I did not go back and read through all of this post and maybe it has been covered but I don't know how the hell you guys are loading Turbo Games with the new feature. For me when I load Turbo CD Games I need to load the .cue file and even though I have the filter on to load the .cue file, V. CD still loads the iso and in return my CD games do not load. I am also having a stange issue now that whenever I use Magic Engine inside Game Ex and press the "H" key, it kicks me out of the game and back into the Game Ex menus... Can anyone test this for me please and report back? This problem does not happen when I am using MG outside of Game Ex and it is not happening with other emulators within Game Ex.

What system bios is everyone using to load Turbo CD games? It seems half the ones I load come up with a system error. =[ Looks like I am loading with "Super CD-ROM2 System Ver. 3.00". Seems like everything I try and load I get an Load Error, what am I doing wrong? Is there something I don't have configred right in Magic Engine? I read the follwing on another forum... The Magic System is a reverse-engineered BIOS for people who don't have the original System Cards. As such, it doesn't work as well as the real deal, especially in the audio department. But David is going to improve it eventually. Still, a System Card is highly recommended. You can put your system ROMs where you want, providing that you edit your config file and point it to the path where you put your System Cards. Example: Code: ; ; system card paths ; -- ; system_card_1="E:\Magic Engine\System Card 1.00 (J).pce" system_card_2="E:\Magic Engine\System Card 2.01 (U).pce" system_card_3="E:\Magic Engine\Super System Card 3.00 (J).pce" system_card_4="E:\Magic Engine\Games Express CD Card (J).pce" Finally, a few Japanese games don't work with a US System Card (Alshark and Super CD-ROM² Taiken Soft Shū come to mind). ........................................ I have Magic Engine select to auto and all those cards add but I am still getting the load error!

I don't see that error, here is part of my log file. 18:34:15.7 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator from Cache 18:34:15.7 11/21/2008: No Database Data 18:34:32.5 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator from Cache 18:34:32.5 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator Database From Cache 18:34:32.5 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator from Cache 18:34:32.5 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator Database From Cache 18:34:32.5 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator from Cache 18:34:32.5 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator Database From Cache 18:34:32.6 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator from Cache 18:34:32.6 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator Database From Cache 18:34:32.6 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator from Cache 18:34:32.6 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator Database From Cache 18:34:32.7 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator from Cache 18:34:32.7 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator Database From Cache 18:34:32.8 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator from Cache 18:34:32.8 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator Database From Cache 18:34:32.8 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator from Cache 18:34:32.9 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator Database From Cache 18:34:32.9 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator from Cache 18:34:32.9 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator Database From Cache 18:34:32.9 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator from Cache 18:34:32.9 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator Database From Cache 18:34:33.0 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator from Cache 18:34:33.0 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator Database From Cache 18:34:33.0 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator from Cache 18:34:33.0 11/21/2008: No Database Data 18:34:33.1 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator from Cache 18:34:33.1 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator Database From Cache 18:34:33.1 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator from Cache 18:34:33.1 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator Database From Cache 18:34:33.2 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator from Cache 18:34:33.2 11/21/2008: Restoring Emulator Database From Cache 18:34:57.8 11/21/2008: Running: cmd.exe /c C: pce.exe "syscard3.pce" 18:36:16.0 11/21/2008: Exiting GameEx! 18:36:16.0 11/21/2008: Saving Settings 18:36:17.5 11/21/2008: Disposing Plugins 18:36:17.5 11/21/2008: Closing database connection 18:36:17.5 11/21/2008: Checking for applications to Launch On Exit 18:36:17.5 11/21/2008: Media Center was not open when starting GameEx, so not launching I tried the attached, no luck. The only thing I can think of is that your sure you don't have to tell it what drive to use? When I load a game from Magic Engine after I mount the image I still have to select boot CD and then pick the image but it is in the list.
-
I am having the same problem as you. Command line is: pce.exe "syscard3.pce"[-virtualdrive-] All I get is the CD player dash. I have tried multiple games now that worked with my other setup using Daemon. Seems to be unzipping the games ok but not mounting the image. Also if I mount the image outside of Game Ex, run Magic Engine it comes up under Boot CD and works fine. So my issue is def. not a card issue.

Ok so what am I doing wrong here? Here is my config. '===============[PLEASE CONFIGURE BELOW VALUES]================================ SourceDirectory = "D:\Emulation\Roms\Sony Playstation" 'Root Directory of Rar'd or 7zipped games. DOES NOT SEARCH THIS DIR FOR GAMES. ONLY SUBDIR'S PlayDirectory = "C:\Emulation\Front Ends\Game Ex\Scripts" 'Direcory to put the .vbs scripts that game ex will see as games TempDir = "D:\Emulation\Roms\Sony Playstation\1a Current Game" 'Empty directory that the emulator will run the images from. Winrar = "C:\Program Files (x86)\WinRAR\Rar.exe" 'Location of Winrar's Command line executable (Rar.exe) SevenZip = "C:\Emulation\Front Ends\Game Ex\7za.exe" 'Location of 7zip's Command line executable (7z.exe) UnECM = "C:\Emulation\Utilities\ECM Tools\unecm.exe" 'Location of your unzipped/unrard unecm.exe file Emulator = "C:\Emulation\Emulators\ePSXe\ePSXe.exe" 'Emulator command line executable location EmuSwitch = "-f" 'Emulator command line switches '==============[PLEASE CONFIGURE ABOVE VALUES]=============================== My games are all in sub dirs of "D:\Emulation\Roms\Sony Playstation" sub dir 2Xtreme [NTSC-U] [sCUS-94508] 2Xtreme [NTSC-U] [sCUS-94508].7z sub dir 3D Baseball [NTSC-U] [sLUS-00066] 3D Baseball [NTSC-U] [sLUS-00066].7z I run the .vbs file and it tells me it is done. I go into Game Ex to my ePSXe setup and the only game that is there is the script. What am I missing? I only moved two games so far to test this and they are the above.

Ok freq... I will contact you on IM after work. Thanks.

Thank you for your reply. Right now I am still using my X-Arcade but soon when I get my cab. I will be using an Ipac 4. It is not really an issue but when I reconfigure for my new setup I am trying to avoid these issues and the ones above that I have currently ran into. It's good to know that there are work arounds if something like this would come up. Until this point I have not had any problems with num keys until SSF not supporting them. Not sure if I should stick to them with my new setup or not? I mean I really, really have a lot of emulators sat up at this point and so far these are the only two issues I have ran into and if these can be fixed in the future with an easy work around, I may just stick to the num keys, then use a-z skipping p.

Fair Enough.

??? and ? I was simply saying Daemon Tools is a much more across the board used program than Virtual CloneDrive and both are free. It has more support and supports more types of files. Although Virtual CloneDrive seems to work, well at least for Saturn games I have yet to get the Turbo CD games to load, it seems like Daemon would have been the more acceptable choice here.

It seems like every time I think I have it all figured out, there is another bend in the road. Is there a general rule of thumb for safe keys to use when configuring a control panel? I though I had it all covered but I have since run into two issues with the following emus. SSF (Saturn Emulator) - Problem - Num Lock Keys can not be used for control commands. Visual Pinball - Problem - Key Press 4 cannot be reconfigured from coin insert So my lesson so far is this, don't use num lock keys or number keys. It would assume that function keys would be a bad choice as well as well as common used letters like â??pâ? for pause. Is there a general rule of thumb here? What works and what doesnâ??t? It would be cool to start some sorta data base for something like thisâ?¦

I'll be the one to say it here, why did't you use Daemon Tools Lite? It's free and seem like a better program than Virtual CloneDrive... Virtual CloneDrive seems to do the job as I was able to load Saturn Games last night with the help of Freq., but I am just wondering why you decided to go with this other program? Hey Freq., any luck with Turbo CD yet?
-
I'll give it a go. I take it I just install over top my prior version or to the same dir then?
-
As long as it does the job! BFD if it does not support copy protection, hell isn't that a plus? I will keep Daemon Tools installed in the meantime as I dabble in another front end that I am sure will need it.
-
Sweet! I guess I can uninstall daemon-tools? How will I install this with the auto updates? Will I be able to select it?

If I recall correctly and this was sometime ago, I used whatever the default was for x-arcade from with in Game Ex. I changed all the keys on my x-arcade controller except these two because of this reason. Honestly, I am really suprised this is not a simple option to change from with in the Game Ex settings menus. At anyrate, yes please. "r" and "Numpad2" Thank You.
-
It is but I want to change the value of those two keys, that is the problem. Where do I change those two keys to something other than what they currently are? I don't mean with in my CP either, I mean with in Game Ex. For example... If I currently exit a games using a two button press, let's say a and b to go back into the Game Ex front end from any emulator, how can I change those two buttons from with in Game Ex to be something other than and b? Maybe I want them to be b & c or just plain c. See what I am driving at?
-
See what that 1/2 of minute more would have got you?
-
All of them. Currently when I press two keys, it exit out of any emulator I am in and back to the Game Ex dash board.
-
SSF it is, I will set it up tonight if I have time. Thanks Guys.

http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?sh...c=6026&st=0 The script never worked. All this is going to change when I get my cab. but for now I would like to go back to my original plan, "r" and "Num 2" to exit a game. Can you make this happen?
-
I forget my current setup because I am not at home but it is a two key press, like 2 and r. Exits me out of the game and back into Game Ex. Say I want to make it a one key press, like the letter q or some other two button key press, what is the best way to go about this? This is not an option to just change it with in Game Ex? I know I posted something about this before, going to try and dig up that post now.
-
How can I change the key or keys I press to exit a game in Game Ex? Thanks.
-
I got a pretty high end PC so I just want the best.
