  1. Posted a config for Commodore Plus4/C16 Vice emulator. Have tested with several rom sets and all works great. Any probs, dont hesitate to post problems and i will do my best to help! It can be found HERE
  2. Vice Plus4/C16 Emulator Zip Setup ---------------------------------------- This Config allows you to run Commodore Plus4/C16 roms that are zipped. This is quite handy as it allows you to use nice zipped sets (Tosec no-intro etc) Place the contents of Plus4.rar in the vice emulators directory Import the emulator config found in Plus4EmConfig.rar (Remember to change paths) All should work a treat! Have fun! Plus4.rar Plus4EmConfig.rar
  3. Sorry - was messing about and Tom told me off! I have a very solemn look on my face now I have promised to be good from now on (MOSTLY )
  4. Camtasia contains no watermarks and is fully functioning (if a bit overwhelming).
  5. That is good news - well done
  6. fRequEnCy was right to suggest that, it does have a 30 day free trial (if you work quick, you could do them in that time), and it will capture from zsnes.. Have you tried hypercam?
  7. I'm afraid that this is not an error that I have ever seen. If it is a GameEx error - post the error log and hopefully Tom will be able to help. If the error is caused by Zsnesw.exe, then I am confused. I have it running fine, and have never seen an error like that? just a stab in the dark... Try changing PlaySelectionMusic to false
  8. I can't see anything wrong with the conf you have for zsnesw Does zsnes work ok from windows? Is zsnes set to play in a window? If so, it may be that it is failing to run and sitting silent behind a blank gamex screen? In what way does gameex crash?
  9. Oh dear.... Flash has been told off, I will try to behave myself from now on (mostly!)
  10. I also was experiencing problems earlier, but I got some magic cream from the Pharmacy
  11. Hi, Just posted a full config for the Commodore Vic-20 using Vice emulator. The config will only work with Zipped files (easy to create with dats for No-Intro, Tosec, etc) The Config has several benefits over using standard 'xvie.exe [rompath]/[romfile]' It will check the game you wish to run and try to set the Vic-20 emulator configuration to the optimum to run it. The Vic-20 is a funny beast and unexpanded memory games will often fail on an expanded machine. Also the Vic-20 had so many different memory configurations that makes it hard to run lots of software. This config should sort all these problems so games 'just run'. Also, with regards to Cartridge games, these can be banked into memory in several different ways. I tested with the Tosec collection and set the config to place the carts in the correct memory space to enable them to run. This was quit a complicated config to code and i hope it works for all that wish to run some of the 'old classics'. Config is located HERE
  12. I must be very bored here at work.....
  13. Hi, When i run GameEx on my pc at home, I can play lots of games fine.. It works a treat, but when I use it on my laptop, after almost 2.5 hours, it just switches off the laptop and it wont come on again.. I am at a loss and in such a tizz about it.. Took the laptop back to the shop and they took it away to look at. The next day I went to collect it and they said there was nothing wrong, so I turned it on (they must have done something as it worked again) and played GameEx stuff again, and bugger me; would ya believe it? After 2.5 hours it turned off again and wont come on again.. I think i need another laptop, perhaps a GameEx certified one? I need one with a screen and keyboard.. not sure what else... Ho Hum! UPDATE! Please ignore this post as Tom has told me off for messing about! Got a bit bored when I was posting the Info on the Vic-20 config! I have promised to try and behave myself from now on. (hope Tom does not tell Mummy, she has a fearful right hook)
  14. What speed connection have you got? One way round it could be to uncheck the download options and install. You could always download them from the web site later?
  15. no i'm not - i only like it with women :) TGF used to be my C64 hacking/demoscene name (The Great Flash), I was the first to do single raster sprite splits. Then as a nick name in the scarey REAL WORLD, it got shortened to just Flash. But.. On forums and such, I use Greatflash as Flash has usually been used.. My wife calls me several other names that are not really usable in public...
  16. Im afraid the only real way to do it is with a graphic editor and put them together into one image to the best of my knowledge!
  17. Awww, Shucks!
  18. my point is that ratings are subjective. movie ratings for example. some of my favorite films have been panned and many of the blockbusters are total crap. My suggestion was to mark games that you believe friends/family should play as favorites so they appear in the favorite list.
  19. I have the same problem creating vids when using FRAPS on several emu's. Fraps is great when it works. I use Hypercam for when they fail. It is not brilliant but works. Hope that helps!?
  20. check map keys in the emulator config for the system you are trying to run. set it to YES.
  21. I am glad there is no way to filter them. Moby ratings are VERY subjective. I personally disagree with a lot of them and pay no attention. I can not see the point of adding more sorting options to the list to clutter a nice streamlined interface. Pick what games YOU like and mark them as favorites!
  22. Hi - just posted the first version of a Vice vic20 config.. Got a hell of a lot more complicated than the c64 one but seems to work ok for now! I'm sure there are several bugs in it but i have yet to find them... So, will leave the ball in your court and let me know how you get on Check to config sticky
  23. Vice Commodore Vic20 Emulator Zip Setup -------------------------------------------------- This Config allows you to run commodore Vic20 roms that are zipped. You may ask, why would i want to run them as zips when they are so small already? The main reason is that a lot of the good vic20 rom sets are already zipped and tidy. I used GameBaseVic20, Tosec, and No-intro sets to check this config. Second thing that this config tries to do is to determine what memory banks need to be active to run the game image. If you have a unexpanded 3k game and try to run it on a vic20 with 24k of expanded - it will not run. same rule applies for many different sizes. I have checked over 200 images and all runs fine. I have not checked cartridges fully, but it should recognise what memory area the cart needs to load into and run (unless the cartridge needs a SYS call to run it - then it is time for you to type on the Vic) This works the same way as my c64 config. so... Place the contents of 'VIC.RAR' in your Vice emulators root directory and import the emu config in 'Vic20EmConfig.RAR' remembering to change your paths. Set Xvic.exe to how you wish (it will auto to fullscreen) and run the wonderful GameEx. Hope all goes well... If there are any probs or suggestions, please open a thread and i will see what i can do.. UPDATE: Vic.rar updated. Found problems with a couple of carts not running. Fixed and carts now load to correct memory space. All tested work! Vic20Emconfig.rar Vic.rar
  24. That is great. We have been chasing this solution for so long now that i feel i am missing part of my life now... oh dear Seriously - great to here it is working now, hope the frame rate is also spot on. Have fun!
  25. Well done, both windowx and windowy were at -32000 ? Changed them back and then had to set to fullscreen mode and switch to window with alt-enter. All works great again.. you are a star, a quite pointy one, slightly shiny.
