Set your graphics correct of your playfield. This is very important. I use vsync to get a stable 60 fps. Even with 300 fps the tables seems to stutter (took me almost 7 months to fine tune) Set your backglass correct (one time setup). Choose a correct folder structure for your tables. I prefer a vpx folder and a vp9 folder to seperate all. Don't get to enthusiastic to but all tables in different folders. Pbx is difficult to configure. I keep the name of the directb2s file the same as the vpx file. So you always have the correct backglass with your table file. If table file change, just replace it and rename directb2 file again Setup pinmame correctly and test it. All in the next document http://vpuniverse.com/forums/tutorials/article/5-complete-virtual-pinball-guide/ Good luck with your adventure !

If you have any technical skills and knows how computers/software/files/folders/registry etc is working, then you should definitely read about visual pinball and how it works. If you don't have a clue what I mean, you should follows @Carny_Priest his advice. In both ways: start with the emulator itself and tries to launch tables from the commandline. If you get this to work, you can start adding the commands to pbx and get it automated and have a nice interface I will love to help you with all of that, but you need to be open for it

Sure ! Any suggesting is welcome (must wait till the weekend to change the code). Do you use the latest version of my exe ? I see in your example that the Williams logo misses a piece on the right. Thats a piece of code I fixed last weekend and changed the way of complete the MP4's .

New take on "Animated Backglasses"...
Mike_da_Spike replied to ImagineVP's topic in PinballX Media Projects
I'm not sure, but thought there is a download limit. Had it in the past too, but needed to wait 24 hours and I could downloaded it again. Finally I donate money to Spesoft, for the fantasic free Pbx frontend, this forum, unlimited storage on ftp and gameexonline, so they can develop and get the site up and running. Not saying that everybody should do it, but thats what I did to get unlimited downloads. -
You can also launch the table manually (via pbx) and hit the "V" key on the keyboard to start video recording. When it is finished, it will go back to pbx and you can launch the next video

Just a short notice if you have a pinDMD3 and a Teensy 3.2 with an octo28 adaptor. When installing both in your cab, the pinDMD3 didn't show anything in PBX All tables worked fine, but not in PBX. Both are Teensy boards, but my DMD was on com5 and the Teensy 3.2 on com3 the pinDMD_log.txt in the pinballX fodlers shows : dll version: REV-pinDMD3-01006 locating device: PASS (COM3) creating connection: FAIL (COM3) pinDMD3 enabled: FALSE This should be com5. Solution : Create a pinDMD.ini in the pinballX folder with the following : [communication] debug=1 comport=COM5 [pinmame] log_frames=0 This will force PBX to use your pinDMD3 on COM5 Copy this file also to your Visualpinball\XDMD path to have ultraDMD working

[RESOLVED] Pinball FX3 shuts down when process to monitor is entered
Mike_da_Spike replied to Robert.jolly's topic in General
Check (my) ftp. Multiple isers posted there. Xml, Wheels, back videos and playfield videos. I have also created real dmd videos. Use also doflinx so you have backgrounds (and eventually got your toys to work) -
Sorry. Didn't noticed that. I see in the ini that monitor 0 and 1 (playfield and backglass) both starting at x=0 and y=0. Maybe thats causes what @scutterssaw in the log file that both where captured as pkayfield. As I sayd before, I prefer the Captures from gforce experience, because of the higher fps for high resolutions And take the advice of @Draco1962. Make backups of jour cab. Including registry (pinmame). That saves you a lot of time if something is happening
-
good catch. Didn't notify it. Thats why the pinballx.ini would be handy

Hi All. I put on the FTP (/-PinballX-/Other Uploads/MikeDaSpike/Arcooda Pinball Arcade) my 4k playfield attract mode videos from The pinball Arcade in Arcooda mode. Also my XML and backglass (full HD) are posted. Don't have nice real DMD's yet. The wheel images (hexagon images) where already posted by @cevo , but I also put it on my FTP so you have 1 package for downloading Link to FTP (in browser)

[RESOLVED] Pinball FX3 shuts down when process to monitor is entered
Mike_da_Spike replied to Robert.jolly's topic in General
Are you running pbx as admin ? Right click pinballx.exe, Properties -> Compatibility -> Run as administrator check box -
You runa pretty old version of pbx (3.28) . Please upgrade If you use 4k playfield,y ou can setup also your nvidia driver (with pbx) to captures videos, but a big bug in nvidia driver is that portrait screens (like pinball arcade, are wring setup of fx3) are captured wrongly.
