  1. Thanks for the update Tom! Will there be a enhansement down the line to have a different foreground for different games or system. I can see our great community taking a theme like Space Invaders and making hundreds of new forgrounds for that theme. AS you change system or game a different foreground would be used reflecting that game.
  2. THank you Tom!!!
  3. Another great update. Any chance of a theme option in the future for seperate foregrounds being used for each system or game. Using a theme like Draco1962's Space Invaders or Joust, One could use a static background and have a different forground images for each system or individual game. With all the graphic talent we have in our community, I could see alot of great foregrounds being made reflecting each individual game or system. I think this option would make for themes that would go way beyond any frontend currently available.
  4. Thanks to both of you !
  5. Happy Birthday
  6. Looks good. I gotta ask a question about a theme I wanted to do. Never done one so I need to ask a Theme God, is it even possible. When I scroll thru my games, could the foreground of your Space Invader theme change to another foreground that reflexs the game I'm on. So for Space Invader, the forground in this theme would show. For Pacman a different foreground would show etc. If possible I could see a theme like yours being used and others in the community making their own foregrounds for their favorite game and subbitting here to the site.
  7. Looks good. Really like the idea with the cabinet. Would be cool to do the same for consoles and have the console show with it connected to a TV and the game shows on the tv
  8. Thank You Tom!
  9. Thanks Guys (a lttle late) Always forget to check this. Thanks Draco1962 for the snap
  10. Looking Good Ben!
  11. Naw, I was just testing you to see if you read my post. Actually, when you work all day and play games all night. You tend to not be able to see or type. I like your idea about having GameEx display the emulator name as a selectable option under each emulator group so that it may display in the game info next to the Play Game option. Would also like you to be able to select the rom set also. ( See my post above) Starbuck
  12. Thank you, Tom !
  13. Drago1962 I think he understands that. His issue I believe, is he doesn't want to have 3 or 4 setups per system. One for each different emulator.
  14. I like your idea, in fact been thinking about it for awhile. Would like to be able to make one of the emulators the default.
  15. Thanks HK
  16. The added _0000.png is the problem. GameEx will try to match the screenshot to the closest name and its finding the screenshot some times.. The best way to ensure that GmeEx finds the correct screenshot is to have the screenshot have the exact same name as the rom.
  17. Would like to see folders for emulators (like done with videos). No matter how I handle my roms, merged or otherwise I get a mess with regards to my lists. My roms structure is such. E:/Roms/Genesis/roms/ NoIntro TOSEC/ Games Applications Demos GoodRoms/ US Jap Hacks Protoypes Darkwater The above works well with the download service and all my media is downloaded. I point GameEx to the roms directory and it finds all my roms. I have tried merging and not merging roms. In either instance, I get lots of duplicates in my listsand a huge map file that needs to be manually corrected. Would like to be able to when I open up an emulator, have the folders show up and then when I click on a folder have the roms show for that set. Then have the databsae read that set and have a map file for only that set. I have set up several of my emulators as multiple emulators for the same system. And it performs as I want.I can play just the No-Intro games if I want or just the Goodroms prototypes, etc.. In some instances I would have to use up 20 or more slots if I wanted to set up all my emulators like this. They all use the same media, database and emualtor so I have to point each seperate emulator to the same folders. If the roms folders could be listed under the same emulator I could accomplish this with only one slot used per emulator. The database and download service all access multiple folders, it would be great if GameEx would to. I think this would be a great feature for GameEx and a neat feature so that player could access and play just the set he or she wants to play. Many times when someone is using my cab, they want to play just a certain type rom but they have to scroll thru a long list to see a few prototypes. Thanks to all in forum and Tom for what you do!
  18. Thank you Tom!
  19. Another great update
  20. Thanks Ben
  21. Congratulations Mike!
  22. Thank you
  23. Thanks Tom and headkaze!
  24. Thanks fRequency, Ialso try and track down Tempest. If understand his program right,I can put in multiple directories , No=Into TOSEC, etc. and will build a merged map file from these. I then wonder if I then in the Setup Wizard use merged roms or not.
  25. Thanks, I play with that. Sounds like it may be what I'm looking for. What tips off the map file for it to be updated. I just added 10 new roms to my NDS folder and it didn't update the map
