Vice does support zip files - but not from GameEx unless the file within the zip perfectly matches the zip file name, to the best of my knowledge. All I know is that i have tried Vice before and it has the same problem that CCS has when running a zip from gameex. Zip support fails on both This is not really a problem as a modified version of the com file will work fine (I hope) Regarding CCS Vs Vice. CCS is a MUCH better emulator for the running of C64 games. It supports many more of the programming tricks faultlessly. I.E. Dysp, border sprites, bitmap scrolls and samples. It is a master of one. Vice is a jack of all trades and still VERY good and the only real option for vic 20. Hope that answers that question? you really should look in to setting up the C64 (CCS) emulator. It is great fun with SO many wonderful games..
