  1. Circo Will you be adding these to the the download service utility
  2. Because of the large number of systems I have emulated, I Have scaled my number of games for each emulator down to 10 or less favorites. I still continue to collect games but GameEx doesn't access these games. This has improved the gaming experience for myself and friends greatly. Load times are lots faster and I can always add or subtract games from systems as I need too. I still would love to find a way to have Gameex list all the games that the systems I have but highlight the games that are actually available. I have tried maps files and map magician but nothing works. I don't want to merge roms, so I would like to have GameEx list folders like it does in videos. My only solution now is to create a seperate emulator for each of the different rom types. Would like R:\Roms\Nintendo NES\Roms USA Japanese ETC ETC This would help to reduce the number of systems listed in my system lists
  3. Thank you Tom
  4. Evening bkenobi Using the Mame database now but its not changing the name.
  5. Had to use the windows version and it works with that. Could not get dos version to work. Still don't know how to get the roms names to read as they do when you use mame with the setup wizard. Thought I might use a map file but I need to find one for Mame 36. commandline that works mame32.exe "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" will fine tune for joystick etc. as needed
  6. I want to use Mame 36 as a seperate emulator in GameEx. I have it set up as its own emulator but when I run it, it goes to a lack screen for abit and then back to GameEx. Could someone look at my commandline and tell me what i'm doing wrong. I have tried both the dos and windows version. Both run outside of Gameex. mame "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" Thanks
  7. Thank you Tom ! Another great improvement
  8. Looking good !
  9. Sorry took so long to get back, Tom., I installed the latest gameex on two different xp machines of mine. Both have the same shark codex. The faster of the two machines plays fine. The slower of the two machine plays previews fine for zipped or unzipped songs,, but the songs that are on zipped take longer to start the preview. When play the song that are zipped I get no sound. If I unzip them they sound is fine. Gonna chalk up the problem to the speed of the machine and consider this solved.
  10. Well glad ya quit smoking, wouldn't want you to kick off before you finish the rest of the emulator backs for your theme.pausing stops the song but resumes when you go into the emulator screen. Don't have it set to starts the jukebos when gameex starts
  11. Hey Adultery, How do even have time to read posts. You'vr got a theme to work on, a awesome new program and a life I hope. Any event I have those boxes checked for every emulator. When I click on a song in jukebox it plays fine. when I exit that song, and go back to the previous menu it still plays, it will play in the background no matter what section I goe to next,it playes in every screen that I go to. Plays withs the emulators, the videos. everything. The only clear button is clear and que the songs, which then starts a song. The only way to get the song to stop playing is to exit GameEx.
  12. I've cleared the list didn't help. Must be checking wrong box, caus eit still plays
  13. Now that Tom has worked his as* off on karaoke, I have a neat request. GameEx downloads album art for mp3's. Could Gameex do the same for karaoke. Gameex could either download the album art based on the album cover for the karaoke disk or even cooler would to download the boxart based on the song title and band or singer. All the themes have an empty box just waiting for something to fill it.
  14. When I run the jukebox, and play a song it continues to plays when I exit jukebox. Will continue to play when I go into emulators for instance and plays behind the game. Is there a setting I'm missing that turns jukebox songs off when I exit jukebox.
  15. Was one of the zipped I uploaded already. Interesting it plays on the vista machine at work but not the xp at home. Sound plays in preview but not when you select the song Any zipped song doesn't play in xp. Sound plays in preview for zipped.
  16. Got home and ran everything on my xp setup. The vista codec that was on this computer was about 45 days old. When I checked setup in this version Microsoft is checked. When I exited the setup for the codec it recommended I removed this version and install the newest version. I installed it and had to go in to this version and check Microsoft. When running karaoke on this slower machine, the results were. unzipped karaoke play in preview, with sound and video but takes about a minute to load first time. About there 30 seconds after that when scrolling. Video and sound plays when selected. zipped karaoke play in preview, with sound and video but takes about 5 minutes to load first time. About half that when scrolling. Video plays when selected, but no sound.
  17. That did it Tom on the work Vista computer. Headed home and will check that computer later and report back. Any chance of adding folders down the line like in movies. In any event Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You
  18. Sent you the gameex.ini and a karaoke folder with a zipped and a unzipped song. Interesting thought : The karaoke zip is 4.79 mb. In the copiedvideo folder it is 3.37 mb The karaoke unzipped is 4.39 mb. In the copiedvideo folder it is 4.39 mb The gentleman who recently registered will be running only karaoke on GameEx. He has about 900 songs. If Gameex doesn't delete the songs from the copiedvideo folder after use. Then he will double the space he takes up running karaoke.
  19. Evening Tom, At work right now. Will be home in a couple hours. Will e-mail then. Have all three systems running an older version without previews and they currently work.Just don't have the advantage of any of the updates. Vista and Windows 7 on 12.41 has no previews and when you click on a song goes to a black screen and then back to gameex. XP plays previews but 5 to 10 minute lag before they start, if zipped. About a minute if unzipped When you play song unzip plays fine. Zipped plays with no sound.
  20. Installed a previous version from a flash drive I had laying around on all three computers (Work, Home and new user) And all is good on all three computers. Then copied in Megamame and used that theme and all is good. Upgraded to latest update and problem comes back on all three computers
  21. Another revelation, In the C:\GameEx\Media\copiedvideos folder, for each karaoke song I have a avi and a mp3. If I play either by itself thru media player or winamp,I get either a video with no sound or sound with no video. GameEx isn't making a preview of the karaoke song with both. Nothing ties them together. A quick question what keyboard key changes the screen aspect.
  22. Don't know about my work computer or my friend's. But with my home setup I've been running different sernarios on it and I can now get previews with sound for zip and unZipped files. Still no sound for zipped files when I play them. I do get sound in unzipped files when I play them. And I've think I have figured out the problem. At least on this system. Because karaoke previews start somewhere in the middle of the song,(Just as a movie preview starts in the middle of a movie) GameEx has to run the karaoke file part way thru each time you scroll to the song for the preview. Because the cdg file is tied in with the song there is a lag in the preview starting. I noticed the unzipped file started after about a minute of setting on the song. Using this logic I thought: First gameex has to unzip the file. Them play it in the background and then at what ever Gamex internal setting are for when the preview is supposed to start, strt playing. I let the scroll set on a zipped song and after almost 5 minutes the preview started. Perhaps karaoke previews should start at the beging of the song and not try to start somewhere in the middle. That way the cdg doesn't have to play catch up with the music. Sound plays in previews for both, if you wait long enough for the preview to start. I still (On this machine only have sound with a unzipped song. A zipped song plays but no sound.
  23. Always coming up with cool stuff, thanks for all you do
  24. Zip sent
  25. What zip Tom. My old laptop has an old install of 12.24. It works on that machine Can I just run that over my existing Gameex install. Or do I need to wipe gameex from my two computers and my friend and copy our Gameex.ini into the old 12.24 install.
