  1. I don't think i need your config, I belive it is a setup error in Vice. Open your Vice.ini file and look for this area within it [VIC20] LogFileName="" Directory="$$" RomsetArchiveName="default" RomsetArchiveActive="" RomsetFileName="default" RomsetSourceFile=1 Language="en" MonitorDimensions="" InitialDefaultDir="" InitialTapeDir="" InitialDiskDir="" InitialAutostartDir="C:\Users\Flash\Desktop\New Folder (2)" InitialCartDir="" InitialSnapshotDir="" FullscreenDevice=0 FullscreenBitdepth=32 FullscreenWidth=1024 FullscreenHeight=768 FullscreenRefreshRate=0 FullscreenEnabled=0 *SaveResourcesOnExit=1 *ConfirmOnExit=1 SingleCPU=0 Window0Xpos=253 Window0Ypos=253 Window1Xpos=-2147483648 Window1Ypos=-2147483648 VBLANKSync=1 Change the two lines that I have marked with *. (don't add the * though) so it looks like below and re-save. You should not have to change any other settings. FullscreenEnabled=0 SaveResourcesOnExit=0 ConfirmOnExit=0 SingleCPU=0 Window0Xpos=253 Window0Ypos=253 Window1Xpos=-2147483648 Window1Ypos=-2147483648 VBLANKSync=1 AlwaysOnTop=0 I hope this helps. Feel free to ask if this does not. I am always happy to help a fellow vector game lover did I just say Asteroids?, nope, no... I think I just thought it... Look out - the wifes coming! Help!!!!!! Thanks for the ass kissing, it was very soothing!
  2. If you used my config, press F10 and select the file. You should see 4 files in the default directory that apears Image.d64 caligam1.d64 caligam2.d64 galigam3.d64 Image.d64 is the boot disk. The remaining 3 are disks 2,3, and 4. They are numbered 1,2,3 as gamebase numbers disks from 0, 0 being the first disk. Please let me know if this helps, I am always happy to help... Hope your Vic-20 setup went better than Tempests
  3. Just a quick (not 100% gameex question) Using Daemon Tools to mount Saturn images for Yabuse (SSF seems to fail in full-screen on Vista). When I run an image from Gameex, nothing happens; I alt-tab to find that Daemon Tools has a input box open asking 'secure mode confirmation for command line: -mount 0,"D:<romfile>". I then have to select yes to continue. If I switch off secure mode in Daemon Tools, It is turned on again after a reboot. How do I get it to stay OFF, has anyone had this problem? I know I can use Send Keys, but it would be cleaner just to have the option off! oh, it also asks for confirmation to unmout when exiting the game.
  4. I have the same problem with straight pdf manuals, sometimes they can take several minutes. Also, if the computer is doing anything in the background, gameex can actually stop responding! The pdf files take seconds to open in acrobat reader. Perhaps this is something worth looking into? I thought it was just me!

    MAMEBak.png

    Try renaming it to bak.png
  6. It works a treat now, thanks again for your help. I'm glad you thought of it as i had never seen gameex do that so had no idea what i was looking for!
  7. Nope - just tried it, the background to the main pages expands and contracts still (wibbly-wobbly ) It is fine with custom emulator backgrounds though? EDIT: Just looked at ini again and found i had a line preceding the other saying Anibak=TRUE. Changed that and works a treat now! Thanks EDITEDIT: Bugger, just realised i have hijacked one of Toms posts... Oh Dear! SORRY TOM....
  8. Thanks a lot, had a look in Wy ini and i had put AniBak=False. Silly Billy. I always have problexs with my M's. Veny thanks. Now, when we can move the elements about, that will be fun... In the meantime I will just play with Photoshop
  9. Playing with V3 This is an early shot of an idea i have. Need to be able to move game list text, option bar text, snaps, images, and other elements. At the moment there is no way to do this. Working on this as a HD theme. TOM: is there anyway to stop elements like startbak, bak, mamebak, etc from doing the wibbly-wobbly thing?? Any comments always welcome!
  10. Excellent - that is good news.. Really like the new clutter-free theme.ini, 4 lines :) Looking forward to having a proper play in an HD resolution when i get home, not the same on a sony ultraportable! I am just so easily pleased! wish the wife was also.. God, she'll be moaning tonight! <ulp>. Poor Tom, his ears must bleed everytime he does an update Mine certainly do!
  11. Having a play at the moment! V2 themes work the same as they did. Sadly. From what i can find out with a big of ini editing. Nothing is positional at the moment. I.e. The snaps cannot be moved, nor menus. Not a problem for the start of theme creation though At least I know exactly where the option bar is located!
  12. Thanks for posting your comments, it is always nice to hear if someone is using the theme. The idea was to keep it fairly clean for just such a useage. Look out for the steampunk inspired V3 theme I started working one over the weekend. Will be a little while yet though (same hi-res)
  13. Tom, You never cease to amaze me! Mind you, I am still amazed by zip fasteners, how Savlon knows it is the place you are rubbing it that hurts and not the fingers you are rubbing with, and also - I am still amazed at how Coat Hangers got there name, and why the wife puts up with me Time to start working on that Leather and studwork theme (steampunk-ish) that i have been toying with.. (will have to do the positoning manually at the mo - no editor?). Have a drink on me for ALL your hard work! (or 10)
  14. I posted about it last night and then decided to try it! Sadly it did not work on the 3 titles i tried. Perhaps it was because my images were already self-boot bins? It read the image ok, asked if i wanded to create and ip file and regardless of selection, exited imediatly? Shaunop has also tried it to no avial.. What did you do?
  15. Check out this link, I have not had time to try it yet, so please be my guinea pig and then let me know (arn't i a lazy boy?) http://forums.ngemu.com/nulldc-discussion/...ork-nulldc.html You have to register to download the files, but google will find them for you
  16. I used Ultraiso to convert several cue/bin dreamcast images to .img, they all worked.I opened the files in UltraIso and then re-saved them. I did not use the inbuilt convertor.
  17. Thanks for your comments. I was aiming for a clean, uncluttered area. Used a sample of the texture on a zx spectrum for the stippled background I am glad you like it. Feel free to re-use any icons or parts if you wish. I am thinking of re-doing all the backgrounds with a subtle steam-punk look, brass screws on corners and leather back areas/panels etc, as ypu can probably tell, spent a LOT more time replacing all the icons (was particually pleased with to opening invader screen). All icons are 700x700 to enable rescaling to smaller screen displays at some stage! Looking forward to your theme.
  18. Firebrand - I recently upped a new theme, would love your feedback as a theme creating guy "RetroBox" (lots of new icons in it)
  19. I personally prefer the sword version. They are both very nice, but as you say, that one is cleaner and I think it is also more fitting with your overal theme.
  20. Robert - It is available from the main site, in the main themes section http://www.gameex.net/LinkClick.aspx?link=...=94&mid=350 Please let me know what you think! Cheers
  21. Just to expand on the earlier reply. The mdb files are located in your gameex/data/emulators folder. To edit them you need a version of microsoft office with Access. Failing that there are several programs that are compatible with Access, some I believe are free. You can find which mdb file an emulator is using by entering Advanced config, selecting the emulator and reading the name listed under 'Database:' Hope that helps?
  22. I forgot about Starcastle. Anyway, stop arguing or im gonna grass you up to my mate Tom and he will duff you up and all that, and then I will tell my dad and he is like 70 odd and can crush a walnut with a hammer - scared now are't ya?
  23. Asteroids deluxe had an image as a background.. God - you will be telling me King Kong was a bit poo because it was black & white! Thanks for YOUR support Bkenobi
  24. Quite disapointed - I was really expecting a mashing from Asteroid, sorry - i mean Tempest
  25. You need video capture software. A good choice is Fraps, or HyperCam. Run the game and capture the video. Rename video to your romname with the extension .avi, place in your snaps folder. Or:- Join Emumovies and download the rather excellent Dreamcast set there and save yourself a lot of work
