  1. Not a problem, I would be more than happy to try any updates you have as I really want to get this working. I don't have time to do so now but I will get back to you tonight or tomorrow with my findings once I have time to get the new version up and running. Thanks again, I really appericate you helping me with this. It's such a great program when it is working correctly for me and that is why I really want to getting it working 100%!
  2. Can you point me to a thread that tells me how I can go about doing this or give me directions on how to do so? Does this have to do with the program posted on BYOAC or is this something I just turn on in Game Ex? Thanks. ps. Good Luck Stu!
  3. I never heard of the freezer trick either but I would be willing to try anything at that point I think. Funny though, it's like the oposite of when my Xbox360 broke. When that broke I had to wrap in in towels and leave it run for 5 minutes to heat it up. Funy thing is, it worked but that is a whole other story in it's own. Good luck getting your data back, I love your other theme that you made before BTW.
  4. headkaze, Will you be able to address my problem any further in the future, I am still running into the same issues.
  5. I have a few questions... Has it ever worked, prior versions of Mame or is this the first time you are trying it? What version of Mame are you currently using? Do you have a "hi" folder under Mame and is it creating .hi files in it? I see you mentioned dkong.hi so it would seem so. I had a problem like yours before and it had to do with a certain version of Mame and compiling it. Sometimes it would show the correct hi scores and sometimes it would not. On another note, I see you that you are saying that there is maybe a way for Game Ex to post hi scores in the front end, is this under the Mame options in Game Ex or am I reading too much into this? Thanks.
  6. Problem solved for me in this post with loading pause issues and Daemon Tools. http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?sh...amp;#entry49704
  7. Thank you very much to Brian for helping me with this, it is not working 100%!!!! The attached wrapper is designed to work with the current build of deamontools lite. The wrapper can be used for any system. The wrapper assumes Deamontools is installed to its default location. X86 and X64 bit versions are included as they install to diffrent locations by default. example usage of the wrapper is TurboCd_Leader.exe "[rompath]\[romfile]" 5000 This will mount the chosen cd image and mount it into deamon tools and then wait 5000 miliseconds before launching the next command. This is designed to be run from the launch before section of gameex to mount a cd and wait a specified amount of time prior to launching the emulator. This should fix any emulator that is having issues loading properly because the disc hasnt finished mounting. Below is a working Turbo CD config using magic engine. [Emulator_6] Enabled=True STARTPAGENAME=[Console] NEC TurboGrafx CD TITLETEXT=[Console] NEC TurboGrafx CD StartPageLogo=[Console] NEC TurboGrafx CD ROMFilter=*.cue RomPath=E:\Emulation\Roms\NEC TurboGrafx CD SnapPath= TitlePath= BoxPath= CartPath= ManualPath= ControlPanelPath=c:\emulators\NEC TurboGrafx CD\Controls\ InstructionsPath= WorkingPath=C:\Emulation\Emulators\Magic Engine MapKeys=True WaitBeforeKeys= SendKeys= ReplaceDash=False ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=False RemoveBrackets=False ShowDesktop=True Debug=False MAPFile= AlsoLaunch= Command=pce.exe -cd:H OLDatZip= LaunchBefore="[APP]\LOADERS\TurboCD_Loader.exe" "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" 5000 LaunchAfter="C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\daemon.exe" -unmount 0 configFile= ExcludedFiles= CustomBackground= PlayMusic=False DontShowInfo= PlaySelectionMusic=False SelectionMusicFolder= PCGame=False DATABASE=[Console] NEC TurboGrafx CD UseDbName= GamesIn7Zips=False PlayInScreenSaver=False ShowMostPlayed=True RandomMostPlayed=True CDCheck=False CDCheckFile= CustomArtName1= CustomArtPath1= CustomArtName2= CustomArtPath2= CustomArtName3= CustomArtPath3= [GENERAL] DumbyValue= TurboCD_Loader__X64_bit_.zip TurboCD_Loader__X86_.zip
  8. I have a whole ton of songs (80s tunes) that play in the background of Game Ex while navigating the menus as well as a ambiance.mp3 file that plays at the same time... Both great features! I was new to all this a few months back and I looked at MA, honestly I gave it a hard look but in the end I personally have found no front end that can touch all the features that Game Ex has to offer and that list continues to grow!
  9. So is this my exact launch before code if I want to place sleep.exe in my loaders folder under Game Ex? "[APP]\LOADERS\sleep.exe" "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" 5000 If so, I tried it before I went to work this morning and got an error with Daemon Tools. Let me know if the above is correct and I will post the error here in about 1.5 hrs when I get in from work. Thanks. ps. If I recall right I don't think Daemon could find the .iso to load and BTW, can you please have it load the .cue file and not the .iso? Maybe this is the reason it did not work, my filter is sat to .cue. With Turbo CD games you want to load the .cue file and not the .iso file this is the whole reason I am not using virtual cd. Thanks Again!
  10. Pretty sure I have 1.6 installed on my setup at home. What sort of error are you getting? What is your command line and before and after commands?
  11. I few questions about this Brain. Sleep.exe "[rompath]\[romfile]" 5000 < is that my launch before command? Sleep.exe is to be placed in the system32 dir? If I want to put sleep.exe in my Game Ex Loaders dir can I use a command like this? "[APP]\LOADERS\sleep.exe" "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" 5000 < launch before? Do I still need to use the launch after command? "C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\daemon.exe" -unmount 0 Thanks!
  12. Ok... I did some more testing and figure out a few things as to why this was not working. The "sleep.exe" command is not able to run in Vista 64 so I cannot use it and that is why none of the above was working. =[ However I did do some reading and found another way of going about this but I need help getting it sat up for Game Ex. I need to write a bat file that mounts the image and then issues the ping command to ping an ip prior to launching Magic Engine. I can then adjust the ping command as much as I want to vary the time. I think this may work...??? Currently my working command line is: pce.exe -cd:H Launch before is: "C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\daemon.exe" -mount 0,"[RomPath]\[RomFile]" These both work all but my needed delay situation. Thanks to anyone who can help me.
  13. Currently I am keeping it running but I am having some issues. ---------------------- I am having a slight issue with Xpadder and Mame that maybe someone here can help me with. It seems that when I configure Mame with my X-Arcade and Xbox 360 controller (360 using Xpadder) that sometimes the settings do not stay configured within Mame. This may be due to the fact that sometimes when I start Mame I do not have the 360 controller on so it does not see it and reverts to default settings because it is not there, however when I say default settings though I mean it reverts back to the setting of Mame before I ever make any changes to it. I have not confirmed this yet but I never had this problem just using my X-Arcade in the past, it has only occurred since I started using the 360 controller and Xapdder. I mean Mame is great because it seems that you can set a unlimited amount of commands to each key control but I just wish they would stay that way whether the controller is present or notâ?¦ Well at least that seems to be the issue from what I can tell at the moment. Ideas or thoughts? Thanks. -------------------------- Regarding your issue, do you have joystick support turning on in Game Ex and configured? Another thing I noticed with my setup above is this and I think this is what is happening. When my Xbox 360 is turned off and I load Mame running Xpadder with no controller detected, all my Mame settings get reverted back to default. =[
  14. I use the zip support when needed from time to time but not for all my emulators but maybe you are right. For the emulators that I am not using zip support with, it does work but for the ones I am using zip support with, it does not. In this case for Saturn I am using it and for N64 I am not. For now I will sort them into seperate dirs till I can confirm the above. Thanks.
  15. It does not work for whatever reason, I am not sure why. I tried: *.cue;*(US)* .zip and even without the *.cue it does not work. Have you tested this yourself? Like I said, its strange as sometimes it works. For N64 rom file name 007 - GoldenEye (USA).zip *(USA)* will filter my USA roms.
  16. Is it possible that if I have a folder with USA, Japan and Europe roms in it that I can have Game Ex filter the folder to only display the games from a certain region? It seem like sometimes I can do this in the rom filter slot ie. *(USA)* rom file name 007 - GoldenEye (USA).zip However it seems like I am only successful when there is no other filter added ie. *.cue even when using ; For example Sega CD... rome file name Battlecorps (1993)(Core)(NTSC)(US)[!].zip Filtering this file when I also have to use *.cue does not work, ie. *.cue;*(US)* Am I do something wrong or is this a feature that can be added? Thanks.
  17. Have a good one tomorrow guys and girls. Best to you and your families. Don't eat too much!
  18. I looked over what you posted here... I changed my before to "C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\daemon.exe" -mount 0,"[RomPath]\[RomFile]" and that works just as well as the other path I posted. I also noticed your command line and I changed that too: Command=Pce.exe -cd:H (my Daemon Drive is H: as sat in my Magic Engine ini as well) Both of these paths work fine but my problem remains. =[ I did however further verify my issue. I am now 100% of the pause needed issue. What I did was set my command line to just Command=Pce.exe which just boots me into Magic Engine emulator from Game Ex. Once I was in Magic Engine I used the drop down to "Boot CD" and I actually saw it load the name of the game into the H: drive after I saw the drive letter so for me, there is some sort of delay there for whatever reason, I am not sure why this is happening. I just somehow need to figure out how to set a delay between the time Daemon Tools mounts the image and the time Magic Engine tries to boot the CD or loads, I think after that everything should work perfect. I am going to look over your config more today when I get home from work but right now I need to get to work. I think we are closing in on getting this worked out as I can see the issue now and verify it, so I do appericate everyone's help.
  19. When I had this problem before it was a bad hard drive, hope that is not your case here.
  20. I agree, AnyDVD is great software. I am a big fan of foreign movies and AnyDVD always does the trick, has for years.
  21. I have a never PC, E8500 Dual Core and I am running Dreamcast on it. Looks and works great as well as Naomi. I have yet to mess with PS2 game though so let me know how that works out for you.
  22. This is an excellent media player and it is FREE! http://www.videolan.org/ You can drag and drop iso files right into it and play them!!! If you want to buy something, PowerDVD is a nice player too. As far as ripping DVDs I heard that Media Center on Vista rips DVDs right to your hard drive but if you want to rip ISO files here is another great program and again it's FREE! =] http://www.imgburn.com/ I highly recommend all 3 of these programs. hehehe Not Vista.
  23. I have NullDC currently working on my setup as well as NullDC (Naomi). Soon I will be getting an IPAC setup so I am going to have to deal with it at that time, currently I am using wappers for both. 3DO and Turbo CD seem to both be issues, atleast for me they are. Turbo CD I have the timing issue that Ben is currently helping me with and I think 3DO needs some sort of loader or wrapper to work. I am also trying to get the UnECM working with PSX which I have not been succesful in doing so yet. I have PM'd the writer of the post here but I have not heard back from him as of yet and it has been a little since he was last on.
  24. I guess I had just thought that when Xpadder was running it cancelled all joystick commands for whatever you have sat up in it, I guess that is not the case. I know if I don't have Xpadder loaded and I run my NES emualtor, the keys don't work but when I have it running, it works great. "shrug" I guess it works for something and not others.
  25. That is already sat to no. OMG GET THIS! I sat it to yes and now it works!? What the hell!!!!!!???? As that did fix the Game Ex menu issue does this mean I stick need to set up joystick functions in Mame as that is still not working? I see what is happening with the Game Ex menu, I just need to configure the joystick keys correctly in there for it to work in the menus in Game Ex but the thing is, why isn't Xpadder able to handle all this? It seems like it is working in someway like the nav. of the menu but not correctly with the keys presses...
