  1. 5th October 2005 Version 0.50 released. Automatically bypasses MAKE OK Screens. Advanced List management and filter options for Games. Play music from a folder while the screensaver is running, all formats supported and no reliance on windows media player.
  2. To hopefully make this clear. The above quote. On your PC its not working for some reason, for everyone else its working. If 9 or 10 is previously manually installed - GameEx should just install and not ask you to download wmp9. This logic has been in GameEx for months, I've not changed it, at least intentionally. Did you try reinstalling wmp 10 manually?
  3. No, its not changed in the latest version. It has to be your PC setup. You can install WMP manually, GameEx detects if its installed, and wont prompt you, so it really makes no odds, if you understand what I am saying? GameEx does not work properly or will not install properly if WMP is not installed. If I make it manual, GameEx wont work properly if its not installed, and users will find it harder, need more support, and may even give up on the product just cause they dont understand. Sorry, I dont agree at all, hopefully I've explained why.
  4. GameEx should detect if WMP10 and automatically skip. I run WMP10 on a couple of machines. Not sure whats going on with your system. Did something happen to your WMP10 installation? Did MS release a new version or something? If not perhaps try a reinstall or repair of WMP10. As I said GameEx should detect if WMP10 is installed and not ask you to download 9.
  5. I think your video card may lack a little power. I suspect if you set the 'use 16 bit colour' option in the config it should work.
  6. It should show under every other time you load, randomly, and for a bit longer. I did take Smiffs advice. I think if you load it a several times you should see it. Please let me know if its not working though. Thanks. Tom
  7. Thanks for feedback dommer. However unfortunatly its not possible and not likely. To put it honestly and simply, GameEx is a different product to MameWah. Its superior and offers lots more in many ways, but is kinda aimed at a slightly different crowd, or people who prefer the way GameEx is designed over MameWah, or perhaps feel the other features of the user interface outweigh. Hopefully yourll still stick with us here though
  8. It does with new installs, although I cant do much with upgrades without risking wiping out settings. By the way, it might be best not to point newbies to editing GameEx.ini if you can help it. Every single setting is available by the configuration app, and the settings are managed and controlled to be correct within that, ie by drop downs. I am not even documenting GameEx.ini anymore as youve probably noticed.
  9. I wondered where you got to Have a cold one for me
  10. I'm taking that as a compliment, but unfortunatly no, the official documentation is that there is no way to use the green button in custom applications, but if I find a way I would like to utilise it, and try.
  11. Yes, that was a bug caused by a request by Smiff
  12. The font size is fixed depending on the resolution, but the type face can be changed under display settings in the normal config.
  13. Dont tell me ATI drivers have issues too now? Smiff, Can you double check the Dont Wait Blitting Setting under Advanced Config. This should not be turned on in almost all instances. I have smooth animations (Full frame rate) on a PIII 700Mhz with Geforce 3. Something must be up with your config somehow or somewhere if your using a 9600. That's what I use on both my development PC and HTPC. Although I dont upgrade my drivers regularly, as they work, and I dont play the latest 3D game efforts. Cheers.
  14. Again, dont worry. I am not removing the functionality, its just a bug I need to fix. I will look at it and fix it.
  15. Don't worry, was on vacation last week abroad. Surprised someone only just noticed Just got back. Yep your right more could be done, and I plan on doing it!
  16. I think your right it would make sense. Map Files without multiple dirs may still work. Ill look at it at the weekend. Cheers.
  17. Hey Oxbow, Just wanted to say this did not go unnoticed. Its very cool, made me tingle a little. Thanks for the contribution. Good job
  18. err, I think you need to open a window, go for a walk, or jerk yourself off or something! Or Why not load up GameEx and play a game!?
  19. It is a great idea, its something I've been thinking about implementing anyway. Look out for it soon!
  20. You dont need to start over, there is an option to 'resume' creating snaps. Or at least there should be? Programs do crash sometimes, and theres really nothing I or GameEx can do about it.

    NEW idea

OK Great. Can you just go ahead an email me and ill set it all up.
  22. Just a sorting fix for the most played games. TimesPlayed=4 was ranking higher than TimesPlayed=399 etc.
  23. Its not possible, yourll have to use another build if you want to use GameEx. Sorry. I dont know if this is an illegal MAME build, but the site you pointed me to, does contain illegal builds, and this breaks the forum rules. Tom.

    NEW idea

Night, I am happy to setup a theme web site and forum. I can give you your own site with FTP, and also setup a specific forum (with you as a moderator), that is if your happy to run with it and do all the work for the site and ongoing forum support. Can you comit to that? Thanks, Tom.
  25. I think this is an issue with ZSNES rather than GameEx. If your using Media Center yourll probably find not using the advanced zsnes config and using MapKeys works much better if you press the Green button. This issue is caused by Zsnes not linking Media Center loading while its using your graphics card. Your sending the Q key to exit, but its not responding, probably because its showing an error dialog. Either remove the key to send or dont use the advanced config. This gameEx will kill the ZSNES process, and should return to MCE eventually, and not hang. Thanks.
