  1. Sorry, I don't have a clue at the moment. I expect the debug version is pretty unusable though, due to being so slow.
  2. I am aware of this. This is an issue with MNGLIB and not Mnger itself. I have found no suitable solution to this problem yet. Although will keep trying.
  3. It trys to hit OK.
  4. 1. Windows 2000,XP, MCE, 2003 (it should work on Windows 98SE/ME but I dont think it does) 2. The latest version (Although Video Playback was properly implemented in Version 4). I can only offer you support for the latest version. 3. Yes, you need Windows Media Player installed. The latest version is recommended, although I've had it working on the version that ships with Windows 2000 which I think is 6. 4. Yes you need Codecs to play AVI files. Install FFDSHOW here: http://ffdswhow.sf.net
  5. Not really too sure what changed. Here is version 5.00 of GameEx.exe without all the slow down caused by the debuging. Please try it, and if it's OK, ill upload a new install to the Web Site. Thanks, Tom What screen are you in when when the W shows incorrectly? What's the full text? GameEx.zip
  6. I did most of my testing with MAME32FXu6. Can you try that. I agree MAM32FX is good, it seems to load much much quicker too. BTW do you know when the Skip cmd options where removed, I actually thought it was u3, not u2. Or was it just plain .99?
  7. OK, what Im trying to say is Windows media Player itself playing full screen has nothing to do with GameEx. If your watching a movie in GameEx (which is not Windows Media Player), you can change the aspect by pressing Enter. You actually said the player did not work fine, you said you had no picture, which I said is because you are running on Windows 98. You really need to take a lot more time to do your posts, they are very hard to read and understand, with very bad English, and we are talking about technical information. This is not a board for Text/SMS messages. If you dont read or speak English well you should say so in your post, if not please think about what your writing, read over it, think about it and try to explain intelligently in an adult fashion. I am actually trying to help you here, please help me to help you. If you post again in the same manner, I'm going to ignore you, but I really mean no offence I just dont have the time.
  8. You wont find much at the moment in relation to mame MNG's. Its an incredibly new feature to MAME and only available in the Latest MAME intermediate builds, which for example are not available from the MAME.net site just yet in Binary form.
  9. By the by but I think this exception is fixed in 4.99 anyway.
  10. Are you talking about playing videos in gameEx (which uses components of media Player and not Media Player itself) or actually Playing in Windows Media Player itself? In which case your asking the question in completly the wrong place, and I cant really help. If certain videos are not playing in Windows XP, you probably need the Codecs. Go ahead and download FFDSHOW from http://ffdshow.sf.net Also, if your talking openly about playing copyrighted movies you downloaded from the internet, your also breaking the forum rules, so please go elsewhere if that is the case.
  11. Only temporarily. I already have GameEx skipping these screens. However, theres been an issue reported, so Im still working on it. Probably wont be long when its implemented into the ScreenSaver too. All you need is a little patience, its coming.
  12. There are some issue with Windows 98/Me for playing videos and DVD's I think. Sorry. Although are you running Windows media Player 9?
  13. Rob, you seem to be producing a lot of cool tools/acceseries for GameEx. i think we should probably host these tools on the GameEx web site, as there pretty decent. What do you think? I can give you an FTP with sub folder to post new versions also. How about it? Do you want to do a quick right up of your current tools. I believe theres two out there?
  14. OK, you did not say the resolution your trying to run it. Is it 640X480? Do you have the ArcadeMode setting turned on or not? If so turn on the Large fonts setting. You could also try putting the Outline Text setting on. Or also turning off ArcadeMode. In regard to Terminal Services, i use it, but it will only work if GameEx is running in a iwndow and not full screen. What will work though is UltraVnc http://ultravnc.sf.net (free). Let us know.
  15. So its working in Windows Media Player you mean? Did you try that? Can you please post your log. Are you using Windows 2000 or XP. I think theres issues in 98/ME
  16. Your mame executable looks like its missing the '.exe' on the end of it therefore GameEx is looking for MAME32 instead of MAME32.exe. Obviously MAME32 does not exist on your hard disk.
  17. No problem, was having a bad day! I have to agree with the comments from djrobx and Smiff though really. Although I will seriously think about hosting a previous version on the site.
  18. I only tested with a few -32 versions. What version are you using, let me know where you got it from and Ill do some more testing.
  19. Also try this one, I think it might give us the exact error description at startup Thanks. Please do let me know. GameEx.zip
  20. I think Im getting closer to the problem. Please replace GameEx.exe with the one attached, and post the log. It is a debug version with a lot of logging. GameEx.zip
  21. please explain how its crashing exactly and post your log.
  22. I think he deffinitly needs to double check Rob, if I set it to 0 it does exactly what he is describing.
  23. Ok, i think its users who just have 2.0 installed. Would a check for version 2 only suffice? IE if they have 1.1 and 2 then that is fine? Or does 2.0 automatically install 1.1 also?
  24. Emph, I do like the idea of keeping 1 previous version, but I do consider almost every GameEx release a stable full release. There has been a few bugs repported lately, but these seem to be configuration errors, due to users PC (like buggy .net framework 2), or bugs that go back lots of versions that have just been identified. New versions really are not buggy, i am kind of upset you have that impression. We are getting a lot more users lately, hence more issues. There deffinitly not Beta versions.
  25. In your original log you have MediaCenter mode as 0. Change this to the recommended option. This problem is purely your configuration. The setting is under Tweaks/Performance. Sorry I did not spot that earlier. You should be laughing now.
