I was just thinking .. You can import the database XML files easily in Excel (<pinballx folder>\databases\). If the video names matches the name as in Excel (as it should be), you can do extract this list, do a copy of all those Video's to a subdir and it is cleaned

[RESOLVED] attract mode started crasing and rebooting my pc
Mike_da_Spike replied to pcx1's topic in General
I don't see anything in the log about the crash. Can you check you windows eventlog (application) and check if you find an application error (eventid 1000) -
You can ask for a future request in : Personal I had the same. So added a hidden feature in a tool I just posted. It will scan the pinball 9 and pinballx directory. I check if the filenames exists in the xml directory. If not it will delete those I think Tom changed last year on the file name creation, because it deleted some older videos but re-create those. But I won't dare to share it, because it can delete too many files in those dirs. Sorry....

PinballX doesn't save the nvram when using "alternate exe"

The Db2 files can be moved to the new folder. or if multiple tables use the same B2Sfiles you need to copy it. -

Good catch ! that was a bug. I completely forgot to write that part in the new XML Version 0.8b uploaded with the fix. And I started to separate the files (Recently Added.xml & Recently Modified.xml) . Still not 100%. I check on the file (if exist) when it is modified. A new file can have a higher modified date. So if a file exist a new file can be added to modified XML. But only if there is a file ! Need to think of a better way. I have some idea's, but need more time to think about it Uploaded 0.9b Note : An file that is being replaced by a new file is identified as a new file (because it is new). Need to find a way to identify this as a modified file- 48 replies

PinballX doesn't save the nvram when using "alternate exe"
Mike_da_Spike replied to E36M3ZF's topic in General
I have split my tables in seperate folders. All vp9 in a folder and vpx. Within pbx i create (as @scutters mentioned) an extra section. Let the vpx.exe point to the vpx path and the vp9.exe to vp9 path In the next post I explained it a while ago -
Not a default in pbx as I thought. Normally you just want to add something and deleting an issue. Not sure if you can make programs/scripts, but read the xml, check if the name exists, if so crwate a new xml with those entries and skipp the rest. How many vp9 tables are left?

Hmmm ... I thought i should get this question someday. I prefer to have all in the same list (but the text in pbx was too long for "Recently Added/Modified" It will make a lot of xml files and noticed that I cannot hide them in game manager. Do not have much time, but let me think about- 48 replies

Not sure if this is the correct place to put this, but I want a game card in my signature, but I don't have the game card option on online.gameex.com I s it becauseI don't have a png like : http://http.online.gameex.com/gamecards/pinballx/mike_da_spike___pinballcab.png ? (and how do I get a png there ?) Checking other users I can see the game card option
-
It's not a database file itself ,but it is in the Statistics.ini under the folder databases If the entry favorite=True than it is in your favorites

PinballX doesn't save the nvram when using "alternate exe"
Mike_da_Spike replied to E36M3ZF's topic in General
I don't follow you exactly. What do you mean with alternate exe ? VPT files are handled by the VPinball995.exe and VPX files by Vpinballx.exe So setting up 2 "systems" in PBX. 1 for handling all your tables for vp9 tables and 1 for handling VPX tables. Dus is all works outside PBX ? Can you provide your PBX log file and your settings file ? -
[RESOLVED] Capturing Fx3 Playfield are rotated and streched

[RESOLVED] Capturing Fx3 Playfield are rotated and streched
Mike_da_Spike replied to Mike_da_Spike's topic in General
Thanks @joyrider3774! sorry, misread your post. Never checked the cabinet option in FX3 since all was working fine, but now I don't rotate the screen before I launch, but rotate in FX3 to 270degrees That seems to fix this ! Cost me almost whole day to figure out ! I knew about gamexonline and that I can stream and shutdown the PC (for some reason these function won't work. Same as play table ..) But the gamecard option is not present -
[RESOLVED] Capturing Fx3 Playfield are rotated and streched
Mike_da_Spike replied to Mike_da_Spike's topic in General
I use DC.exe to rotate the screen and tried to start in portrait and landscape mode. but no luck. Tried the next things : Start PBX in Portrait mode (via windows) and Rotate Display for FX3 to Yes - result : Video stretch Start PBX in Landscape mode (via windows) and Rotate Display for FX3 to Yes - result : Video stretch Start PBX in Portrait mode (via windows) and Rotate Display for FX3 to No - result : Video created in landscape mode (wide screen) Start PBX in Landscape mode (via windows) and Rotate Display for FX3 to No - result : Video created in landscape mode (wide screen) I'm now trying to resize the stretched video's and rotate it, so it is showing fine in the display To be continued .... Btw @joyrider3774 , how did you get the signature created ? -
When using Game manager to capture Playfield and Backglass videos, the videos from FX3 will be streched and 90degrees rotated I capture the video's with the Geforce driver, but only for FX3 I see that the videos are captured in the sub dir Desktop instead of Pinball FX3 So looks like that PBX thinks that it is in desktop mode instead of cabinet (portrait) mode I only have this with FX3. Rest of the video's are captured correctly. Tried the rotate function from the settings menu, but no luck I'm pretty sure that I could capture the video's in the past fine PinballX.ini [SETTINGS].log log.txt Here are 2 foto's from the cabinet : During capturing : Within PBX (see the text on the right. That should be at the bottom) Anyone knows what I do wrong ??

The log shows a gracefull exit and not a crash. Can you check the windows eventlog on app crashes, to see what module crashes ? Maybe try the 32bit version of pbx. I'm having w10 64bit, but run the 32bit version of pbx, because addins where not working in the 64bit

[RESOLVED] ROMS no longer playing in attract mode after upgrade to v3.42
Mike_da_Spike replied to pgheyd's topic in General
Please attach your pinballx.log file. The logfile you attached it from dmddevice. And post it as attachment as Draco1962 mentioned, not as plain text. Btw. I dont use the pinmame in frontend, but are the next lines correct ? HidePinMAME=TrueUsePinMAME=True Looks like it enabled itself and hide it... -
The version you use, is for putting the backglass to the back to have pinupplayer set to top of the screen. The older (original) version is put the b2s on top by default, but than the pinupplayer wont work. Maybe a request at the developer to set the default on top will help you
-
Pinballx is a front end and makes the screens black, so you don't see the icons of your desktop during loading. This version of b2sserver is specially created to hide your backglass if there are other windows/programs, because pinupplayer must popup in front. As Scutter says and what I tried to explain too( I'm not native English so sorry for the confusion) you need the entry in the b2stable file where you don't have a pinupplayer backglass to put this in front. I got 700 vpx tables and modify the registry and xml with simple find/replace statements. If pbx should pull this to front, it will overwrite proberly your pinupplayer backglasses
-
Do you use pinupplayer for b2s files? If not, you can use an older verser of b2sserver. I tried the new b2sserver once and needed to put all in front (even on older pbx) Because didn't like the pinup backglass, i reverted back to older b2sserver and original backglasses. I thought you can add in xml file for your backglass the entry to put to the front
-
Don't you have to chechk the check box in that version to "Bring BG form to top" ? Thought that the version you use was for pinup player to hide the BG and bring the pinupplayer. And if you don't have a pinupplayer bg for that table, you need to check that box.
