    Game Ex lockup

Please post your log, after this happens. Tar.
  2. 1. What are the problems in general with Minimizing can you explain in more detail? 2. I am assuming it just flashes for a second? This has happened all along as far as I know. Or is this something new? 3. I am not sure the mouse pointer can be controlled outside of GameEx itself. Ill have a look though at some time. 4. No four? 5. This is because youve got attract mode to start with no sound in MAME. You can change this setting. PS. I dont think these are issues specific to a version, but I guess you posted in a hurry or wernt sure. Cheers
  3. And I appreciate it night
  4. Just a note to all, is there any demand for a flun/fluff forum just to goof off about GameEx, gaming, any old crap, say whatever you like, and not get me ranting at minus4 ? All I am getting at is I dont want too much of that on this GameEx forum, but Ill happily setup something Like a GameEx Fun/Fluff forum or something. This would be the Serious Stuff Forum. with an aim to being more construcitve and productive (although not completly stiff ). What's everyone thoughts? Cheers, Tom.

  6. "im a programmer with no life manner." Really, new to me. I think I just believe in being productive. Note: I am letting this go completly. Its not about life manner its about respect for one an other. I don't want blood at all. I was trying to help you help yourself, and was advising you and others that yourll get more technical based help if you use good english and non emotional posts, only because its easier to understand, more descriptive, and saves a lot of going back and forth. I was also the best one to answer your post IMO. Nobody knows how the DVD functions in GameEx work except yours truly. As I said I'm letting it go. I suggest you do too. I dont want any more talk regarding our scrap. This project is supposed to be fun and I am actually a fun bloke, but I am also professional, as is this project. Dont think all this is not bloody hard work, and remember who pays the bills. I know it's easy to forget though. Cheers.
  7. I've not seen these posts from you last 3 months, youve probably spent an absolute maximum of about 10 hours trying to sort this and not 3 months. Ive spent at least 3 months in man hours developing GameEx, you dont see me fussing often when people like you post with a childish self expecting attitude? What exectly is the bug in Jukebox visualise, if you press the back control it exits fine, no? Read the docs page for the full keys. I am sorry if DVD is not working for you, but if your not happy perhaps you should try another front end, or try to work with the sole developer of the application in an adult fashion to try and resolve the problem? I am sure his attitude would be much better if you take that approach. What do you think?
  8. Yes, DVD player DOES work. Your video card may not be good enough, that could be why, It needs a newish card, might even need to be DirectX9 based. Your probably pressing the escape key, and not the back control. Could that be why it is exiting or not exiting? Edit: By the way, posts like that come close to pissing me off.
  9. I can add this kind of support quite easily, but why would you want to run GameEx horizontally and the Games Vertically? That would be a hell of a lot of physicaly rotation required there. Could you explain?
  10. Hi, No worries, you speak English 10000% better then I speak German This is simply a bug in version 5.07. Go download the latest version which is currently 5.09. All the best.
  11. Thanks Cupid, I'll make sure it gets into the next release. No problem about the graphics. Thanks again. Tom.

    5.09 - Out

12th September 2005 - GameEx 5.09 DVD Player now works with NVIDIA Codec, and likely a few others too.
  13. It probably does not like the ArcadeVGA, The process is not designed to run on a an ArcadeVGA cab. I think GameEx or MAME cant load in a window because your system resolution is too low. What do you have it at? (The game should show in a window. Your desktop should be in the background if its working right)
  14. Why do you need it to be a different colour?
  15. Heres some more DLL's to try out if your still up for it. bin.zip
  16. Just wanted to know, do you want vertical support for low res arcade monitor or PC monitor? Might sway me
  17. One more thing to try first. Try deleting MCVCRT.dll from the GameEx directory. let me know, I have a feeling that might do it, and be the reason for all those weird dependancies. Cheers, Tom.
  18. It does not like some DVD Codecs. PowerDVD and WinDVD deffinitly work. Try setting the MAPKeys to on. I would not bother trying to run ZSnes on a 3 button cab and dont have any suggestions.
  19. Sorry, no luck with that one.
  20. The last version you could use should be 4.89, but I dont have it. Here's the old DLL's and supporting library. You should be able to use the latest versions of GameEx with these, but MNG videos wont work. Theres a GameEx binary also which I think is 4.80 GameEx.zip
  21. Sorry about that, missed a line of code. This issue is fixed in 5.08 which is now available. [Make sure you clear your cache to download the new install] Cheers, Tom
  22. Oh well. That last error is a bug in 5.07. I am upping 5.08 right now it fixes that.
  23. I upgraded the DLL's to Visual Studio 7. See if these are any better. Cheers. binxxx.zip
  24. [Thanks Rob]
  25. The 640 and 800 themes do change the resolution. There is a setting in each of there theme.ini files that tells them to. You can modify the themes to change to a different resolution, or use any available setting to override GameEx main settings.
