Added setting to not wait for blitting. This might stop flickering on ancient video cards. Although causes slow down. Fixed exception when returning to News list after attract mode runs. Attract mode will no longer fire up when waiting for the news list to populate Now checks that an emulator ROM exists before launching. Fixed cant not exit attract mode and play the game.

I get all working and imperfect games when I use those settings. In other words, works for me. Although I did not try with no roms.

For 1. as I said in the PM. If you set MAPKeys setting it should be player 2 and right flipper.

Are you trying to launch DaphneLoader.exe instead of Daphne.exe perhaps. Although I have not tried the latest recent Daphne release, its working pretty decent for me, especially the gamepad support we have now.

Really no need to apologise, your most welcome here You could try MAME32FX to fix the sound, this build normalises sound in MAME or something, generally much better for sound, and loads quicker too. Just one thing to try though. As for the scan lines, this must be something to do with your video card or drivers. Which card and drivers are you using?

I think the whole idea of GameEx is as an alternative to one of those media players. I am not sure MediaXT is quite the same thing. I dont really understand the relationship, or are the interfaces your talking about just web applications, and the device just acts as a web browser? I do plan on adding some lookups and my movies style features to GameEx though. I am keeping my focus on GameEx at the moment, as its such a hit. I may resume work on MediaXT at some stage though.

Most commands can work in a theme.ini but I would keep the file very small, to only what's required for the theme, such as if it needs to run at a certain resolution. If there really are no special requirements theme.ini can just be a blank file. Which would be a hugely better idea than copying your whole config over. That could cause loads of problems. If your having touble identifying what the commands are, just ask. Good luck.

I am planning on implementing a module that will allow access to and list most played games soon. Wont be a bar chart though, just a list of most played games in order. It's already a requested feature. Cheers. Tom.

OK, I have a fix for it. It's still deffinitly an issue with the card/drivers, but ther'll be a setting in the next release to fix the flickering for you. Tom.

Funnily enough I did some testing on a P3 700Mhz with a TNT2 card (same drivers) and got the same thing. GameEx ran full speed but I had the flickering. I have spent some time looking at this, but it appears to be the card. Perhaps an upgrade is due? these cards seem to be at least 5-6 years old. I can't think why the old version worked. If you look at the log for it it will say the version. That might shed some light for me. Cheers.

You should be able to select a blank empty selection, no? There three options, one is blank/empty. Select that one.

MAME itself only records the video at the moment. Maybe MAME Dev will implement recording sound with it later. Who knows.

Thats the option to not play Attract mode with sound. You cannot turn off sound in MAME completly without actually turning off the sound chip emulation. This causes some games not to work. Therefore I just set the volume to the lowest level possible, which can sometimes still be heard if you have you volume whacked up. I am a little confused, I thought you said you could not play attract mode games, it exited!?

It works in comjuction with whatever you set the 'Shift1_Paging' key as. For example if you set it to 'A' Pressing 'A + Arrow Down' would page down. Make sense?

Any chance you could start posting feature requests under feature requests? I'd also like to move your feature requests in this topic to the pinned topic. OK to do that? 1) Keep me posted on that. 2/4) Thats because GameEx minimizes before launching games to free up memory used by the application. Windows animates window changes by default. You can actually disable the window change effects in Windows XP under Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance. Does that help? 3) I already have a function that does that in GameEx. Good idea, Ill look at it.

Looks like your using the Project64 Advanced Emulator Config. Turn this off.

Oxbows config does not have the MApKeys setting turned on. Did you turn it on? I think thats the issue if you did not? Cheers.

This is normal behaviour for GameEx. ie its supposed to do that., and not an issue It lists seperate albums for seperate artists. It did not used to do this, it was a feature I added. I'll add an option not to do that, next release or so. Tom.
