  1. @xxxrhc3xxx Can you repost the usual files (log and ini), after having the issue with the 7-8 tables. Is the error in visual pinball or pinballx?. If it's VP have a look at https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=31020
  2. Ok then... ignore future dmd for now, Add / STAYINRAM to your FP launch parameters.. so; Parameters=/open "[TABLEPATH]\[TABLEFILE]" /play /exit /arcaderender /STAYINRAM
  3. Try changing the launch before for futuredmd to not wait for exit. This line in the ini file ([FuturePinball] section) to False; LaunchBeforeWaitForExit=True
  4. Also, are there any errors in windows event viewer at the time of crashes (Windows Logs -> Application)?
  5. What is the error? Can you attach your pinballx.ini file and a copy of your pinballx\databases folder as a zip file. Ta.
  6. I used to run a 3 screen setup with 4k playfield on gtx1060 (6GB) without any real issue before i upgraded to a 1080. Always loaded fine through pinballx. Might be different with a 1060 3GB though. I'd turn off use B2S in front end for starters, and install pinballx 64bit as @Mike_da_Spike suggested. Post the log file after launching/closing one of the problem tables. Other stuff to let us know.. are you running any antivirus / defender, does it have exclusions set for pinball folders, and what is (and isn't) set to run as admin (or any other weird compatibility settings) (and don't worry too much about the monitor numbers in the config compared to windows, they'll be off by 1. Monitor 1 in the config file is your backglass, playfield would be 0) edit : pinballx.ini should be in your pinballx\config\ folder
  7. Updated attachment in first post to V1.1. Added ability to use Gifs as logo overlays, or flash on/off static overlays.. Flashing logo image & cogs gif as semi transparent overlay (can be combined with video effects & text to match preferences) Plenty of gifs out there that can be used, some in https://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/23287-loading-gifs/, and obviously loads more if you use google
  8. The xml shows you have an entry for Avatar (2012 ; <game name="Avatar (Stern 2012"> <description>stern</description> <rom></rom> <manufacturer></manufacturer> <year></year> <type></type> <hidedmd>True</hidedmd> <hidetopper>True</hidetopper> <hidebackglass>True</hidebackglass> <enabled>True</enabled> <rating>0</rating> </game> Remove that entry (in game manager or edit the xml file in notepad), and then add Avatar (2010) as new. Make sure you don't leave the description field blank. If you get the error again post another picture, but move the Confirm lose Changes message box away from the Game Manager window so we can see the new entry. .. and as @Mike_da_Spike suggests you may want to try pinballx database manager instead of the standard game manager, https://www.gameex.info/forums/files/file/2499-pinballx-database-manager/
  9. @barto107 I've never tried audio in loading videos. In settings.exe make sure that under Audio Settings you have Sound in Videos set to Yes. If that doesn't work please raise either longer launch audio or audio in loading videos as a feature request;
  10. Looks like you have two Avatar tables in your C:\games\Visual Pinball\Tables folder. Are you saying you should only have one (which one)? Can you post your 'pinball 10.xml' file too, should be in pinballx\databases\pinball 10\ folder
  11. Another tool if you want a quick way of converting playfield videos to loading videos for use with this plugin;
  12. Thanks! It's pinballx that'll control audio from videos rather than the plugin so should be raised in the general forum (or more likely as a feature request). But maybe you could extract the audio and move it to table launch audio folders?
  13. Glad you got it working! Fwiw, i still use pbx recorder (just because of habit). V1.6 or something like that, i should really move with the times and start recording via pinballx too..
  14. You might be able to do a shutdown script in windows (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/technet-magazine/dd630947(v=msdn.10)?redirectedfrom=MSDN) But yeah, as far as i know the exit program batch in pinballx won't know if it's just exiting pinballx, or exiting and shutting down. Definitely post it as a feature request!
  15. Log file shows an error; Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Pinball\PinballX\Media\Ambiance'. Have you inadvertently dragged that folder somewhere else?
  16. Taskill in a batch will work, but please be aware it's unusual to need to do that for B2S - it should close when VP exits. Does the B2S close with VP outside pinballx?
  17. LAV looks like an old version, update that from link on pinballx homepage
  18. Is VPX running as admin but not PinballX?
  19. Sounds like LAV settings.. Check this post; (post a pic of your settings if that doesn't fix it)
  20. So, a new install and both 32 & 64bit versions tried with the same result, when trying to launch visual pinball pinballx hangs on a black screen, but all other systems ok? I'd still try disabling B2S in the front end (change this line in the ini file to False, UseB2S=True , or can be done in settings.exe if you prefer) Are you running Visual Pinball in fullscreen exclusive? @Tom Speirs Noticed this line in the ini file, FullScreenWindowedNew=False, doesn't seem right - could it be related to this issue for a new config?
  21. Very strange, nothing in the log to indicate a table launch at all. Long shot, but try either turning off the use b2s in front end option, or install the 32 bit version to see if that helps at all (b2s is 32bit) Were things working normally before an update to v4.14?
  22. Forgot to post this earlier, i did an alternate loading video builder app that some may find easier to use or prefer to adding dynamic overlays. The results you get are very different (and if you really wanted to you could combine the use of both loading video tools running one after the other... but that might be just a bit too crazy! )
  23. Is this path to tables folder correct ? TablePath=D:\Pinball\Visual Pinball\Tables\Tables If it's not that please attach your log.txt file after trying to launch a visual pinball table. Thanks.
