  9. Hi Tom, No previews at all. still have previews for movies, games, etc. When you click a song, it says playing in the bottom left corner for a few seconds and then goes away. song never plays. I have a friend who just signed up for Gameex several days ago just for the karaoke after seeing mine. His reacts the same way I'm using the megamane theme. He's using the default list.
  10. Updated to the latest version of Gameex this morning. Wanted to see and use the new preview on karaoke. A great feature. After the update non of my karaoke works. Makes no difference if the are zipped or unzipped.
  11. used the zip karaoke function just last week end. Worked great
  12. Gameex ini attached , downloading 32 now
  13. Same problemn here Adultery.

    Mess 144

GameEx won't run a game if you reference a map file wheather it is highlighted or not. MESS 144 makes current map files useless. Other emulators i've tried like Mednafen will run from a map file. But only ones that are not highlighted.

    Mess 144

As I'm only using a few roms for each emulator, it was easiler to do them manually. Played with Map Magician and if you want to make a complete new map file, that may be the way to go. Changing just a few manually is alot easier (Map file attached) used a map file from GameEX. When you change a color as in the attached map file it puts them at the top of your rom list regardless of the name. Would like them to stay in the alpha order of the map file. Just adding the color won't let ness run the rom.The name doesn't change. Reading the latest MESS Docs, MESS references their XML files in the hash directory of MESS. Could this be the problem with the map files. Mess'ssnaming convections seems to be somewhat different then GameEX, no-intro etc. If I only read the rom directory, MESS runs the game with no problem, Using the database works fine with mess.

    Mess 144

No mess works fine now with my rom sets. But if I use a map file or change the color as Tom suggested, they won't run under mess. Remove the color or map file and they run fine. Yes if you use a map file or add the color code the name changes.

    Mess 144

The new MESS 144 will not work with the existing map files in GameEX. Has anyone experienced this and if so have you found a solution.

  20. Roms folder of the MESS install
  21. Hey FrequEncy, Thanks for your help. In my GameEx Ini For each emulator the following line shows which systems are run with mess Example: StartPageName=[Console] Atari 2600 (MESS) Each shows the command line for that system. The only one that now works is for the Atari 2600. The rest start MESS and then goes back to GameEX. I've ran the debug and it says MESS can't find the rom folder. When reading the latest MESS manual. It appears the current method that is being using in my command line won't work with the latest build. Also messui.exe is no longer in the newest MESS build. If I go back to MESS 141 , all my existing commandline work fine. I do have the latest bios and they match the roms.
  22. Here is my GameEx ini showing all my configs. Only the Atari 2600 is working. All the other systems showing MESS run MESS but MESS can't find the rom path.
  23. Acually had tried that. Tried it again after your post and still only works on Atari 2600. Got to be something else wrong.
  24. I'm using the command lines that are generated by the setup wizard Atari 5200 mess.exe a5200 -cart "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" -joy -now -nonewui As in my origional question I used the one generated for the Atari 2600 mess.exe a5200 -cart "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" -joy -now -nonewui and it won't work. I change to mess.exe a2600 -cart "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" And it works If I change others using the same as 2600 and they don't work
  25. Installed the new MESS 144 and updated all the needed files. Now none of my systems using MESS work inside of GameEX. They do work outside of MESS. I've played with the comanndlines and the only one within GameEx I can get working is the 2600. To run it I'm using a stipped down commandline with no options. mess.exe a2600 -cart "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" The same commandline doesn't work with the others. Anyone else experiencing this and has any one figured out what the new commandlines should be.
