  1. I thought it was worth posting as there were none at this resolution Also, the icons contained within may be of use to others building themes..
  2. Worked a treat, thanks for your help Tom.. Now, about those alpha channels......
  3. Just uploaded a new theme that I have been working on for far far too long. The theme is Only for high resolution (1920x1200) and has a large preview area. As such, this theme is best suited to a desktop system of a high-ish spec. The theme contains many new icons for games systems (any more required - pm me), and lots of new ones for general GameEx icons. Ie. Search, News, Jukebox, etc. Have posted a few screens so you can look first as the download is a bit on the BIG side. Sorry! Any suggestions are always appreciated! Theme can be downloaded from the themes section on the main page! (RetroBox)
  4. still going... takes a while!!!
  5. i think - it is 20meg download (ntlworlds top one) and i believe 512 down!

  9. Trying to upload a theme.. It is zipped and seems to cop out right at the end displaying this Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage Most likely causes: You are not connected to the Internet. The website is encountering problems. There might be a typing error in the address. What you can try: Diagnose Connection Problems More information etc... Why oh why! Is it because the file is a bit large at 169 meg, but it is the first 1920x1200 theme and i can not reduce the file size... HELP!

    ZX81 Config

Posted a ZX81 config for those who are interested in a silent, black and white, computer from 1981 http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?s=...ost&p=40304
  11. Config for ZX81 emulator EightyOne Import and change paths as usual zx81.rar
  12. Works a treat - Thanks Will post a config for it!
  13. Thanks... Looked through all my drawers, the broom cupboard and also in the dishwasher all to no avail!
  14. I just looked there and have not got one? Some buggers come and run off with it, the bounders! All I have is a VKCodes.htm... That was not much help! I will have a look when I get home from work. Perhaps I put it somewhere safe (Am using an older version of GameEx on the work laptop and have possibly deleted it?)
  15. well, um - i type at 96 words a minute.. HA, so - you wait, in a couple of years of dedicated tutoring, I will get there first.. Mark my words...
  16. how do i send ESCAPE to an emu (Eightyone) to make it go full screen. seem to have tried everything, including prayers and crossing fingers. Tried to type in that microsoft link to find out by typed it wrong 3 times and now i give up! sitting in corner sulking!
  17. imposter! <grin> ps. you type too fast - i was getting there
  18. Am not at work to check exactly, but it is in the region of 30-40% reduction. Right-click on the folder to compress, select properties, click on advanced, and then tick 'compress contents to save disk space', press ok and then apply (use recursive directorys if wished). be prepared for quite a wait. Best to do it when you got to the land of nod. It may look at times like it has stopped, and if you click on it, it may say 'not responding' do not worry - just leave it to get on with it! (the process can be reversed if so wished by un-ticking the box). As to compat on the two emu's, All i can say is that I have A large collection on which to base this. Yes, i agree that it may be the dumps! but they all work in epsxe 1.7. Also, re- ultraiso, I have had no problems with it, just make sure the image you wish to convert is recognised as mixed-mode and all will be fine.. hope this helps

You tell 'em Tom... It always scares me now whenever i see you have replied to a post just after me... I am a nervous wreck! The medication I have to take is something terrible. Sleeping tablets at night, valium during the day.. I have to keep away from bright lights and loud noises Thought you were gonna tell me off again for replying to that post... <phew> (exhales deeply) Like the look of the V3 theme BTW
  20. I am using Epsxe 1.7 and prefer it over Psx. As to the issue of compressed iso files, I just set windows to uses compression on the playstation iso folder, this has no hit on performance. Epsxe is not hard to set up. If you are a nvidia user, download the latest openGL (nuch better for nvidia chips) graphics plugin. set its properties to nice, or fast, select a full screen res and that is that. Use the null driver for iso loading. I then make sure all my images are in cue/bin format (convert with Ultraiso - Works a treat with many many formats) and use the Epsxe -loadbin command to execute from GameEx. Trust me, I am not biased. I use Psx for video grabs as Epsxe does not work with fraps, and find that a LARGE quantity of my iso's fail to run. I have nearly 1200 that work with epsxe and of them, i would estimate that 30% fail with psx. Yes, i was using the latest version! Ok - that is ny 2 pence worth It's all I can afford....

I had a similar problem, and used the goodgb64 dat (get it here - http://www.emuhq.com/attachment.php?id=42 The archive should be extracted to the dir containing GB64 roms. Use gbc2long.bat to convert roms, it will rename to c64 zips to more meaningful zips and place them in a gb64ren folder. Now, use cmpro thingy and add the "Gamebase64 - Licensed V2.03.dat" to the dat database using default settings. go to rebuild, point to your roms for source and then select the gb64ren dir as your destination and rebuild. I used this system to convert 15,100 gb64 zips. The file structure of the resulting zips is not perfect, but works fine for me. ie. '1994_00023_01.zip' becomes '1994 - Ten Years After (23).zip'. I tried to create sets using other dats (toesec and no-intro I think!) and only got a few hundred to build. So I will stick with the GB64 set. The GB64 set also has the bonus that multiple disks are contained in one zip (disk1 of 2, disk2 of 2, etc). This is handy when using my config as when CCS requires a disk change, press f10 and the unpacked files are all there ready to select the next! Not sure if this also works with GameEx's built in zip support? Hope this helps Tempest! If you get stuck, feel free to use google :) <smirk> Chriss - You should be able to find the full V2 get of GB64 roms, or download a complete Gamebase64 setup with roms (can't tell you where - say hello to google). I used a fresh v2 set and as i say, using the method above, build 15,100 roms. There does not seem to be any roms worth mentioning missing - good luck.
  22. I think Brian was refering to the emu config you are using for GameEx. Select the Dreamcast settings in config and export and post that. The ini you have sent is for nulldc beta 1, you stated you are using beta 6? Install beta 6 to a new, clean directory and set that up for GameEx, there are several configs available on the config sticky that should help if a new install of nulldc does not
  23. Nice to hear from you to.. Take the pile of resource hungry crap that people call Norton and destroy it with fire, dance round it and chant. Then get yourself a copy of Esnets NOD32, install, wait, wait some more, then realise that all is wonderful again - Trust me, Norton is PANTS! Tempest - Paaa!, Asteroids all the way...
  24. The HQ set works a treat on mine. The vids appear instantly with alpha blend on. System is a medium range 2gig ram quad core. I'm sure a high clock single core or any dual core would run the HQ set Perfectly. Even on a 1.7 gig laptop they do play with minimal stutters (unfortunatley)
  25. Quick note (don't worry - happy to wait) Will there be a way to import V2 themes. Oh, and can i have alpha channels :)
